A lovely getaway

My friends and I had a wonderful stay! There were no events at the Raceway (you can check their website for the calendar) so noise wasn't an issue. There were many beautiful birds on the lake, and the whole property is really well-maintained. The cows were also really sweet and curious, we loved them.
The toilet is conveniently right on the site and was reasonably clean. It was a little tricky to get a fire going since the firewood was damp from the previous days' rain, but it worked out! The solar powered lights helped a lot once it got dark out.
Faith was very responsive to questions and was overall a great host!

Raceway Retreat is a lovely camping spot. Its beautifully maintained with landscaping and solar-power lights. There are lots of comfortable and clean chairs around the stone firepit and mulch clearings in cooking and tent areas. The private pond is a beautiful spot for fishing and evening walks. The owners were very communicative and pleasant and the cows in the pasture were adorably playful! They even curiously followed after my kids as they were walking along the fence.
The only downside was the noise from the nearby racetrack. It is very closeby and we camped on what was unfortunetly a late racing night. I can imagine that in an RV it wouldn't be an issue, but if you are tent camping (especially with early bedtimes) I would reccomend checking the race schedule first to make sure there aren't night races. Besides that it was absolutly perfect!

Great peaceful Getaway

We loved camping at this peaceful site. The view of the 5 acre lake was wonderful. I was delighted by all the extra at the site like chairs around the stone fire pit, wood, fishing rods, dog tie out, garbage can and more. The porta potty was better than most. I loved the extra touch of the hanging lights and solar lanterns around the sight. The flock of geese that followed us as we walked our dogs around the lake were a bonus treat. The host Faoth was quick to answer any questions. Definitely a top stay on our list.

Quiet little spot next to a large pond. A couple cows stop by to visit in a pasture that’s also nearby. Plenty of outdoor furniture and firewood. Pets are allowed with more than enough space for them to exercise. We have a 30’ bumper pull camper and my tow vehicle is a crew cab long bed truck so total length of about 45’ this campsite can be a little tricky to back into as you need to blind side back in to avoid driving on the lawn. But once in place you’ll enjoy it. There’s no electrical or water however there is a portable potty nearby.

Awesome setup under a little grove of trees with everything one could need…chairs, picnic tables, fire pit and cooking grate, huge stack of firewood….everything. The pond had some great bass action, too! Thanks, Faith!

Property was absolutely gorgeous! The site is nestled in the corner of the property and very private. There is a very nice fire ring and an abundance of wood to burn.
Faith was extremely responsive and very helpful and nice!
We got a couple visits from the cows during our stay! There were no events at the track so it was very peaceful. The pond is serene and nice to walk around.
100% would recommend this site!

Very nice campsite. Other than noise from the racetrack, i had no issues. Very nice that they supplied firewood. Caught about 10 Bass and 1 giant crappie in the pond. Only about 20 minutes from Shady Maple too. I had a good time

I had a great weekend with the kids definitely I’ll try to book it again(probably when the race track is not been used) but location is great love the 2 cows they came to say hi.
Thank you again I hope we left the place just good as it was when we got there or better.

Perfect for what we needed

Nice big flat site! The offering of firewood to burn at our leisure was a bonus. The racetrack is a thing and it is loud when operating. The night we stayed was a diesel truck night so lots of loud big rigs running up and down the track and road during. BUT, that was over by about 8pm and the rest of the night was peace and quiet. We enjoyed our stay and could imagine if one was there for an event at the track it would be an awesome place to visit and stay less than a quarter mile away.

Beautiful place and such a peaceful environment! The lake was a perfect focal point and the cows were nice to see up close. We enjoyed walking around the lake and taking in all the sounds of nature. The fire pit is communal, but we didn't end up using it, so that wasn't a problem. Fire wood was provided and there was lots of seating. The perfect reset!

Thanks to the hosts for making the last minute reservation. Had a peaceful sleep in my hammock and had some cattle to keep me company. I recommend this camp most definitely!

The grounds themselves were very nice. It is TOO CLOSE TO MAPLE GROVE RACEWAY
The show at the raceway was on when I got there. I heard them announce the races and roar the engines every 10 to 20 minutes until well after 10pm. Also, for a campground that only has one site you expect privacy. I heard someone else’s music. Clearly not really only one site there. Not worth the money if there is a race that day. And yes, there is a race that day.

I loved that there were chairs and a picnic table there for you to use they also have a nice boat and fishing rods for you to use while you camp there. I would definitely recommend and come back to this campsite again.

The camp site was private and extremely quaint! When we arrived everything was clean and inviting. Great areas for tent set up with level areas and wood chips. No hard bare spots. Fire pit was large with lots of free wood. Nice chairs and a clean picnic table along with everything else made getting into relaxation mode easy. The pond added to the quaint surroundings. Faith, the host made sure everything was in order. We will definitely be visiting again!

I’ve been Hipcamping for four years, mainly twice a year from Georgia to Maine and vice-versa, so I have used MANY hipcamps. Faith stood out. She provided everything one could need, including free firewood, lighters to start fire, tent stakes, etc. The site is well appointed. It has hanging dim lights, a picnic table, fire-ring and chairs, is flat and easily accessible, is kept up, and a bonus—porta-potty! She is extremely responsive vs some hosts who don’t respond. Top marks to Faith! It also has a lake, and cows— great idyllic-looking atmosphere. Do read the description of the site for details. I recommend this site for all reasons above.

Beautiful place to stop for the night! Only wish we could have stayed a little longer. We reserved later in the evening and Faith was quick to respond. Directions were clear and our spot was great for our large RV/trailer (45ft)
Our kids loved being able to try their hand at catching some fish before we had to head out in the morning. She also had a picnic table and fire pit available for use. We would stay again!

We really enjoyed our time camping at Faiths campsite! The shaded site was nice to get out from the summer sun. Fished a bit at the pond, cast after cast was catching bass which was fun. The string lights were a nice touch for the evening.

Amazing site! The solar powered lights were a beautiful touch on a peaceful and spacious site. There was a small boat we were allowed to use to paddle around the lake and a big fire out, chairs, portapotty at the site and water access that made cooking super easy as well! Thanks for an awesome trip :)

Beautiful site with a lovely pond to walk around. The fire pit was wonderful and despite the rain we were able to have a nice fire with the supplied wood. Level site and lots of chairs. Nice picnic table. All in all a great site. Unfortunately, as nice of an addition as a port of potty can be, I couldn't even smell the campfire over the smell of it.

Excellent Place to camp!

This is a very nice place! You are not in the middle of nowhere, but far enough away from the houses to feel secluded. The site was pretty much perfect, very well kept. The host supplied the firewood, which is a huge bonus! I camped there with my dog Sierra, the horse came down to visit us around 11pm. Startled my dog, not in a bad way....it was fun! I would highly recommend this camp, we had a great time!

Relaxing camp site.

Extremely nice camp. The site is very secluded and safe with a beautiful private pond. The hosts home looked to be about 300 yards away giving plenty of privacy. Host had some nice touches such as chairs, fire ring with cooking grates and solar string lights. Very relaxing. We only had 1 night stay but we look forward to returning.

All I can say is very very nice place to camp. Faith and her husband go out of their way to make sure your stay with them is pleasurable. The fire ring and supplied chairs and even a few fishing rods to fish their lake goes well beyond what most others do. We will definitely be back
