Susanne was such a wonderful host. My husband and I had such a great time exploring the land and the hidden gems that Suzanne informed us about. It was peaceful and enchanting and I would highly recommend it.

We had a cozy night in the en-suite at Susanne’s beautiful home. Our dog loved running in the yard and we were grateful to have a bed after many nights of camping. Would recommend Susanne’s place to any traveler.

Susanne’s place was nice and secluded. The bedroom had a connecting toilet and sink, both clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was rustic and clean. It was nice that pets were allowed. My dogs were welcomed and especially enjoyed the outdoors.
Suzanne had a comfortable set of chairs by the stream which was walking distance. It was cool and peaceful.

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was super cozy and the land was beautiful, and was really close to ojo Caliente for us to visit the hot springs each day

Beautiful spot, cozy, and welcoming. I’m so glad to have discovered this little slice of serenity. Sus provided a long list of must see destinations in the area, complete with links to navigation. Although I could have been content with remaining on the property, communing with the mostly untouched land, I took full advantage of traveling to nearby Abiquiu, Ghost Ranch, Ojo Caliente hot springs, and Santa Fe. I definitely recommend staying here!

A beautiful and tranquil spot for rest and relaxation. Susanne is a wonderful hostess and provides a variety of ideas for exploring the area. The location provides easy access to the Ojo Caliente Hot Springs (highly recommend); Taos; Santa Fe and a wide variety of options for hiking trails. I chose the Ensuite lodging option and had access to a fully equipped kitchen and refrigerator. I highly recommend visiting Susanne and her "slice of paradise".

Susanne’s property was full of magic! Loved the vibe of her home and the creek running through her yard was beautiful. Great hiking across the creek up on the ridge. We had fun rock hounding and jumping on the trampoline!

This was such a lovely experience. Sus was clear and thoughtful in communication and the space is beautiful and comfortable. We loved our coffee conversation in the morning and wish we could have stayed longer!

Such a beautiful piece of land! Sus was a fantastic and accommodating host! I cannot thank her enough for sharing her oasis with us. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, I highly recommend a weekend at her oasis!

Sus was warm and welcoming. Her home and the room are calming and enriching. The bed was so cozy, I slept great and recharged!! I loved making my food by the stream, grounding in their outdoor space and walking the ridge line at sunset.

Great stay with an excellent host! Sus was a very kind host, giving us great tips for local trips and some nice conversation. Easy place to really relax and find peace.
Also, this is a great spot to do some bird watching. With many trees and the creek, we found over 40 species during our stay including kingfishers, warblers, and lots of hummingbirds.

What a dreamy place. Loved all the close by hikes. Sus was an absolute delight and helpful with the sights too. My 2 dogs fully enjoyed themselves and all the open land. Wish I would’ve booked for longer. Will be back!

What a gem of a sweet, golden sleeping spot. Sus has created a private & peaceful place to lay your head in comfort. The nights are dark & dawn welcomes you with the songs of the birds & the bees. Her other offerings have also lead me to place this Hipcamp on my must stay spots in the Santa Fe/Ojo/ Taos areas!
I would’ve loved to of sat drinking tea & connecting & look forward to lingering longer next time.

I would recommend Susanne’s place, but just beware she does have a cat, for those that have cat allergies. I was only able to stay one night instead of the planned two because of my cat allergies. With that said, my stay for the night was otherwise very comfy and cozy. Susanne was a very gracious host and welcomed me at dusk. I felt right at home. My room was private with a locking door, and a half bath inside the room. A bathtub shower was also available just outside my room. Refreshing filtered water by the sink in the shared kitchen was also really nice to be able to refill my bottle with while I’m traveling, as opposed to plastic bottles or unfiltered tap water. It was so sweetly decorated, and had a very calming energy. I really wish I had been able to stay longer. She was also very apologetic about the cat situation and rectified it for me to my satisfaction, which was greatly appreciated. If you don’t have cat allergies, I highly recommend this relaxing gem.

Susanne was very helpful with detailed directions on how to get to her home. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Her home was inviting as was Susanne. We enjoyed a nice conversation with her over a cup of coffee and she helped us plan out a day of adventure around the area. The home is maybe 60 yards from a beautiful stream and very relaxing. We would definitely stay there again.

We loved our time here! The room was lovely and we felt quite welcome in the shared space that was the kitchen and living area. It felt a million miles from everything but there was very easy access (10 min drive) to Ojo Caliente hot springs. I was glad we had good clearance in our car to make it down the driveway.

The space felt like home! Comfortable, safe, clean and inviting. Sue takes time to add little touches that add so much to the stay as well. The architecture of the home is absolutely amazing and so unique! We were able to see the Milky Way at night, slept with window open, the sound of the creek had us sleeping like babies. We recommend this experience to anyone soul searching, or even for a serene getaway.

Pure magic at Wild River Oasis ~~ Sus is a gem, and her place is too! The house itself is a cozy delight, filled with beautiful, nourishing vibes. The surrounding land is amazing to explore, plenty to experience just in the backyard ~~ and the nearby area is spectacular as well. I sank right into the quietness of the winter, and deeply appreciated the creative sanctuary :)

Both Sous and her land are unique and exceptional. The energy of the place is very distinctive, the room was cozy and comfortable, and the land is peaceful and inviting. Sous was quick to respond and helped us find our way, as well as navigate our compact rental car down her dirt road very smoothly. We had a very engaging, deep discussion with her and were so glad for this rare opportunity.
