Skip light polluted Honolulu and experience Oahu’s most stunning valley property. Also known as Sacred Valley, Kaliuwa’a is nestled on the northeast, windward side of the island. While easily accessible, it feels worlds away with both a million dollar valley view and a 15 minute walk to a deserted beach. No permits are required, above ground fires are welcomed: set up a tent, hammock (site 5), or sleep in your vehicle while giving back to the land through our free Aina Program! Guests check themselves in: straightforward directions are sent via a link in the Hipcamp chat after booking has been completed. Items to bring include bedding, bug spray, a flashlight, and secure food-storage containers. We provide clean restroom facilities with flush toilets and hose showers, just a short walk from the campsite. There are also picnic tables for your dining needs: feel free to bring an above-ground fire pit! There is a free one-hour ‘Āina learning experience that’s is offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays. You’ll learn how to care for and tend to the land and by staying with us, you are helping to contribute to our youth educational programs and to preserve this beautiful place for generations to come. Located conveniently close to the communal showers, this site combines charm and accessibility. A Peaceful and Private Campground

I’m a Hawaiʻi resident of five years and have camped at Nature Spaces several times, using my truck-bed tent as well as two different ground tents. Mountainside Campsite #1 has a spectacular view of the mountain and is quiet and peaceful, with plenty of space and privacy from other campers. The campground is well maintained, and there’s just enough ambient solar lighting at night to create a peaceful atmosphere without taking away from the natural setting. The compost toilet is clean and odor-free. There’s also a private shower with hot water that still allows you to enjoy a beautiful view of nature while showering. The location is especially convenient because it’s near several beach parks, making it easy to explore different beaches without using a lot of gas or spending much of the day driving around or back and forth. On sunny days, I’ve also had plenty of sunlight at my campsite to use my solar panel to recharge my battery banks. The property is gated and has security cameras, which provides some extra peace of mind. Overall, it’s a beautiful, peaceful, quiet, and thoughtfully maintained place to camp on Oʻahu.

It was great! Shower has hot water and they have big spaces between the spots, toilet and shower was a little bit dirty and password for the fence was old we need to call several times to the host to have the correct one, i recommend this place 🙏

I was at the Mountain View (site #3). It was a beautiful view to wake up to and have as a backdrop. It was quiet, minimal contact with others. I enjoyed this but not the place if you want a social spot. There were bathrooms and showers closer, but the warm showers and flushing toilets were a little bit of a walk (Not bad, just fyi!).

Unbeatable Views and Majestic scenery were two of the major attractions that drew me into this camp site. (Trust me when I say they did not disappoint.) I went car camping and it was amazing to fall asleep under the stars then awake with the sound of birds chirping. The amenities were also very nice with a separate area for the toilet, sink, and shower so there was no problem using one if another is occupied. Overall a super great experience, I highly recommend!

Everything was set up in a self explained way, and comfortable setting. An example of the energy in the area. A sow and her piglet walked past our camper van, stopped to root around some small trees 10ft away, and did not mind my wife and I spot lighting it for a gander.

Great private camping spot, perfect for our camper van! We really enjoyed being surrounded by nature and seeing the beautiful mountains being lit up by the rising sun in the morning. Site had everything we needed, including toilet and shower! Great way to unwind and rinse the salt water off after a long day of hiking or being at the beach. We recommend this spot highly!

The Great Lawn
This is our second time staying at Great Lawn because we absolutely love this spot. The views of the mountains are simply breathtaking. This year, a hot shower and composting toilets have been added. Unfortunately, the composting toilets were not very clean, so we preferred walking to the flush toilets, which were much better maintained. The hot shower near the campsite was a great addition and was very much appreciated. The only downside was that we spent part of our stay cleaning it because some guests left behind empty shower gel bottles, bars of soap, razors, dental floss, and other trash. It’s such a shame in such a beautiful place, and it’s certainly not the owners’ fault.

The Great Lawn
Overall it was a nice place and a very beautiful valley we weren’t too far from anywhere which was really nice! The only issue we had was we booked the great lawn and the great lawn is next to a parking lot which was fine besides that there was a conference happening and there were a lot of cars and people right next to our tent. The owner was kind enough to move us to another space which was nice it was still pretty close to the parking lot but it was private

This is our second time back to this place. We came last August. We highly recommend you come spend some time out here. The view is absolutely stunning. Photos do this place zero justice. It’s so green so many birds, a mongoose here and there. If you like camping, this is a great place for you to come and experience.

It was a really beautiful camp! Pit toilet and a shower nearby, 5G reception. We only stayed on weekend nights so I can't speak to the jui jitsu noise, it was really quiet for us. If all you're looking for is a field to pitch your tent, this is the spot.

We enjoyed camping at Mountain View, it was an accessible, flat spot with a beautiful view of the hills. We also had a "campground host" (a friendly calico cat) greet us! Others have mentioned this, the restrooms are a walk away, but clean. And hot showers! :) We walked to the beach on a full moon night.

The view was truly so beautiful! Such a restful spot that truly felt like a getaway. Our campsite was spaced nicely from the others so that it felt secluded. Just truly nothing beats waking up to that view of the mountains. The host was very kind, communicative, & responsive.

Over time, this campsite will be much better, but currently there is still a lot of work to be done to improve it. The showers were a bit out of hand and from site 1 we had to walk across the entire lawn. In the end it was a pleasant stay and a nice owner

No shows 2x for the aina program :(

No one showed up to deliver and run the offered aina program at check in. Check in was a strict 3pm because of the mandatory aina program that is offered. When we brought up that we were looking forward to that part of the stay they told us to sign up for another date. We drove 2hrs to get to this second chance for the aina program and again no one showed up and like the first time it was nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone. The location was beautiful but it’s a shame they don’t care to actually teach about the aina. The idea was there but management could be more much more reliable and accountable.
