Quiet spot and a view of Mesa Verde
The site is an open field and very quiet. Unfortunately, the field site grass was not cut however we did have a blue tarp to through in the ground so we could sit outside. The area was very peaceful. Leaving was another area of concern. We were told to follow the path out however again the “path” wasn’t cut or obvious and there was no culvert between the road and path off the site resulting in driving across a pretty good size dip to get off the land site. I have a 3” lift on my Airstream so cleared the dip without any damage.
Overall with a little upkeep and work the site would be a place worth returning to, but as is we will not return.

Beautiful views and great to be able to have dogs off leash. Fenced on 3 sides. Very quiet. Owner greeted us and showed us where the ground was level for our 24ft RV. Asked if we needed anything. We didn’t. Could use some mowing around the fire pit and parking spot. It would be nice to have cleared, level area marked for parking an RV or pitching a tent

Jack’s property was beautiful! Jack was very nice and gave us wood and water. The Mesa Verde was beautiful and very close!

Jack's land is better than advertised - peaceful and with an amazing view. Unless the sounds of sprinklers in the neighboring field and the occasional vocalization of the alpaca in the next field over bother you, you will love this little slice of paradise. Excellent place also for dogs to roam, and Jack also has a dog-sitting side business in case you want a safe place to leave your pooch for the day. Jack was very friendly and attentive without being in-your-face. Great HipCamp, highly recommend!

Jack took great care of us, we were able to book his spot same-day! And if it weren’t for the wind we would have been able to appreciate it more. We got a great sunset regardless! 10/10

Jacek was the most incredible host I’ve ever had! I felt incredibly safe as a solo female traveler and the spot was beautiful. He’s a very generous and nice guy full of interesting stories- I’d stay here again in a heartbeat, thanks Jacek!

Jacek was an AMAZING host and his property was BEAUTIFUL! We had a great stay here and he recommended some great spots to visit. The animals on the neighboring properties were an appreciated added bonus and the distance to Mesa Verde and neighboring towns was perfect. We enjoyed the sunset every night while having a campfire looking at the mountains, can't ask for anything better.
It was such a great stay, I cannot recommend Jacek and his spot enough!

The site was very convenient, located just off 491 north of Cortez, far enough from the highway to avoid the traffic noise. The location is on a large former agricultural field, and has a nice fire ring with wood provided by the host. The host, Jack, was there to greet me upon arrival and asked about and provided ideas about what I hope to do/see during my stay. He loaned me a map of the area to help locating hiking options.
