Outsiders do not often get the opportunity to stay back here, but we welcome respectful travelers looking for an authentic experience who can appreciate this privilege. The land is a tableau of soft greens and gentle light, inviting you to reconnect with nature and improve your mental, physical, and cognitive well-being. Feel the invigoration and deep peace—the mana, the life force and energy believed to exist in all living things. It is in the forest, the soil, and the rain, all yours to enjoy in peaceful solitude, aside from the owners, who live at the far end of the property. There are several short hiking trails, as well as a valley hike leading to a private waterfall. The tent is furnished with a Civil War-era full-size bed formerly owned by the Brodhead family, whose ancestors fought in the American Revolutionary War. There is also a private shower, restroom, and BBQ grill. Umbrellas and rain jackets are provided for the frequent, and sometimes heavy, rainfall that keeps the area so green and lush. The property is forested with kukui, koa, guava, eucalyptus deglupta, eucalyptus robusta, cinnamon, banana, mountain apple, and avocado trees, along with red, white, and yellow flowering ginger and a variety of heliconias. The mission of the owners, Rick Ralston and Sue Jansen, is to restore their 14 acres to a more pristine condition by removing invasive trees and plants and reforesting the land with native Hawaiian species, complemented by carefully selected flowering plants and fruit trees to create a thriving tropical garden paradise.

Truly a one of a kind experience. The host Rick was an amazing person who would go above and beyond so you feel comfortable and answered any questions we had even before the trip even started. The view is breathtaking and the land is so well cared for! If you want a break from the hustle and bustle of life and step into your own slice of paradise you need to stay here! We've camped in A LOT of different places, and this place ranks in the top 3. Not an exaggeration we just kept looking around in awe and felt so lucky that this gorgeous place was where we got to spend the night. The bathrooms were SO NICE and the views could not have been better. We're from Utah and are already talking about coming back to camp here. Lex was very helpful and responded very quickly. Could not recommend this place enough.

Host was so kind, very responsive, and even upgraded us to the glamp tent one night since we were arriving late during bad weather. Hammock camping is very doable - lots of big palms to pitch under. Bathroom/shower is clean and just as pictured. Site is quiet and secluded but we felt totally safe. Bring bug spray!
