If this is your first time in historic Paradox Valley well then you are in for a pleasant surprise as this area is little known and has just a hint of what has been called the wild west still exists in this remote area of far western Colorado. Situated along the old Paradox cattle trail, 25 miles from the nearest town with amenities. We are located . approximately halfway between the bustling tourist destinations of Telluride Colorado 70 miles to the East and 60 miles to the West is the recreational mecca of Moab Utah.our camp is veteran owned. Returning to civilian life following 20 years of service was and still is a challenge, TBI, PTSD, and other injuries received during combat operations takes there toll. So for now this is my purpose. Come and relax on my little sanctuary . ive been busy getting more sites completed, but while constructing these sites i have personally spent quite a few hours contemplating and meditating, depending on your abilities i have campsites from park at site to walk in for those who want more privacy. Super pet freindly. 2 blond great pyranese are my companions and are sweethearts, brothers rugar and titus will welcome you at the gateThey get along with everyone and everything. I have some really peaceful and fun trails weaved around the multitude of rocks. Some 4 wheeler trails. Backed by thousands of acres of OUR blm lands. The "Shamans Wall" Petroglyphs just a few miles East of our camp is a great place to reset, reflect, and in my opinion, help put things in perspective. The confluence river road runs from Bedrock up to Uravan Colorado and the reminants of an old water flume can be seen running down the giant canyon. Great rafting canyon with a boatramp and day camping area along the Delores river also in Bedrock. Tons of cool stuff to see and do within a 10 mile radius. Can facilitate watercraft, bicycle, or hiking transportation. For our sportsman guests, we can provide assistance on the extraction of elk, mule deer , bear, lions, bocats and coyote. I belive there is a taxidermy shop locally. Soon we hope to finish our wheelchair freindly site. For now I am providing free firewood at each site. Very interested in feedback and property ideas. Partners with a great mechanic in gateway Colorado who can provide mobile mechanic service or in shop work tratransportation to and from our camp. The senery and terrain features vary dramatically every 200 feet up or down so lots of beautiful cactus blooms in the spring. The smell of fresh sage wakes you up on crisp summer mornings.
