Nice peaceful spot. We didn’t spend a lot of time there in the evening but it was easy to find and had big starry skies across the road from the beach. Hearing the frogs croaking was soothing to fall asleep to. In the morning we checked out the dock at the peaceful lake. Close to pacific city. Would stay again.

Dave was great! The lake was beautiful and warm and you could hear the ocean waves crashing across the street. Beach access was a 2 minute walk away. Also the bins of firewood were a huge plus. Amazing spot!

Campsite 2 - Central Location
great spot! we had a wonderful time camping at Lake Pasture. The site was well-kept with plenty of space for 5 people, and there is a portopotty on site. We had a blast feeding the llama, Forest, along with his sheep buddies. PC is an easy 5-minute drive for a surf day. The sites are a bit set back from the road and fenced in, and it quiets down significantly at night. Dave was beyond friendly and welcoming. Def recommend this spot for easy car camping on the coast!

A unique stay with lots of animals!

Campsite 2 - Central Location
We really enjoyed our weekend stay here. How often do you get the chance to camp right on a private lake? The farm animals added a wonderful touch to the stay as well. We were able to find level ground at our specific campsite without having to use any external levelers. The sound of frogs at night is just magical, and the blackbirds will sing to you all day long. We also encountered a few deer just hanging out in our campsite and saw lots of bunnies and bats. The beach is also right across the street, so you have your pick of two water bodies! Bring lots of books and other entertainment because most likely you won't have cell service, but it's always nice to take a break from that.

The Lake Pasture is one of my favorite campsites that I have ever stayed at. The location is very peaceful and offers both lake and beach landscape. I saw plenty of wildlife and enjoyed the peaceful mornings on the doc and walking across the street for sunset on the beach. Dave was very kind and welcoming to my friends and I, offering me suggestions of local hiking and tide pool spots in the area. The hipcamp listing is very accurate in terms of what the site has to offer, so I was able to come fully prepared. Also very easy to find, even without internet or service. My dog and I loved taking walks and visiting with the sheep and llama on site. This was truly a perfect and peaceful stay and I cannot wait to come back.

Dave's land was perfect for our small birthday celebration for five friends. Immediate access to the beach, evening lounging on the lake's dock, and the wind breaks that were built for each campsite made our trip perfect. My partner and I come the area often and this spot has been my favorite camping location thus far.
Dave is so friendly, nice, and attentive to campers' needs and questions. I appreciate his presence on the property (checking in with guests, tending to the sheep and Forrest the llama!). I also appreciate the wood for purchase on the property.
Access to Cape Kiwanda and Pacific City is so easy, you can drive or walk the 3 miles down the beach! We will definitely book again in the future.

This site is wonderful in every way- we loved the sounds of nature (birds, frogs and surf), its proximity to a gorgeous beach, the animals were sweet to hang out with and it was wonderful to meet Dave and get some travel tips from a local. Communication was easy, and the place was no problem to find.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay! The campsites are spacious and very well organized. We loved seeing the birds fly around, hearing the frogs at night, and even had deer pass by our camp while we were sitting around the campfire. The beach across the road was very nice and it was fun to say hello to the sheep and lama next to the site.
Dave has created a beautiful space for people to camp and we hope to return again someday!

Absolutely fantastic location! Spacious and serene atmosphere less than 100 yards from the beach and access to lake! And love the sheep and alpaca right there in the field with you. Dave was very accommodating and helpful. He would provide it for the nominal fee was well worth the cost. Very close to Pacific city for provisions. Love the place, will definitely try to book again

We enjoyed our stay at the Lake Pasture. We spent two nights camping and loved sitting on the dock, birdwatching and feeding the llama and sheep. If you enjoy birdwatching, you will be pleasantly surprised at the number of bird species around the lake. The property is close to Pacific City and several hiking spots. We did not go to the beach across the road from the property since they did allow driving on the beach and we were not fans of that. However, there are plenty of beaches at the state parks to enjoy free of vehicles. The campsite was very quiet and peaceful at night. During the day there was noise from the cars passing by on the road, but it was not too bad. Would definitely stay here again!

This camp site was superb! Dave was very helpful and welcoming. The beach was a little wild - strong winds! but a totally awesome walk and lots of cool shells at your feet, and birds flying over your head (bald eagles, herons, pelicans, gulls). The lake was a beautiful place to sit and drink morning coffee, and cold for a refreshing dip! The animals on site were so cute and inquisitive. Dave also provided some water for washing and cleaning.

We had a nice time on our recent camping trip! The location was beautiful and just a short, easy walk to the beach. Our site (#4) was spotless and very well-maintained. The only downside was the strict dog leash rule—our pup Flash had a hard time not being able to roam freely. Aside from that, everything was great!

We loved our stay at the lake pasture. The camp site was easy to find, very clean, inviting, and well located. Dave was so welcoming and friendly when we arrived and checked in periodically to make sure we were okay.

We loved this spot! It was peaceful and there was so much nature - deer, birds, frogs in the pond. Having the sheep and llama there was fun, and Dave is a super nice host! Great location with walking access to the beach and a quick drive to surf. We'll definitely be back. Thanks, Dave!

This was the best of all worlds combined! Lake, ocean, alpaca, sheep, mountains, sweet host….need I say more? Lots of birds around and myst in the surrounding hills in the morning. We even paddled around the small lake in our inflatable kayak. Thanks so much!

Clean and quiet, right across from the ocean and you can hear the waves from the campsites. It was fun watching and listening to the birds, redwing blackbirds to bald eagles. Dave was a great host, he met us when we pulled in. Pacific city is right down the road, there’s a great little coffee shop with gluten free goodies that were phenomenal.

We had a fun time camping at The Lake Pasture! Great location just a short walk to the beach (across the road). The sites are far enough away from each other to offer privacy, and everything was well labeled and tidy.
The porta potty was getting pretty full while we were there, but otherwise everything was great!

We had a beautiful time camping at Dave's pasture! You just cannot beat the idyllic location. We enjoyed waking up and contemplating the misty lake in the morning hours from the dock or crossing the street to take in the gorgeous stretch of ocean. Incredible sunsets on the beach, spring peeper frogs lull you to sleep after enjoying a campfire. Hanging out with the sweet sheep ladies and their stately guardian llama, Forest was a highlight for me (bring carrots and apples for them!). Dave stopped by on our second day and gave us some great pointers for fun activities and areas to visit nearby. Highly recommended!

I loved my stay in Dave’s land. Perfect spot in great location. Had a campfire with the generous sized tote of wood available to get on site. Watched the stars and explored the coast. Cleanest Porto-potty I’ve ever been in too. Great hipcamp spot!

I had such a splendid stay on Dave's land! From the serene little lake to the red winged black birds singing and flitting around me and the adorable alpaca and sheep. The sites are somewhat close to each other but other campers were also there to enjoy serenity so the ambiance remained peaceful and quiet. The road next to the land was not busy so the occasional vehicle wasn't an issue as the main sounds were the ocean and the symphony of birds and then frogs at night. I loved being a few minutes walk from the ocean and Dave is very friendly and the $10 tubs of firewood were very generous! I can't wait to come back!
