With views, gardens, ponds, and a year-round creek -- Roundtop Retreat offers a range of ecosystems. Wander from small woods to grassy yards, from spring-fed ponds to babbling creek. Visit with the hens and collect their eggs. I'm probably around, working on one of my many projects to rehabilitate this land and make it more enjoyable. Feel free to say hi and chat - or keep to your solitude. It's all good!Whether you are camping in a tent, your car, or even a small pop-up, Upper Meadow makes it easy. A drive-in site close to electric and water, Upper Meadow offers privacy as well as spaciousness, and a perfect view of Storm King mountain. You're close to the salamander ponds (and ducks!), with plenty of space to play, cook, eat, and relax.

What to expect
RV/tent site
You'll have this Hipcamp all to yourself.
6 guests max
Campfires allowed
Firepit, private. All three of our sites have their own, safety-compliant fire ring. Firewood available on-site; let us know if you need a delivery!
Toilet available
Portable toilet. Our restroom is the good kind of suprise -- we keep it rustic on the outside, so you'll be delighted when you enter and see how clean, inviting, and not-icky it is!
Pets allowed
On leash. First off, we love dogs! The well-behaved, under-voice-control-at-all-times kind in particular. If you can't guarantee that, we ask that your pup remain leashed. We want to guarantee a clean, pristine experience for all campers. If we find, um, evidence, of your dog's visit after you leave, we'll take $30 from your security deposit. Does it cost us that much to scoop your dog's poop? Of course not! But that's how strongly we feel about leaving the spaces pristine for the next campers. Please pay attention, and scoop that poop. Okay, that's the end of the doggie fine print. We hate to come down all rulesy, but we've learned a few things recently.
Potable water available
Spigot, hose. Three pump spigots (electric - no manual pumping) deliver sparkling clear mountain water.
Picnic table present
Wifi available
Roundtopretreat-guest P/W: Welcome!

Pack it out
We appreciate you taking your trash, compost, etc. with you - we don't have trash service out here, so it costs us to dispose of it for you. Thanks!

Margot's campsite offers a charming blend of nature and comfort, with many guests enjoying the peaceful surroundings, accessible creek, and friendly hosts. The site seems to cater well to families, with kids frequently mentioned to enjoy the baby chicks and creek explorations. While the property generally receives high praise for its beauty and amenities, there are occasional concerns about unexpected charges and noise from nearby neighbors. Overall, it's an appealing destination for those looking to connect with nature close to Mount Rainier.
