Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid. Lizardsniffer is a working horse farm with a variety of rental cabins and RV slips. We DO allow tent camping. Each RV slip has water, septic, 50 amp service and Wifi. An Amenities Cabin is provided for use by all RV site guests. The cabin includes a full-sized washer/dryer, a full bathroom with bidet, and an oversized jacuzzi tub. Guests must sign-up for a 4-hour timeslot. The cabin is available for use between the hours of 8am-8pm. Many of our RV sites feature private fenced paddocks for people bringing their horses or dogs. Horse visitors require all current paperwork (Coggins, etc.). Dog visitors must be social and friendly and thus are allowed to explore the farm with their owners off-leash if desired. We are a working aquaponics farm, located in Marion Co Georgia. From maps it shows that we are about 13 miles straight line distance from Columbus Georgia. That would be true if you could drive through Fort Moore. You cannot so we are actually about 35 mins or 23 miles from Columbus. The drive is pleasant with very little traffic. Our campsite sits beyond the gate in front of our small farm/general store. There are rustic bathrooms with hot water, free WiFi and plenty to do! We encourage you to hike, bike, and explore. ** We are in rattlesnake and copperhead season. (SEP - OCT) Please be mindful hiking on warms days and evenings towards dusk. ** The store is not open at this time, and the Greenhouse is available by request. Deer, coyotes, wild hogs, and other creatures roam freely. Any pets must stay fully leashed at all times (see below). Our day starts early in the summer as we harvest for market. We make every effort to be very quiet, but the field crops are close to your camp site. We will never run a tractor until after 11am. You may hear the greenhouse fans kick on starting around 9am when the system starts warming up. Pets - Are welcome if contained on a leash at all times. Bathrooms - are located next to the store and a short walk from your tent site. Site - Is on level ground for tents campers RV vans and more. There is a fire pit, picnic table and water spigot. The water is not well water and comes from the county main water line. There is a main highway leading up to our gate so you do not have to off road to get to the property.

We had such an incredible stay at the Tiny Red Cabin! The peace and quiet were exactly what we were looking for, it was the perfect escape from everyday life. We loved cooking out back while taking in the beautiful, open views of the sky, and walking the property trails at sunset was absolutely stunning. Lisa and James were amazing hosts and made us feel extremely welcome from the start. They were always happy to help, and Lisa went above and beyond by offering to set up a wine tasting for us, which was such a thoughtful and special touch. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to come back!

Epic! Best place property we’ve visited. Stayed a week and it seemed like a minute and the week was gone. Michael is the best there is, with some folks you just know. Plenty of dried, cut, stacked, covered wood to burn. All secluded back on your own little peninsula with equipped BBQ and picnic table. And that dude is one cool cat! Met us exactly as we pulled up told us everything we needed to know then disappeared lol it was perfect. We’ll be back. This is the perfect hideaway for a couple! Everything is perfect, fully equipped kitchen, close to various attractions, I surely recommend to everyone. Karen was so kind to us and it an excellent Christmas. We’ve been been to Raccoon’’s Nook, Hedgehog, third time will be Honey Bear. Thank you

1 night at Running Water Creek

It was super easy to book a spot last minute while on the road from Michigan to Florida. We stayed in our Jeep here. They responded quickly to our messages. The only negative for me is that the spots aren’t marked clearly. We came in after dark and weren’t sure where the spots were. The trains were close, but didn’t really phase us. The dog is super friendly. We would stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Bluewater Horse Ranch

When one aspires to find peace, calm, tranquility and beauty, one should include the Bluewater Horse Ranch in his list of candidates. This rural enclave has level, sandy terrain, Oak trees, Pine trees, some Spanish moss and a community of farm animals: horses, dogs, ducks, emu. The separation from city lights enables one to see a massive number of stars that would otherwise be obscured. Thank God for the availability of the Bluewater Horse Ranch!! -MDG

Anna is an exceptional host, and this stay was something truly special. From the moment I arrived, she went above and beyond, even leading me to the perfectly level spot on her ATV, which made setup stress free and welcoming. I had easy access to water and 30-amp power, and everything worked exactly as needed. Anna is incredibly accommodating and clearly cares deeply about the experience she provides. Although I stayed during the winter, the magic of this place was absolutely still present. There’s a calm, grounded feeling here that’s hard to put into words…the kind that makes you slow down and breathe a little deeper. Her dogs are so well behaved, and her sweet old boy completely won me over. He even graciously tolerated my very opinionated (and slightly bossy) chihuahua. He is a true gentle giant. And the horses and ponies… there really aren’t words. Their beauty, presence, and spirit are something you simply have to see in person to understand. It’s clear how much love and care goes into them. Anna has created something truly special here, and it shows in every detail. She’s worked incredibly hard for what she’s built, and it’s an honor to experience a place shared with so much heart. I’m so grateful for this stay and would absolutely return.

Nice clean and level sites. Enjoyed watching the trains from site with our 3 year old grandson. It is very loud during the night but we expected that with the railroad crossing being so close. Would stay again.

I loved the tent of Gary’s land. It was winter, so we could see the mountains, while still feeling secluded. The breakfast was amazing and Gary gave us great ideas of places to visit. His puppies even came to say hi!

Just enough outside city and in the trees to feel remote. Had a safe feel. Easy access to everything needed. Short ride to airport. Some airplane noise but it didn't bother me.
