The Oasis

It was very private! In fact, we were the only guests at the campground. The host is super kind and accommodating! Perfect for a couple traveling in a van who wants privacy. The shower was very hot and cute. It’s a huge open grassy field and we could park wherever we wanted. The property is secure and closed off with a locked gate.

We didn’t find the campground, asked a lot people, nobody know the site. Really bad description and no signs. Could reach the host by phone.. After 2 hours of searching we went away. Hope we will get our money back.

The place was neat and private, just a short drive away from Hale'iwa which is worth a visit. Only thing I missed was running water :') Also a heads-up - the place is next to a weed farm, but it did not have a negative impact on our stay.

nature camping in secluded area

This place is exactly as describes - private field, with only 3 camp spots (thus lots of privacy and quite and feels secure). Its located close to North Shore surf places - and the location is the strongest point. The bonus is the wooden deck for camp. The campsite is located close to farms and as many mentioned in area with little light pollution - thus spectacular starry sky view at night. Basic shower, no electricity.

It is not as remote as we thought it was. There are other places nearby for similar prices with much nicer amenities. They are working to make it nicer but for now I would recommend other sites. The shower door didn’t latch properly so I had to hold it closed while showering

private, tranquil, peaceful land with fruit trees & lots of sunshine. open space fun for pup. cozy, safe tiny house with screened lanai had everything we needed. grateful to be with nature here, breathe fresh air, relax with mountain views + sky full of stars 🙏🏽

I love this location for star gazing. Port-a potty is clean. My dogs like to explore the grounds too. Adam is very responsive and pleasant to communicate.

Overall this property meets your needs. It was a quiet safe space to set up camp. Owner was quick to respond to questions. The “playground” is a bit of a stretch with a just broken basketball net we pulled out of the weeds. But we had fun and it’s a great location.

I am not much of a stargazer, but boy, the stars looked so close, bright, and clear—it was awesome! The host, Adam, gave very clear directions to the camp location, and I had no problem finding it. The camp is close to the main road and has a gate with a lock, so I felt safe (my dogs helped, too). The campsite and porta-potty were clean. The big field was great for my dogs. Everything was quiet after 8 p.m. Adam looks to be improving the site, and I'd like to try the spot with a tiny home next time. I recommend this campsite if you want to see an amazing starscape and like a simple, minimalist campsite.

The host responded quickly wich was nice. It was way to pricy for what it is worth. There was no water going in the sink and the shower was not working. The portable toilet was clean.

Very bare bones as discribed in the listing. Feel it is priced a bit high for what it is. Shower pressure was sometimes strong sometimes not. Porta potty was clean.

It’s further away from all the spots but a short drive. The Bus doesn’t go there so you have to be renting a car unless you want to Uber to it. Awesome secluded spot with a good basic set up.

Place to pitch a tent, kind of

Since public campsites were closed, it provided a place to pitch a tent, kind of. The platform is nice, except it isn't quite large enough for a tent. Our backpacking tent hung over on each end. The ground is uneven, so you couldn't pitch a tent on the ground. The bathroom was clean, but we couldn't get any running water for the shower or sink. Also, it is next to some green houses with generators running all night. Luckily more of a low hum, background noise. You feel kind of like you are camping in their storage yard with some random structures and buildings on flatbeds.

Save your money and don’t stay here. The site felt like a junk yard with old trailers around the site and the place wasn’t well maintained. Looked like they were doing some work though so hopefully it improves.

It was in the middle of nowhere. There was nobody there to receive us as told in the booking description. No other guests at all. The the access road was very bad. There was no water when we arrived. Next day when finally got water no pressure to take a shower. The shower space was with with too many tall herbs to be able to actually shower. I don’t recommend this place. Don’t worth the price. Not even for free I would return there.

Oasis Hale

The stars we beautiful from the site. We felt safe the entire time. It was great not waking up to roosters at 4am like our other sites. I slept so good with the white noise from the building behind the site.
