Such a fun experience! This was my first time solo camping and it couldn’t have gone better. Danny is a great guy and really goes out of his way to make sure you’re comfortable and have everything you could need. Meeting all his animals was so much fun as well!

Such a great stay and highly recommend! As someone who travels solo, it’s so nice to find stays that make me feel safe. Danny is such a kind host and is a big contribution to why I felt so safe. Ringo & the animals were fun to be there and made the stay so unique. Teepees we’re set up great, felt cozy, and the art on them- you’ll have to ask Danny about, it’s beautiful. If youre looking for a stay that will fill your heart, experience nature, and have access to amenities- this is it!!

Danny is the kindest, most genuine man I’ve ever had the pleasure to spend a couple of days with. His campsite and property are truly beautiful. He has infinite wisdom and great story to share. Ringo the dog, Hazel the goat, Paco the Alpaca, and the rest of his animals are all so fun to hang out with too. He was so hospitable and friendly. Truly the best campsite I’ve ever stayed at.

Danny has a nice place to camp out at. I did the tepee, it was fun and was setup nice when I got there. He let me feed his alpaca which was a bonus.

I had a great time at Danny's place. I was greeted by the property manager Ringo who showed me how to get to my spot 🤣. He's the best dog and loves to play fetch and follow you around.
Danny is great and so friendly. He can help give you different places to explore.
I stayed for 3 nights but knowing what I know now should have stayed at minimum 5 nights to do more exploring of the area. Will definitely need to come back.
His property I feel is pretty central to all the spots I wanted to visit. Moab, Arches and Canyonlands (either entry his property is not too far away).
The porta potty was clean and tp well stocked.
The great bonus were his farm animals and getting to feed them.
I car camped here and felt safe as a solo camper. The sunsets are breathtaking and there is very minimal road noise and the occasional coyotes howling in the evening. He has tee pees also available for an add on which I may check out at another time.
Would definitely recommend this camp site.

We had such a fantastic stay at Danny’s place for our group climbing trip. Do yourself a favor and spend some time with him: he’s fantastic! He took us to check out a Boulder/crack climb that was off the map, gave us the lay of the land/history, played guitar with/for us as we packed up, and even left us fresh salsa from the garden after our long day adventures. Ringo, the campground mayor, was so sweet. Can’t wait to return!

I highly recommend staying here. The garden is 10/10, and Ringo is the best dog to see first thing in the morning

What a fun and magical evening!
It began with being greeted by Danny and his dog, Ringo. What a great human being Danny is. He was incredibly accommodating and even shared some goodies from his garden.
The outhouse was amazingly clean and absolutely no smell whatsoever. The teepee was great. It got windy in the middle of the night, but you couldn’t feel it at all. I left my phone outside all night and did a time lapse video. I woke up this morning and was so excited how it turned out. I have never seen stars like I did last night at this property. I one million percent recommend this hipcamp!

We enjoyed so much camping at High Hogans and hanging out with Danny and Ringo (and the other guest Mary). It was such a bliss meeting great people. The views from the camp are unmatched - great sunrise, even better sunset, and all star night. Danny’s hospitality and willingness to share knowledge and everything else is beyond description. Camp is just between Arches NP, Needless part of Canyonland NP, snd Bears Ears National Monument - plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, and cultural exchange. Real jewel of the Hipcamp.

Danny’s land is the perfect place to stay for camping! Danny is incredibly friendly and is an amazing host. In the morning before we left, Danny shared armfuls of his amazing fresh produce he grows on the land. Ringo, the friendly guard dog, kept us safe all night and loved to run and play with us too! Overall one of the best stays we’ve had!

Such a awesome site to escape the heat while being in proximity to Moab. Danny was an amazing host who shared his beautiful garden, and carried great conversation. (Bonus points for having roots in the same Ohio hometown.) A nice basecamp for adventuring around the area!
Ringo was a very good boy and definitely a highlight. Would definitely come back for more butt scratches and fetch.

Our stay was wonderful! We stayed in a teepee, which was such a unique experience. Upon arrival, the host, Danny greeted us and showed us where to go. Everything was all set up and ready for us, which was lovely after a 6 hour drive. Danny was super nice and his dog Ringo is a very good boy! Danny supplies you with everything that you need from candles to blankets. We had access to a propane cooking stove, water from a hose, and a porta potty. The stars were remarkable and we were able to see the milky way and many shooting stars. Danny shared delicious home grown herbs and vegetables from his garden with us and we got to feed his alpaca and sheep. Danny is highly knowledgeable about the Moab area and has tons of tips and tricks on where to find the best places for whatever you are hoping to do on your adventure. Ringo came to check on us in the evening and also greeted us in the morning, while carrying a stick, showing us how fast he can run, and wagging his tail. We had a fantastic time and honestly cannot wait to come back to stay again.

The land is beautiful and far enough way from Moab to get some great stars and peace. Very laid back vibe and we even got treated to some yummy and fresh garden goods. Great for a small group too.

Danny was great at communicating and helpful with suggestions and tips. The teepee was super cool and the queen air mattress was more comfortable than I would have imagined.
I am a Montana girl that roughs it most of the time so when I say the cleanliness and sanitation of the porta potty was less than par, I mean it was dirty.
The property was nice, paths and parking great, however it was a bit of a junkyard with lots of abandoned cars and stuff around. Had I known ahead of time I still may have rented the place but the photos do not show the whole truth.
We honestly rolled in to sleep near 9 pm, got woken by a car horn and loud truck running for nearly an hour (neighbors?) at 3 am and then we were up and out of there by 5 am.
Not the best $89 spent. Had it been $30 and I may be able to accept some things. Sanitation though is KEY!

We loved our camping experience. Danny greeted us and explained how everything was set up. He would check in to make sure things were okay and would address any concern right away. He even shared delicious food from his garden. If you like dogs, Ringo, will come check on you from time to time. It was a wonderful experience!

Danny greeted us with his loving dog Ringo and lets us pet his lama and two sheep. Had lovely conversation and showed us to the site and the teepee. Authentic indian teepee was very confortable and airy. amazing night sky even better than nearby arches nat park. very pleasant stay.

Danny was an excellent host. His place is a great place to get a quiet night's sleep.
The out door restroom was clean and furnished.
He made contact with us right away.
He greeted us upon arrival and showed us where everything was located. He made us feel very welcome and at home.
We stayed in the 3 person teepee.
The cots were very comfortable.
His dog Ringo is very friendly.
