We stayed two nights there in May. The location is great, away from the crowds, in a beautiful area surrounded by high desert with trees/shrubs and huge red rocks. The place definitely has a hip/funky side to it, which we loved (if you expect a standard well-planned campground maybe this is not for you). We found a great camp site with two tables, funky chairs (including what looked like school bus seats!) and fire ring with grill, close to a huge red rock we climbed to watch the sunset. Not all the sites are that well equipped, some without tables and/or fire rings; for these more rudimentary sites maybe the price is a bit high, but for ours it was well worth it. There were only two other occupied tent sites, it was very quiet and beautiful. There are two portable toilet at the entrance of the tent area - a couple more closer to the farther edge of the tent area would be nice. We met the owner who was very super nice and gave us recommendations/directions to explore the area. Check out the rim and bottom of Canyonlands, away from the Moab/Arches crowds. Overall we had a fantastic and peaceful time there, and I wish we could have stayed longer.
