I never got bored living here. Every day I got to wake up and go to the beach just minutes away from home, or my cousins and I would have a fishing contest to see who could catch the most fish. We would also go paddling up the river to lay nets down to catch some ono (delicious) crab for dinner. Learn more about this land: Aloha! Looking for a place to lounge and adventure? Mangrove Lounge is the place for you! Mangrove Lounge is located right behind the historical town called Haleiwa Town. Camper Vans or RVs are more than welcome! During the day, enjoy access to a private river where you can take your fishing pole and catch yourself some dinner. After a busy day, enjoy a nice hot bath in a private shower under the stars, along with a flushing toilet and sink. Upon request and additional charge, end your adventure with a cozy night next to the fire pit ($28.00 for fire pit). Mangrove Lounge is 3-5 minutes (driving) away from many beaches and eateries in Haleiwa town where you can also do all your shopping. Less than a mile away, you can find all the delicious food trucks including the famous Giovanni Shrimp Truck. You can find your nearest supermarket just 1.2 miles away called Malama Market, and Longs Drug Store right across the street from Malama Market. Mangrove Lounge provides clean bathroom, a shower with hot water, access to a private river for relaxing or fishing, about 800ft from the nearest bus stop, and secured privacy so you and your friends or family can relax, feel safe, and most importantly...have fun! 😊 Details about each campsite lounge: -Each campsite lounge provides a spacious area for tents or campervans. -Picnic table big enough to fit four people comfortably. -Garbage bins for trash. -Water hose located all around campsite for guests to use. - Access to a private river. -If its not a cloudy night, the stars here at Mangrove Lounge is beautiful. -Bathroom facility is sanitized and cleaned everyday. **What you should bring: 1. Nice big green lawn, very quiet and private, along the river at the ocean, bird song all around. We enjoyed the hot showers and proximity to Haleiwa, many beaches, and a gorgeous hike out to Ka'ena Point. It was also out of the wind!!

We had an amazing time at Mangrove Lounge! Kaui was a great communicator and made us feel so welcome to her property. She had great recommendations of things to do/places to eat in the area as well which we appreciated. Mangrove lounge is the perfect quiet escape with unbeatable access to the North Shore and Hale’iwa. The site and facilities were beautiful and clean. We highly recommend this spot!

Great directions to site, welcomed by host with small gift and lantern on arrival. We were allowed to use the gazebo on our first night which was a nice touch as we hadn’t booked it. The location was excellent just outside of town. The shower and toilet facilities were clean and had hot water. We would use this site again.

Our host Kaui was very sweet informative and helpful with a welcome gift and many great spots to check out. Our site had a great view of the water and we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. The bathroom and shower are were very clean and nice.

Our stay was amazing here! Kaui was more than accommodating! We were about to fly from NY when we got a message that our van that we were renting, not only to sleep in but for transportation as well, had broke down. Kaui within hours had a tent, mattress, cooler and everything else set up for us before we arrived on the island. It was true o’hana vibes! Besides her amazing hospitality the area we were in was private and we felt very safe and bathrooms were clean. The sunrises were some of the best we had on our trip and the sound of the waves while we drifted off to sleep wasn’t bad either. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re thinking of camping on the north shore!

Very nice camping on the north shore. It is well located close to town and nice beaches. We loved hearing the sounds of the waves crashing at night and were graciously provided a tent and sleeping mat as our van rental didn’t end up working out.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a wonderful time at Mangrove Lounge! The atmosphere is unique and relaxing, and the setting by the water made it feel extra special. We rented a gazebo tent and it was amazing—spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our family. Surprisingly, there were little to no mosquitoes (a huge plus for being right on the water!). The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. They kept the restrooms clean daily, offered support promptly via text when needed, and gave us complete privacy the rest of the time. We were a big crew and even had extra guests visit one day, and they were still so kind and accommodating. Even when the weather wasn’t ideal, the trees provided great coverage from the rain and kept us comfortable and dry. The location itself is perfect—there are spots to fish and paddleboard right on-site, and it’s only a short drive to all of the best North Shore beaches. Sarah, our host, went above and beyond by texting with me for weeks before our trip to make sure this was the right booking for our family. She shared details about the location and plenty of ideas of things to do in the area, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated their hospitality and the care they put into making our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend Mangrove Lounge for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway, we’ll definitely be back!

Best way to experience the island

Second time staying at this property and it was even more incredible than the first time. Ended up being there during the tsunami and the hosts were beyond accommodating, despite the scary circumstances for the whole island. Our tent didn’t survive, but our host was so diligent in making sure we had a new tent ready the next day. The whole family and surrounding community are such kind, welcoming people. A very beautiful and unique location you won’t find anywhere else on the island. Truly the best way to experience Oahu, right near historic downtown Haleiwa and all the other best parts of the North Shore! You don’t want to miss this unique way to experience the island!

It was a great experience with the family. The hot water showers and toilet was definitely a plus. Everyone was sweet and loved the table and platform that came with our site. So close to town and polo beach. We will definitely be coming back. Also we were able to drive the camper right up. Very well maintained and clean

Camp ground was well located, 5min drive from Haleiwa beach and town. Very simple offerings with 1 sink, 1 shower & 1 toilet for full camp ground. No drinking water. Provided a tarp and stakes which was great Very kind host provided us with local tips and fresh mango from the garden! Make sure you are a deep sleeper or have earplugs as many dogs and chicken make noise all night and early morning. Definitely recommend swimming at Haleiwa beach and Puaena Park nearby, full of turtles!!

We loved staying here. Our 4 year old enjoyed playing in the creek, and the shower was a nice bonus. We rented the tent and mattresses and everything was set up perfectly when we got there.

What a great host. In an environment that’s not camper friendly (Oahu), this place is a gem of a spot. Thank you for a good time! Oahu camper vanners beware. This isn’t a friendly island to camper vans so stay here!

My family loved this spot! The hosts were super sweet. The location was fantastic and easy to get to. We opted for the covered picnic table and it was amazing! The host gave us recommendations of her favorite places and they were spot on. Overall, it was an absolutely wonderful time and we hope to return one day.
