Absolutely blew us away. We could see the allure from the photos and posting, upon arriving it was absolutely perfect. She provided a lot of amenities for anyone that would be there, the bathroom was excellent, and the fire pit provided made the nights even better. We will be back without question and cannot wait!

We’ve stayed at many camps and Mae’s is easily the most beautiful, welcoming and well maintained camp I’ve possibly ever stayed at. She has thought of everything, from solar lights on the shelters to tankless water heaters in the clean, inviting showers - chairs, tables, firepit, grill, and trash can at each site, coffee station on her open patio, the best four-legged greeter I e ever encountered. As a campground host myself, I’m confident in saying Mae’s Moon Garden camp is the most spectacular place I’ve ever camped.
If you’re looking for camping on the island, Moon Farm Garden is a must stay, even with a glamping cabin to open shortly.
The friendly, well kept, comfortable environment is ideal for families, couples, singletons or just a pal’s getaway.
Mae has thought of everything and works hard to ensure her guests are comfortable, safe and happy.
Now I host an Airbnb but this is where I’ll send anyone who asks including my own family.
If you want an amazing camping experience in Hawaii, Mae’s place at Moon Garden Farm raises the bar for all other campgrounds. This place is the best and meets every need imaginable.

Just had an incredible getaway at Mae's property, and I can't say enough about her attentiveness! It was wonderful to chat with her and hear about her passion for creating a welcoming space. She should truly be proud of the amazing amenities she's provided for her guests! This is an awesome spot! I think this is exactly what a hip camp should be: feels remote, special, private, and very comfortable. Mae has you covered in so many ways. We arrived at the end of a light rain shower, and were so happy to find a covered set of table and chairs under her dome that were bone dry! The place is right off 11, which gets you to Hilo or the National Park. A nice hot outdoor shower with a view of the ocean! Can't get much better than that to start your day.

Mae is the most wonderful host! She is kind, helpful, and very responsive. Her property is beautiful and perfectly situated between the national Park and the amenities of Pahoa and Hilo. Hike all day or hop into town for groceries and the zoo. The kids loved playing volleyball, disk golf, and catching little fish in her pond. 100% would stay with her again!

Me and my sister decided to camp around the Big Island for a week instead of a hotel. We were very excited to arrive at Mae’s campsite and she was an amazing host. Her place was very easy to find with her instructions and she greeted us upon arrival. She showed us around the place and provided a book of recommendations for local places. She also offered us fruit off of her farm and there were a few fun games there. The campsite is beautiful and she had a very nice dog that was fun to hang out with. Overall 10/10.

Mae is an amazing and super friendly host. We had coffee every morning and bonded over our K-drama obsession. Really appreciated her helping me pull my car out of a low spot. The place is beautiful and peaceful. Definitely recommended.

The sites are thoughtfully equipped with hot showers, flush toilets, a sink, a sun/rain dome, a propane stove, and a campfire—everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had planned to explore so much of the Big Island, but the campsite was so peaceful and nourishing that I often just wanted to stay there all day and do nothing. Mae is a wonderful host and such an interesting person to chat with. She welcomed us for morning tea and coffee and even shared delicious fruits from her farm. I would absolutely stay here again on my next visit to the Big Island. Highly recommended.

This camp was super fantastic. Our Host Mae was very caring for us (Malama ) and came to welcome us warmly when we arrive. The site was extraordinary with more than 2 acres just for us with a little lake , a place to play volleyball , a place to play balloon on a pole , and even a disc golf course that we could use with the disks furnished by the host!!!
..the restroom where the cleanest that I ever seen with , not one , but two showers and two restrooms And the showers were present with hot water.
Everything was so clean. I could not believe it !!
And the land: I thought for a moment that I was camping on a par 3 of Pebble Beach California !!!
in supplement we had the right to pick up fruits from trees: Lemons, limes, oranges, finger, lemons, tangerines, and others !!
We even had a very nice dog name Knob! That came and welcome us, and was really great with us!!
In all, this was the best IPC experience that we ever had up to now!

Mae was such a kind and generous host! Bathroom and shower were well kept, water temp was warm initially, but Mae was super attentive to my needs and was nice enough to make the water hotter for me! The property was stunning and easy to find. The site was equipped with a pop up tent with a table to help provide shelter from the rain should you have to pack in or out when it's raining. The bathroom had a really cool map of the island with points of interest in addition to info about where the nearest pharmacy, gas station and other useful info was. Mae's house and property in general were such a peaceful place to decompress and enjoy the beauty of the big island when I wasn't out exploring. Great peaceful site to come back to and would definitely stay again!

My fiancé and I were very fortunate to instant book with Mae at her Moon Garden Farm midday. She's not only kind, but generous with sharing some of her tangerines with us! Her place was clean, quiet, and the facilities (toilet & shower) were very nice with evening ambient lights for late night use. We had some even rain showers, but the little pavilion/tent kept us dry as we cooked our evening dinner. I highly recommend staying at Mae's farm!

The Mae Campground was absolutely perfect! The grass was beautiful and well kept, the facilities were clean, and the pond was stunning. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Everything was just perfect

The kids loved fishing and we all appreciate the time Mae spent with us showing us how. Making Fire was so easy- really appreciate the option to buy wood and the little charcoal grill (provided). Mahalo Mae, we’ll be back with friends before too long!

We loved camping at Mea s land. She is super friendly and shows the best hospitality you could thing of. There land is beautiful, very natural grass, well maintained, there are several game options like volleyball, tetherball, Frisbee golf,... And you can also feed farm animals or fish. Mea provides towels and plenty of basic stuff so useful for camping. It is an absolutely safe and secure area. We will certainly come back and I highly recommend you get a booking while the place is available.

We loved camping at Mae's Moon Garden! The location was clean with full bathroom facilities right next to the campground area. There was a nice tent area to hang out in. My girls had the best time, roasting marshmallows by the fire pit and using the camp gas grill to make dinner and breakfast the next morning. Most importantly, we felt safe! With just us females camping out, we felt so safe and secure to have fun and be ourselves. Thank you Mae! 10/10 would recommend and stay again!
