The eco-container cottage is an off-grid oasis set in a native Ohi’a ha forest 2500ft up on Kīlauea. Our cooler temperatures and breath-taking night sky views make for a relaxing and unique Big Island stay. The container home is equipped with 2 queen sized beds, an 8ft couch, flat screen tv, outdoor covered kitchen, mini fridge and freezer, pots, pans, basic dishes, wrap around covered porch, composting toilet, and stand-up shower, as well as an outdoor clawfoot tub built into the deck. The container has its own solar power system, rainwater catchment, Wi-Fi with high-speed internet, heater, and we always have hot water!
