Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid. This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate). We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s. We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need. You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back. Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk. There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite. We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on. We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral. You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). We make a lot of our infrastructure from windfallen and site development trees that are cut and shaped on our own electric sawmill. Much of the rest of the renovations are done using upcycled and donated materials. Boat ramp for Boats with electric motors only. Pets welcome with leash rules followed. Picnic table, fire pit and charcoal grill available pull through, campsite with minimal leveling for Rv’s, Property is down a gravel road a little bumpy and a few hills but doesn’t require 4 wheel drive, but helpful (Sometimes the road to paradise is a little bumpy)

For site number 3 (the one my wife and I stayed at) it was an easy back in to get our 45 toy hauler into the site. Sites 1 and 2 may have presented a challenge for our size rig but they are very spacious. All of the sites that is. Entry and exit of the park was easy and straight forward. We loved the close proximity to family in the area especially for our Thanksgiving stay. There was one limb that was touching the back corner of our roof and with a simple call to William, the issue was resolved quickly with a quick cut from his pole saw. We definitely plan to return to Deer Valley RV in the future. Thank you William!

Wonderful place to stay! Hosts are amazing people, and they are very knowledgeable about the area. Very close to Savannah and many other beautiful places. I will definitely be staying here again!!!!

The firewood that was available made my stay, thank you Chad. Cut it SHORTER than diameter of fire rings please. It was so much better than hotel/motel. Coffee was excellent. Outdoor shower was great! hard to figure out how to operate, instructions would have helped.

It was perfect for my traveling needs. I spent majority of my time during the day hiking in GA/TN so it’s perfect to return to in the late afternoon to relax. The Bath House was very clean and the dogs that roam the property are very friendly. The trains were a bit loud and busy during the night, but it is manageable to sleep through if you’re good at tuning it out. Overall, it’s great for a place to set up camp for the night and wake up early to continue a drive or to hit the trails.
