Stobo Farm campsite
We had a great time tent camping at Stobo Farms! The campsite was easily accessible and Josh brought us potable water and filled the camp shower before our arrival. The creek was also very nice.

My sons and I loved our time at Stobo Farm. We spent hours hunting fossils and geodes along the creek. We were even lucky enough to find a deer jawbone fully intact! Hiking Yellowwood State Forest was a treat, too. The campsite was secluded and spacious. We appreciated the grill, table, and chairs. Joshua was an excellent host and kind enough to show us around the farm when we first arrived.

Didn't get a chance to stay long but hope to stop longer in the future. Nice to be able to have my dog with me. Close to IU and Joshua quickly responded to all my questions.

Nice, private campsite that turned out to be a hummingbird hotspot. You can hear the road some but not enough to be bothersome imo. Def better than public campsites!

Josh was super nice and helpful when it came to hiking recommendations. They provided us with clean water at all times. It was pretty buggy but that was probably due to the large amounts of rain before our stay and the season. We experienced ticks, spiders, slugs, gnats and roaches.
Plenty of land to set up camp and a well kept fire pit.

The host was very kind and helpful and stayed up to wait for us as we arrived a little later in the day! They had a great spot that was further away from the road and the house so we had plenty of privacy and space to ourselves! We loved that our dogs were welcome! Thanks so much for a great camping experience!

Josh was a kind and available host. His working farm is super cool, and the land is beautiful. It was gorgeous to wander around on the public land and see Indiana fall in all its glory. The firewood was dry and helpful.
I wish that there would have been more mention of how close the campsite was to a busy and loud road, in noise and in sightline, and I wish that there would've been a bit more clear communication about what was meant by outhouse. I was picturing a dug pit, but instead there was a trash can with a trash bag inside. The tent we rented had holes in it and we left midway through the evening because it was raining and our space had flooded.

Second time going here this year. Not only is this perfectly position between Bloomington and Nashville. Everything else about this place is great. The host are extremely friendly. The farm is so cute and quaint. Even though the farm dogs bark it made me feel more comfortable. Like I was getting an extra layer of protection.

Host Josh was very responsive and helpful during our stay! He greeted us at the time of arrival and took our belongings to the camp site. This was fun to see chickens and ducks running around the property. Hearing the rooster in the morning when we woke up was a pleasant surprise. The layout of the campsite was perfect, we bought some eggs and they were so good with deep yellow/orange color that you can’t find at your grocery store. You got to buy them on your visit as they go fast.

Stobo Farm campsite is a rustic, authentic camping experience located on site of a whimsical farm. Hosts are friendly and offered to transport our belongings to the site as it is a walk-in. Trails lead back to a creek which offers a setting I would compare to a small slice of heaven. It offered hours of enjoyment for my boys wading, catching crayfish, and looking for fossils and geodes. Thank you for a great time!

This was a beautiful farm with a friendly host. We walked down to the river and found geodes and fossils. The area is very humid and wet so we had some trouble keeping the fire going and keeping things dry but this would be the case anywhere in the area.

Josh and his wife were wonderful! Lovely people, great hosts. They’re property is gorgeous and the camp spots are private and with plenty of trees for shade and beauty. They have walking trails to enjoy yourself on and their property backs up to a serene creek full of geodes to collect and enjoy the quiet. My friends and I had the most delightful trip. Bring your hiking boots you’ll want to explore. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an easy camping getaway. Bloomington and Nashville Indiana are just up the road on either side so plenty to do in town for a day trip. All in all A+ experience.

Your going to pull up to a beautiful farm with a road side stand. They had huge pumpkins and gourds of all different shapes and colors. Parking was easy and plenty. They have 3 beautiful dogs that love to tell everyone that your there. No worries though they are fenced in, even though i think they would just lick you to death. The campsite was a bit of a walk, but Josh had the gator ready and our all terrain cart came in handy. The camp site is just the right size for any small group. The grill, chairs, and table we very handy and the area around is covered with moss, loved taking my shoes off. The creek was not far and our dogs loved it. It was crisp but felt amazing to get in after sweating putting up camp. Most of it was pretty shallow but we did find a deep spot to swim in, just dont forget water shoes with thick soles for the rocks. West gate to Brown County State park was 15 minute drive so we'll definitely be back in the fall for the leaf color change.

Josh is a fantastic host and super nice. Met us upon arrival and drove our stuff down to the tent (paid the extra $10 to have it set up for us...absolutely worth it!) Great camping area, but close to a main road, so a fair amount of traffic noise. The creek along the property is delightful, lots of good fossil and geod hunting! Had fun checking out all the chickens, peacocks, goats, ducks etc on the farm...just a really nice, unique location. Highly recommend for any outdoor lovers looking for a unique spot!

What a lovely family on such a nice little farm. Was visiting Bloomington to meet with my professor and also to get some mountain biking in. The location was perfect to reach both. A great alternative to way overpriced Air BnB's in the area.
Unfortunately my mobile phone's service was spotty as I was trying to access PayPal to pay for some produce - so bring a little cash for some great looking fresh produce.
Single female traveling alone, I felt very safe and comfortable there.

Nice place to get away! It's close to town but is still real camping. There is fresh produce and eggs available. The smore kit was an awesome add on! Lots of space and set up. There is a outhouse and a camp shower so be ready!

The property is beautiful. Josh and his family were kind and helpful. The location makes it great to get to Nashville or Bloomington quickly while avoiding crowded state parks. The camper is beautiful although simple. The site is large and we had a great time. I got a dozen eggs and they are delicious.

The RV was so cute! There were chickens running around and an amazing creek that we got to take a dip in. We found lots of fossils by the creek. The only issue was a lot of ticks, so bring some deet!
