Pikes Peak Grand View #2
Loved the view! The site was big. There was a little noise from the highway but it died done in the evening & was not noticeable overnight.

Nice and private basic spot in Aspen Grove campsite. Close to the town of Woodland Park and Pikes Peak. Convenient location. Friendly host.

Lower Shady Lane
Refund request
We could not pull our trailer down the path to the campsite due to low hanging branches. Low meaning I could reach the branches walking down the path. Maybe this could be used for a tent site, but not for any trailer camping. Tried to contact the host with no success 4 times. Requesting a refund. We’ll see!

Shady Pine Drive #6
We really enjoyed our stay here. Had full hookups., fire pit, firewood, shade. The hostess was very accommodating. It was quiet even though there were other campers on the property. Our concern was the trash area should have been made more private (out of sight), and we would get the occasional whiff of sewer gas.

Red Cottage Drive
Beautiful Spot,Misleading Site Info
The land was lovely and has great views of Pike's Peak. However, the site information was misleading and led to overall dissatisfaction with our stay. 1) Site was said to be tucked next to the Red Cottage. It was next to the Red Cottage, but very out in the open and so close to another site, we had to keep our shades drawn the entire stay. 2) Listing said we'd have potable water hookup/access and electricity and that a dump site was nearby. We did have electricity and water, but we were told by the host, upon arrival, that the water wasn't potable. Also, about 15 minutes after our arrival we were told we'd need to use our own fresh water tank and no running water ever came to our RV from the hook up. In addition, there want an accessible dump site, but host said they could let us dump for $20. We never received more information on where/how to dump, if needed. 3) Site is said to have some grading and leveling required. The site was VERY unlevel. We had to reposition the RV three times to get acceptable leveling. 4) We were told there was an onsite toilet. We asked the host 3 times over 2 days via the app where it was and never got a response. 5) Host was very unresponsive in the app and via text. In the end, we left a day early. We would have liked to have a more accurate understanding of the site and amenities offered, so we could have prepared better or selected a different Hipcamp to meet our needs.

Aspen Grove Valley
Perfect spot for a 1 night party
I booked this site for a one night celebratory camping trip with 12 people, and it was a fantastic time. Brooke, the host, was responsive, polite, and accommodating. The Aspen Grove camp site had plenty of room for 2 very large tents and a smaller tent, a couple vehicles, food table, fire pit (provided by host), chairs, with plenty or foom for standing and talking. The site itself was well taken care of, clean, and beautiful, with plenty of branches/logs around to get a good fire going. While the Aspen Grove campsite did not have many additional accommodations (toilet/water/electric), as the site overview stated, the dumpster provided on the property was very nice to prevent having to pack out garbage/waste. I also liked that it was relatively close to Colorado Springs compared to other large group campsites on the app. Additionally it was easy to get to, and accessible to various vehicles with varying clearances, during good conditions. The site itself may be a little difficult for lower vehicles or non 4WD if there is snow or mud present. There is a road/driveway right by the main clearing for the site, so there were some visible vehicles/headlights throughout the stay, but nothing excessive, and still probably less than some public camp grounds. I would definitely recommend this host/site for anyone looking for a larger group get together, and I will try to reserve again if I ever need a big group camp area! Thank you Brooke for offering this opportunity!!
