Our motto is "Thanks for keeping it clean," so help us spread the word and keep it true! Look for the gate at 851 Castleberry Bridge Rd (right where the bridge crosses the river) and drive through the gate and George (owner) should be there. He will open the second gate for you where you will be able to drive through and park at your site - weather permitting. To the left of the first gate is the community area with toilet, grills, picnic tables, etc. Remember, your phone might not work near the river. There's so much fun waiting for you to explore! Tubes are available for a $5 charge per day. If you're feeling extra adventurous, there are rope swings that let you swing over the river, and there are super cool places to splash around and swim, part of which, is in the Indian Fish Trap. When your tummy starts rumbling, don't worry. We've got you covered with grills in the community area where you can cook delicious food. So you can have a tasty meal with the sound of the river flowing in the background. Also we are within 5-10 minutes to stores, restaurant , etc. But wait, there's more excitement! If you're looking for an even bigger adventure, this is the perfect spot to begin an awesome kayaking trip if you brought your kayak. Castleberry Bridge is where people from all over the country come to experience going through the Miner's Tunnel. Our expansive 120-acre property provides campers with the freedom to choose their camping spots anywhere on the farm. Farm animals include horses, cattle, hogs, chickens, goats, bees, stocked ponds, gardens and much more. We have strategically placed signs throughout the property to help you identify potential neighbors. If you desire the company of ducks, consider setting up camp near our picturesque duck pond. For those who prefer the rustic crowing of roosters to a phone alarm, we have four chicken coops dispersed across the farm. Our horses freely roam the front pastures. The cows enjoy grazing on lush grass and taking refreshing dips in the ponds. They also relish watching the sunset from the hill's vantage point, as it offers the best view on the farm. We are a working farm with staff tending to various jobs throughout the day. We have a map to show where the camping site sits on the property. We intentionally leave some of our fields uncut. In some fields, the grass can come up above the knees. We leave that to the animals to take care of. All of our staff are super friendly and happy to help guide you to the best camping spot and answer any questions. In searching for your campsite please note that there may be livestock in and around certain areas as we rotate pastures. Potable well water can be located from the blue spigot outside of the staff housing area, in between the orange and green tiny home, and outside the outdoor shower. Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid. Some info about the property: -we DO NOT have water or power hookups -we have gravel roads with a 5 MPH speed limit on the property (if you drive too fast the roads will seem rough) -we are right next to a highway and train tracks so there will be some noise (some days are better than others and we have no way of predicting how many trains will/will not go by) -none of our campsites have picnic tables (please plan accordingly) -most campsites have fire rings built, but if you choose a site without one you need to build your own

Weekend Trip to Lakefront get away

Amazing secluded spot. All hookups available. Great scenery from your temporary home. Has a dock to fish from. This was our first trip with the new travel trailer and were able to bring our two dogs with us for their first camping trip. Towed a 2026 wolf pup 16cm (23feet long) with a 2025 Ford Ranger and still had plenty of room. Mike made sure we knew if we need anything to not hesitate to ask. We didn’t need anything but always nice to have excellent hosts. The campsite was clean.

Weekend Trip to Piney Hills Campground

Awesome site, and the facilities were great.!The host was very kind and helpful. We had a wasps nest above the platform and left a message for the host about the minor issues. She took no time at all and showed up to the site with wasp spray. Also gave us a little more information about the campground while we were waiting for the wasp spray to kick in.Will definitely be back again.

Weekend Trip to West Preserve

Enjoyed the time there and fishing in the creek was great. Will say the picnic tables are not there and grass was a bit tall but for being booked the night before it was not too bad.. the showers do have good hot water and running sink.. however there were quite a few hornets/ wasps nest that made showering a bit nerving wracking, could’ve been a tad bit cleaner however for booking the night before not a big deal.. I had noticed that there was only one fire ring which was not what we had expected we did have a good time and really enjoyed it once we got settled in but I’d recommend bringing a folding table and plenty of bug spray

Gary’s place was exactly what we needed from his beautiful site, his charming personality, and lovely dogs. He was super quick to respond to all my questions (which I had many) and I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to get away and feel like they are in nature but so close to so many fun things to do.

My Bf and I stayed for a week! It was a perfect mix of camping life and indoor living. We would 100% go again and it was a perfect test for future van life! Trails around the camp were a site to see as well!

Weekend Trip to Herzen Platz (a place in the Heart)

Our stay with Gary was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome and at home. Gary is truly one of the kindest, most genuine hosts we’ve ever met. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed while still giving us plenty of privacy to enjoy our getaway. The campsite felt like our own private oasis. The peaceful setting was exactly what we needed to escape and relax. One of our favorite parts was listening to the creek nearby. The sound of the flowing water was so calming and made the whole experience feel even more special. Breakfast was amazing! I had the BLT quiche, and my husband had the camper-style skillet. Both were absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. It was the perfect way to start the day and easily one of the highlights of our stay. Even the outdoor shower exceeded our expectations. The water pressure was fantastic, especially for an outdoor shower, and the temperature was always perfect. It was such a refreshing experience and showed how much thought has gone into making guests comfortable. Every detail reflected the care Gary puts into hosting. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already planning our next visit. We can’t wait to come back in the winter and experience the property in a different season. Thank you, Gary, for your kindness, hospitality, and for creating such a wonderful place. We highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway!

Great campground! Staff is super welcoming and available when needed. Amenities are easily accessible clearly marked, with great maps provided by the site. Hands-down, best showers I've experienced at a campground (especially if you don't mind a tree frog or two joining you😉). Highly recommend!

This is a piece of paradise, with a stream running right by the campsite, all you can hear is the water running by you and setting you up for the ultimate relaxing experience. Gary (the host) has thought of everything you need and has an immediate response if you have any questions or need any help with anything. His two little dogs are great and super welcoming and friendly. The location is super convenient to Helen and surrounding areas and all they have to offer. I highly recommend a visit and stay here if you havent!
