My friends and I had a lovely weekend camping on the beach. Brenda was available for any questions and had clean and easily accessible facilities. She even had firewood for sale! Highly recommended a stay here, it was magical!

The site was not at all what it was originally listed for. The host changed the listing the day of arrival to include wanting payed an additional $20/night for the use of the electrical outlet at the site to charge a cell phone. Her tone and demeanor were short and abrasive. The “private beach” was rented out to nearly 20 tents to the point that you couldn’t even walk down to the beach to access it without tripping on someone’s tent stakes. Please look this place up on yelp! You will see there are as many 1 star reviews than anything else and it all has to do with the host! Save your mind and allow yourself to actually take a vacation by going absolutely anywhere else! There were times where she even came into our campsite to harass us and listen to our conversations. It was extremely creepy. On a positive note, the view was beautiful from bluff 8. Just don’t plan to have any room to walk around your site. There is literally just enough room to pitch a tent and stand by the cliff. This place is packed in like sardines. Also, the showers are coin operated and do cost money which is also not listed. If I had any extra money, I would’ve eaten it but we had no choice and I didn’t want to let my kids down. Also, this place is NOT kids friendly at all! There are many sheer drop offs of the cliff that pose extreme dangers!

Campsite was great! What an incredible view of the Ocean. We were at campsite 4 on the bluff. Site included a picnic table, a fire pit and space for your vehicle and tent. Bathrooms are very clean with flush toilets and a shower that takes quarters. $2.50 gets you 5 minutes. Brenda has Quarters. The shower was great with hot water. The beach access at the cove at the bottom of the hill is nice. Dog friendly too. There is a trail at the end of the property that leads to a great trail
in front of the Timber Cove Resort. The campsite is also a quick drive to Stillwater Cove as well as Fort Ross State Park. Bundles of firewood are available for $12. The camp host Brenda was awesome, very welcoming and friendly. She offered some great suggestions on things to check out in the area. We will definitely be booking another stay at Timber Cove Campground.

Beautiful site right on the bluff! Loved our stay here. Always a plus to have flush toilets and sink! Great for fisherman. A little car traffic in the morning next to our tents as fisherman were loading/unloading their kayaks. Our dogs loved running on the beach, and we loved hanging in the sun

We camped at Brenda’s timber cove campground at the waterfall site. It is beautiful and easy enough access to a nice hike with ocean views. Had a wonderful time and look forward to staying again!

Great mostly-level site that backs right up to the cliffs into the ocean. Incredible views, perfect for opening your back doors and laying in bed. Picnic table and fire pit at the site. Sites are close together but the vibe of the place is inclusive and positive. The host is fantastic. She has WiFi, firewood, and shore electricity for purchase with cash or Venmo. She also gave us a great dog-friendly hiking recommendation at Stillwater Cove just a mile up the 1. The beach is a cool place to watch the tide come in.

Overall had a good time, we always make our own fun. Most folks staying in campground were fishing and it was interesting to watch their operation. Lots of birds to watch too.
Host was friendly and helpful.
Description should, however, disclose that Grassy Knoll is immediately adjacent to State Highway 1. Its lanes are very narrow, speeding/racing is common and noise (mostly daytime) is very noticable. So, while the view of the Cove to the west is as advertised, the setting is not consistent or what we expected. If I'd had young children with, would not have felt safe enough for them.

First time at this location. We had a wonderful time for the weekend. We enjoyed watching all the local fisherman throughout the day bringing in their catch. Would recommend!

We had such a wonderful time at Bluff 10 at Timber Cove this weekend! We wanted to watch the birds, the seals, and the waves and read our books while we celebrated Mom's 80th birthday, and this was the perfect spot. People were so friendly and laid back, and we got to see a lot of fisherpeople launching their kayaks from the private beach.
Brenda was so helpful and engaged and she took very good care of us. She even brought us super glue AND fresh herbs from her garden to cook with! You can tell she cares very deeply for her guests.
There are flush toilets and potable water (luxury), and firewood and hot showers for purchase. The wall down to the private beach is a little steep but easy.
I would definitely recommend this campground to people who want to make a fire on the cliff overlooking the Pacific, and who love exchanging a pleasant "Good morning!" with neighbors :] My dog had an absolute blast as well. I'm looking forward to returning!

Campsite was excellent. Great view of ocean. Quirky location but view trumps it. Hearing ocean waves all night. Unfortunately the owner also allows fisherman on kayaks to launch right next to site. This happens at 5am and continues for the morning. Clunking boats and equipment, trucks moving, talking, shouting, laughing...etc...all early in the morning right next to where we were sleeping. Not recommended if you want to sleep past 5am. Owner was out there with them at times.

