The Property: Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. Perfect for bird watchers- blue and green herons, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles and more. You may spot the creek critters- minks, beavers, and otters. Various types of bass, craw dad's and minnows are in the creek. We operate similar to a state park. We are open to the public from 10am-7pm, peak season. We have other listings that are spaced so each of our guests has privacy. Please see aerial photo for an overview. We sometimes have small events (birthday parties, ect) at the pavilion. Please feel free to message us first, if you would like to see if there are any events during your stay. There are 2 restrooms centrally located at the pavilion. One bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap, shampoo/conditioner included. The restrooms are shared with our other listings. There are USB and regular outlets in the pavilion and WiFi. During warm season the outdoor kitchen is available as well. We also rent out a Suite which is located above the pavilion. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Please note there is a gun range 2 hollers away and depending on the season, it can be heard from our property. Tent in the Trees Listing: Your tent site is built above the trail and overlooking the creek. The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, extra blankets & essential cooking gear. There is a fire pit with grill and griddles for cooking over wood or charcoal. Really, all you need is clothes, food and drink! Primitive Camp Site: The rustic camp site is DIY. It is 300' from pavilion, and 600' from Tent in the Trees. We provide a picnic table and fire pit You bring all the rest of your gear. Typically, you may park next to your campsite. No RV's, converted vans are permitted. If you have a very small camper, please message us to see if we can accommodate. There are no hookups, and no loud generators allowed. Bundles of wood available $10. Escape in nature and sleep soundly to the sounds of the creek!

Campsite overlooking Spring Creek and waterfalls nearby! This primitive site can accommodate 2 tents and up to 6 guests. Parking is at the site. Picnic table and fire pit provided. You may scavenge for wood but we recommend bringing your own. You have use of the restrooms and shower at the pavilion, 300' away from the site. The restrooms and pavilion are shared with other guests. Outlets and WiFi at the pavilion as well. During peak season outdoor kitchen can be used for refilling water and washing dishes. Sit back, relax and fall asleep to the sounds of the creek. Lots of bird watching and sometimes creek critters- minks, otters, and beavers. We have other listings, however, we strive to position the sites so everyone has privacy. We are open to the public 10am-7pm (kinda like a state park-just with way less people!). Your site is located creekside. We can accommodate vehicle camping, just no RV's.

Relax and unwind surrounded by nature. Your private tent, patio and grill area overlook Spring Creek, a state scenic river. The tent site sits between Upper and Lower Waterloo Falls. Perfect for a romantic getaway, the tent has a queen size bed, mini-kitchen area, folding tables and chairs. There are 2 patios both accessible via stairs. The site is 300’ from parking area and we provide you with a cart to use for your belongings. We provide your essential cooking supplies, linens and towels. You bring food, drink, clothes and firewood and you should be good to go! With the exception of power and hot water at the pavilion, this is an off-grid experience. There is solar and battery lighting at the tent. Enjoy living on the river and breakaway from everyday stress.

Absolutely loved this spot. Honestly, such a gem of a camping spot. Right next to the bigger falls, nice spot to tent camp and have a fire, but also a lovely spot to pull your car onto the ridge of the falls. Me and my dogs had a wonderful camp, even in the pouring rain!

Incredible trip! Camped right along the creek and between the two waterfalls on site. Awesome for swimming and just hanging out. Kids loved this place and didn’t want to leave. Alice was a great host.

This was our first ever camping trip as a family, it’s myself my husband and we have four kids ages 8 to 14. Alice was amazing in helping us prepare for our trip. She gave us some great tips before we headed out there. As far as the campsite it was perfect. I could not have asked for anything better. It was beautiful & private. The hospitality was 10/10. We are hoping to head back for a trip in the fall because I just know that it would be absolute breathtakingly beautiful in the fall! Thank you, Alice for an amazing stay! My kids were so sad to leave

Best camping we could have asked for! The campsite was prefect with the waterfall directly beside you. We ended up exploring the land instead of one of the local parks and had the most beautiful day alone in nature. The privacy, beauty, and safe feeling of the property will definitely bring us back in the future! Alice was a great host and a wonderful first experience with Hipcamp!

An absolutely gorgeous spot. I love nature but my husband is a bit of a diva. This was an excellent compromise. You can charge batteries and access WiFi at the nearby pavillion. The tent is stocked with most conveniences you’d have at home. I was impressed with the mini kitchen and benches + folding tables you can use to eat inside in case of bad weather. And it’s steps away from a great swimming area + waterfall where you can float. Overall 10/10 experience, I would absolutely recommend and I’d love to come back some day and check out some other waterfalls in the area!

Water access right at our campsite! Beautiful water falls up and downstream with floating/swimming areas. Not crowded but looks like they could host large events. Pavilion with shower, toilet, fridge, kitchen, benches, roof, and WiFi. Host was super nice, helpful and welcoming!

Alice’s tent was an incredible stay! Everything was well thought out and you don’t need to bring a thing outside of your food & clothes. The water features were wonderful and you could spend the entire stay on the property but we chose to also explore the nearby state parks. We stayed over 4th of July weekend so the property was very busy- not a bad thing but worth keeping in my (lots of visitors with day passes, a food truck, etc). As long as you don’t mind sharing this beautiful land with others, I HIGHLY recommend staying here.

Loved camping on Alice’s property. It was such a beautiful site, our boys enjoyed exploring the river and swimming next to the waterfalls. We stayed over 4th of July weekend, so it was busy with the day visitors, but they do a great job giving the campsite privacy. The campsite is private, it’s easy to find, and Alice was a great host.

We absolutely loved our stay at Waterloo! The falls are gorgeous, the campsite was clean and tidy (and right next to the water!), and use of the flush restroom and shower was great. Great vibe, and Alice was so kind! Only hiccup was they were doing yardwork (mowing) from about 8:30am-10am on our first morning there, sometimes really close to our camp site. Totally understand that they need to maintain the landscaping, but it was a bummer to be sipping coffee by the quiet stream and then be interrupted by the loud mower. That was the only thing that kept the experience from being perfect!

Alice is a fantastic host! The zen and breathtaking views made us add an additional night to continue enjoying it! We traveled with our two dogs and they couldn’t get enough of the waters and waterfall. We spent more time at the upper falls as it was easier swimming conditions for the pups. Alice was extremely helpful our entire stay and even gave us some insight for some additional views and hikes! The tent is stocked with everything you need. In fact, we brought too many things that were already provided. We can’t wait to come back! Has been one of my most enjoyable Hicamp stays so far!

We loved tent camping at Waterloo Falls! E stayed for 5 days! Alice was an awesome host and her property was absolutely beautiful! Staying and sleeping along the river to the sound of the waterfalls was relaxing. Whenever we got hot during the day we just hopped in for a swim/float. There's a lot to explore like the upper and lower falls there. We even saw one of her goats. The area is next to multiple state parks and downtown Cookeville 18 minutes away. We 100% would recommend to others and will be staying again!

We stayed at a campsite recently and absolutely loved it! The best part was the amazing waterfall just a short walk away. It was incredible to be able to walk down and see it up close. My toddler especially had the best time! He loved throwing rocks into the stream and just exploring everything. The owner is incredibly sweet and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The bathhouse had hot water (huge plus after a chilly evening), and the pavilion had great Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than we planned, which was such a bummer because we were really enjoying it. Still, it was totally worth the trip, and we’re already talking about going back!
