This is a breathtaking space that our family has poured many decades and multiple generations into. We are surrounded by jungle, with a freshwater stream running through the entire property and unobstructed mountain views. If you’re especially sensitive to mosquitos, bugs, geckos, free roaming chickens or other elements to be expected in nature, this might not be the place for you. Waimanalo is a small agricultural town filled with nurseries, horse stables, and a high concentration of Hawaiian homes. It remains mostly undeveloped and authentic, and we aim to keep it that way. Outsiders do not often get the opportunity to stay back here, but we welcome respectful travelers looking for an authentic experience who can appreciate this privilege. While nestled against the mountains, we're just a five minute drive from the beach. We are fifteen minutes from Kailua town, where you'll find several grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. This is a working farm. While we are very hospitable, we are not in the business of hospitality. I am happy to accommodate travelers, but I am not here at your beck and call. If that is the experience you are seeking, I think you would be happier elsewhere. We appreciate all of your bookings, and profits go directly back into farm infrastructure and new fruit trees. Tucked away on our family farm in the backroads of Waimanalo, this private wall tent is situated where we once housed horses, looking out onto the orchards, freshwater stream, and mountains. The area is entirely your own, with a private bathroom and covered lanai. The tent is tastefully styled with a very comfortable queen sized bed, reading chair, full electricity and wifi. A single cot can be set up for additional guests. The lanai has a picnic table overlooking the fields and Olamana mountain peaks. There is a single burner campstove with hot water kettle so that you can brew morning coffee and tea, and a mini fridge for cold goods and perishables. The private bathroom is just behind the tent and has a sink, hot shower, and flush toilet.

Tucked away on our family farm, this tent is situated under the covers of our old barn looking down into a banana patch and freshwater stream. This tent and area was recently renovated, with a larger tent, very comfortable queen sized bed, and a chair that folds out into a single futon. Alongside the tent is a private seating area with picnic table, propane cooktop, cooler, sink, and basic cookware and utensils. The barn bathroom with hot shower and flush toilet is just a stones throw away. Wifi signal is strong and the tent has electricity. This tent and lounge area is shielded by a cedar privacy fence, but the bathroom is shared with two farmhands. The campsites feature jaw-dropping views of the mountains & foliage on this gorgeous farm, with an abundance of wildlife, including birds, chickens, and pigs. Waking up to astonishing sunrises and the music of so many birds felt otherworldly! The air smelled fresh and clean, a truly incredible place to be a part of nature. The bathroom and shower are so cute and open to air, very clean & private, with plenty of hot water. The most adorable geckos occasionally take refuge here, and we saw a really cool snail too. They also provide a nice dishwashing sink, and a comfy covered patio, with tables and electrical outlets that we used for charging phones. The hosts are fantastically kind, responsive, and accommodating. This stay was a huge part of what made our trip so wonderful, 100% will stay here on our next trip back!!!

The view is breathhtaking both from the site and the shower. The farm is beautiful, loved the hassle free check-in, but definitely make your first visit in the daylight, stayed our first night on the island there and loved it so much we came back for the last. The view from the site is the wallpaper on my phone now!

I recommend this site. Everything is clean and well maintained, and the photos are accurate. Hot water, restroom, and the site area are all in good condition. The only issue is that the location on the listing is incorrect, but the host provided a full guide with directions.

Everything about this stay was a vibe. It was very grounding and a way to connect with mother nature at its finest. The farm was beautiful and a absolute pleasure to wake up to every morning. The views are astounding and the campsite was extremely accommodating (bathroom, shower, warm water, shelter from rain). The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. Be prepared to be woken up by roosters and chickens in the morning. It was pleasant to connect with nature.

Had an amazing stay, the views were incredible and had more amenities than expected right on site. Had some initial power issues with inverter glitch but was immediately fixed by Dave and called me to explain everything which didn’t affect power bank in tent. Being a tent outside expect some bugs, only the mosquitoes were a bit of an annoyance but this is a tropical island so it’s all expected. Bed was very comfortable but be aware that in pictures it shows a cot for third person but it is actually a futon chair that lays flat to be bed. Fan was a lifesaver for the warm humid late evenings. Enjoyed the outdoor shower. Overall no complaints and definitely saving it for our next visit. Emphasis on the amazing views and the feeling of being tucked away from city life.

This was a wonderful experience overall. It felt very secluded and private. Views around the entire property were beautiful. I thought the outdoor shower was very cool as well as the outdoor eating area. Dave was very communicative the whole time and I felt like the hosts really cared that I enjoyed my stay. I may be going back to Oahu for work soon and I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely view! Has the bathroom basics that you need and super easy to just park and do your thing. Would recommend people to bring their flashlights if you wanna use the toilet at night, don’t be scared of the snails and spiders, is part of the experience:)) Very nice stay!

The space was absolutely gorgeous. To be surrounded by the incredible mountains and greenery was a real treat. The amenities were wonderful and clean. Wish we could have stayed longer to see more of the property.

Definitely recommend this site! It is close to the residents but I don’t think it matters. It was so cute and the land is so beautiful. We were booked with another site and when we arrived felt so unsafe. We wanted to come back here and this was the only option for the night and took it and I’m glad we did. I also did their park and pitch site before this and another night after! Both are so amazing. Felt safe and the host was quick to respond.

10/10 would recommend this site to anyone! The site was beautiful and honestly my favorite part was the shower. So gorgeous. The sites are close to eachother but I don’t think that should matter. I felt very safe here as well and they were quick to respond to me with any questions. Definitely will be back!

Lex and Dave thanks for sharing your view and piece of paradise in God's country! I felt comfortably safe. The space wasnt overbooked, What i mean is the overall site was cozy, and i could barely hear my neighbor rustle in their space, thanks for not pack em in like saradines! You could easily add a dozen more.

We were supposed to stay at this place for 2 nights when the government issued a flood warning. When we asked the host if we could sleep in the car if it was really bad, he didn't even answer. Hipcamp company also tried to contact him but he keep not answering them. We preferred to move to the southern part of the island where it was safe. We believe that the place can be beautiful but ignoring a guest in such a case is unacceptable. I rate the communication as 1 of 5 and I would not make reservation there again. Safety first.

The view!!

My husband and I stayed one night on the beautiful property as we were just arriving in Oahu. The yurt was just what we needed. Clean, very comfortable bed, stunning view from the bed AND from the rest of the property. Communication with the hist was easy and directions were clear. We loved to watch the roaming chickens and waking up to the call of the roosters. You have to expect a short walk to the shared bathroom. Thank you Lex and Dave for sharing your little piece of paradise.

Absolutely stunning campsite! The host welcomed us with some freshly picked pua. The grounds were well kept, and quiet besides the beautiful sound of a variety of birds singing. We wished we had booked for an extra night but we will definitely come back here if the opportunity ever arises again. Mahalo nui again for such a wonderful stay!

I needed a quick and easy spot to sleep in my rented converted minivan for one night and this spot was perfect. Easy self check-in by following the instructions and the bathroom facilities were good. I couldn’t stay long to explore more, but my experience was great.