Seaside South Corner Beach
The property is lovely and our camping neighbors were great. Brenda is super responsive and helpful. She has firewood for sale and quarters for the showers for you. We loved waking up on the the beach. Be prepared for a strong afternoon wind and early kayakers going out to fish at this spot!

Brenda was a great host. However the site I booked, Grassy Knoll was too close to the road. She offered me a more secluded spot which was amazing. Truly one of the most beautiful camping spots I’ve been on. The only thing I wished was that more weeding was done on the campsites and that the hot showers were not coin operated.

The camping spot was beautiful, and we really enjoyed looking out at the ocean and watching the seals on the rocks. Even though there were quite a few campers on the property, it was quiet. We slept well, and the sound of the ocean is what you hear. We loved walking down to the beach. This was the most beautiful spot we have ever camped. Brenda was helpful with her suggestions for hiking.

Brenda is so gracious to share her unbelievable unique cliff side property overlooking the ocean and beach front. Sites are smaller but it’s worth a stay if your looking for views of the seals, beach walking and exploring.

We had such a great time! The view from Bluff 10 was spectacular! Easy walk to the beach and close to a wonderful winery called Fort Ross if you don’t want to rough it out all the time 🙂

The pros: Exceptional views, good beach access, clean bathrooms, respectful guests (mostly kayak fishers), and the host was courteous.
The cons: the sites were very small (our 4person tent maxed out the space), the fire pits didn’t allow for a cozy campfire experience (mostly due to size).
In general I’d recommend this place it you’re either into fishing via kayak or want to use it as a base for trips to the general area.

We were really let down by our stay here. From the start, the host Brenda came off as passive-aggressive and rude during the few interactions we had. On top of that, the site we booked wasn’t even the one we were given upon arrival, which was incredibly frustrating.
The campsites are packed very close together definitely not ideal if you’re looking for privacy or space. I strongly recommend the host add more accurate photos of the actual sites and detailed information about what to expect.
There were several surprise fees we didn’t find out about until we got there. You have to pay to use the showers, which are timed by the minute. There’s beach access, but you have to pay to walk down to it. You also have to pay separately for electricity, which is usually included in the booking price at most campgrounds.
If these extra charges had been listed upfront, we would’ve gone with a different campsite. Transparency is everything, and unfortunately, this place lacked that. The only redeeming quality was the beautiful views, but even that isn’t enough for us to recommend this spot to friends or family.

Brenda is such a kind host! The cove is BREATHING. We seriously had the most magical camping moments of our lives.
If you are staying on the beach, we highly recommend you have 4wd. If you don't, probably best to stay at one of the sites up top.

The campground is amazing! It has gorgeous views and the beach is very beautiful. It’s located close to a grocery store, cafe and Russian river beaches.
The campground has flush toilet restrooms and hot water showers (you’ll need quarters to use it, you can purchase/change them in the office). The restrooms and showers are very clean and neat. There was also a porta potty on the beach. It has plenty of fire rings. And the spots on higher ground have picnic tables.
The host, Brenda, is very friendly and caring. We booked a spot on the beach which was perfect, although our tent was too large (10 person tent) and didn’t hold well against the strong wind. Brenda offered us a spot on the higher ground and help with moving our tent. Not only she helped us to move our tent but also to set it up. It was so kind of her to help us and give us advice for the future camping trips. It’s difficult to express how grateful we are for Brenda’s help and support!
I’m definitely planning on camping at this campground again!

The campground was amazing! It offered a breathtaking view of the beach and coast, making any site you chose a must-visit. Each site had running water, and the bathroom was conveniently located and very clean. The added bonus of an operated shower was a huge plus. There was also a small, private beach right down the walkway. Overall, it was a fantastic location and experience. I’ll definitely be booking again!

It was my boyfriend and I's first time exploring the Sonoma coast and Brenda's campsite made it so worth it! The views of the ocean right by our tent was stunning. We were the only campers here, so we pretty much had the space to ourselves. I could see the sites being close to one another if there were other people, but no matter which site you're at, you have a beautiful view of the water.
What made this campsite even more worth it, was the little beach you could walk down to! We were able to fish and hang out. There's even a station to wash/cut your catches. We will definitely keep Brenda's place bookmarked. Definitely worth booking!

Spot is perfectly hidden away right next to waterfall and easy access down to what I would describe as a private beach. Only things to consider is the space is small and depending on the size of your vehicle you may or may not be able to fit a tent along with any other items such as a table. I have a 4Runner and opted to just sleep in my car as I only had a 6 person tent. Another thing was apparently the waterfall is part of a trail? So often people were walking up and down waterfall which is right behind campsite and so you need to be comfortable with others in that area.
There is a walk up a steep incline to flushing toilets but a clean porta potty is available on beach. Overall if you want a quiet spot right on the beach for a good price this is a good bet.
