Very nice property, private feeling, and the restrooms were surprisingly very nice considering it’s not a major rv park or federal/state campground. To be honest the restrooms surpassed most I’ve seen in those other campgrounds. Check and make sure the listing includes the bathroom. Ours originally did not because we stayed for the eclipse and had a “boondock site”, but due to weather there were not a lot of other campers, so Ryan was nice enough to let us use it.

The property consists of 10-acres in hill country and contains a working flower farm. There are magestic live oak trees throuout the property and there are a variety of camping options. Due to our trailer size, we were in a dispersed site which was located in a large open pasture. The area was easy to navigate and quite level. We had no difficulty setting up our trailer. Both day and night we could hear the sounds of wildlife. On arrival we were met by our host, Ryan. He provided the information needed to make our stay extremely pleasant. If you're looking for a relaxing stay surrounded by nature, I highly recommend this property.

Wonderful stay! So quiet and beautiful. Ryan and Mona were friendly, responsive, and even offered to let us stay at their home when a scary storm blew in. We weathered a gorgeous thunderstorm in the A-frame and felt snug, safe, and cozy. Also, the bath house was super comfortable and the fresh flowers icing on a beautiful hill country experience! If in the area, I'd for sure come again! This also, was our first 'glamping' experience and so worth the expense!

The A-Frame Cabin is beautifully appointed, and Ryan and Mona are friendly and gracious hosts. Although more campers were present at other sites on the property, our cabin and its surrounding area felt peaceful and private. We look forward to visiting again in the future!

Ryan met us upon our arrival to show us to our site and the amenties. He is very friendly, accommodating and responsive! ❤️
We absolutely loved Ryan's property! The spot we stayed on was large (accommodating a RTT), provided a picnic table, trash can, fire pit and chairs to sit near the fire. The site also has string lights which adds extra lighting and a wonderful ambiance.
Ryan also did an amazing job providing a solar powered bathroom, sink and outdoor shower. I wish we could have used the outdoor shower, but we stayed during the winter with temps in the 40's.
At the time we stayed, a family of Axis deer were fun to watch wandering the property.
Ryan's site is highly recommended and we will visit again. 😊

This was our first Hipcamp trip and chose Ryan’s land due to location and positive reviews. We met Ryan upon arrival and he showed us around his property. Ryan’s hospitality really made us feel welcome. There is a lot to do pretty close to the property like the 4-Way Bar which has live music from time to time.
We enjoyed the experience and will certainly be visiting again!

This is a unique place to stay to get away from busy campgrounds. Good Ground has just two campsites and one A-frame cabin. This private setting is what I was looking for! Their outdoor hot shower is fantastic to get the real country side feel.
The host's are amazing and they helped me out with some basic camping equipment that I could not bring on the airplane.
It's about half an hour drive away from local activities (hiking, trail rides, caves), which was actually a scenic drive.

We had a wonderful time camping here on Ryan's land. Very peaceful, with room to spread out and relax. There is water cooler with clean water, a nice port-a-potty, a big picnic table and fire ring. We enjoyed walking around his scenic property to explore.

As a host, Ryan is top in my book! The place was so well kept and clean with a bunch of added things to make guests feel at ease while camping on his grounds. Clean place to go to the bathroom, extra water for guests, and lights that make fireside camping at night so dreamy! I’m definitely keeping this site on my list of options the next time I go camping!

Booked for 3 nights the night before, and everything was set up when we arrived. We were greeted and given a tour of the property, it's big enough to wander around, plenty of space for privacy if you're with a few people. There are enough trees around that you could hang a few hammocks, but the spot right at the entrance is perfect to catch the sunrise from your floating bed.
At night the stars are much more visible than in the city. Not bad for only being 30ish minutes from SA. There's a couple highways that surround the northern half of the property, but they're far enough away that road noise is distant and not disturbing. The distant neighbors seem to leave their dogs outside to bark all night long.
Speaking of, I went for a long walk around the neighborhood and got chased by a couple small dogs. I didn't realize at first because I was jogging with earbuds, but they chased me for a good couple minutes before I got tired of it and chased them back. A few minutes later I was greeted by a couple puppies that were playing in the street and I'm guessing their mom. They followed me until I got to the next property, then they peeled off. Obviously the host isn't responsible for any of that, just FYI.
You CAN pet the donkeys next door if you're patient =) There's also deer everywhere and I saw a hare.
All in all we had an amazing stay and would definitely return, Ryan and Mona are fantastic hosts; my friend and I highly recommend staying at Big Oak.

Absolutely loved staying on Ryan's farm. Its a beautiful , peaceful farm a little less than half hour from Boerne. The campsite is a little away from Ryan's house and is very private. There are solar-powered string lights at the campsite which look fantastic in the evening after sunset.
Ryan is a very caring , attentive host who ensures your stay is nothing short of perfect.
I couldn't have asked for a better experience camping in Texas. Looking forward to returning in the future.

The Big Oak campsite is one of my favorite places to come camping at. It’s on a beautiful property that is peaceful and quiet. The host were so friendly. They came out as soon as we pulled up and gave us a tour of their property. We highly recommended this campsite. We are excited to stay here again soon.
