Nestled on the banks of the Ohio River, this primitive camp is ideal for nearby fishing, boating, kayaking, and swimming! Our unique location offers a picturesque view of downtown Evansville and Dutch’s Island. Set in a no-wake zone, the shallow beachy island also serves as a barrier from the river channel creating calm lake-like waters. We are located only 0.2mi from Dogtown boat ramp and 300ft from Nu Plaza marina. Biking, walking/hiking trails, local park, and pool nearby. On our property, we allow our campers the flexibility to pick their own perfect spot to camp. There are large mature trees that offer plenty of shade and flat ground for an easy setup. Each site has a firepit, picnic table, and nearby trash can. Firewood is included, and complimentary smores packages upon request. Our property features 2 communal areas each with a fire pit, charcoal grill (charcoal included), picnic tables, chairs, and lights. There is access to electric power strips and water hoses in each communal area. Kayaks are available to registered campers only first come, first serve. Price is $25 or a single kayak, $50 for a tandem. Includes lifejackets. Great camping spot!
pretty good place to stay! i was just passing through during a road trip and it was a really nice and convenient spot not too far from the highway. Amber is super friendly and the area seems pretty safe and chill

Watson's Rivercamp Retreat
Amber was SO nice and accommodating! The property is beautiful and the common area and fire pits were excellent. There wasn’t great access to the river to fish at the time, kinda depends on the river height I think, but my mom did go down to the water and jump in. We booked 2 nights, but my mom was still healing from surgery and was in a lot of pain after the first night. Amber was super nice and sent us a promo code for a free night and didn’t mind that we left a few things moved around when we left. Thanks Amber!

Flat land great for tents, bathroom that smelled good (lol), fire pits, land was close to the river, and great host. Would def camp here again.

Just a beautiful and peaceful spot. You're by a yacht club and can use their deck to walk on the water and see a beautiful sunrise. The owner was extremely nice and was there if you needed anything. Definitely want to go back!

Watson's Rivercamp Retreat
This is a large yard around the bend from a major train yard. I love the sounds of trains, crickets, and the Ohio River so that was nice. The host is friendly and had set up a very sweet fire pit with chairs and lights. She provided charcoal and firewood. Everything was clean. Our dogs were happy
