The host did not respond to any messages or calls. We were not able to find the site due to poor directions and zero help from the host. We ended up having to turn around and drive two hours back home. Do not book this site.

Beautiful secluded spot. No one bothering us, access to bathrooms, fire pit, & canoe on the pond! We fished but no catches. Directions lead you to the wrong spot on private property so it could be a bit more clear that you’re just supposed to drive through the gate & go through the grass. Other than that, great trip. We’ll be back!

Pros- the scenery is beautiful, the host was friendly, our kids had a great time despite cons.
Cons- Despite having booked and paid for our trip, the Host did not appear to know we were coming. The “Bathhouse” did not have hot water. Strangers were “moving in” to the facilities while we were utilizing the property (awkward). These strangers then partitioned the facilities so that we could no longer access the men’s restrooms or advertised laundry. There was no picnic table and the host never delivered promised fire wood.
The listing did not reflect reality. Would not recommend.

This was our first experience with HipCamp and it far exceeded our expectations! Finding the location is a bit tricky at the end but Kord or Greg are very prompt to respond if you reach out for directions. Upon arrival we were greeted and given free range on an entire hillside by the lake; stunning scenery as far as the eye can see; and firewood delivered right to our chosen tent site. Our 2 pups had a blast running free and splashing in the water. We enjoyed use of the canoe and caught over half a dozen fish in about an hour. No doubt we will be back sooner rather than later!
