No matter where you go, though, chances are you can stay connected for social media scrolling or remote work time. Most state park visitor centers offer wifi, including Sweetwater Creek, Vogel Lake, and F.D. Roosevelt state parks. You can also get online at most national parks, so you can keep in touch with family and friends between hikes along the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area or ocean dips at Cumberland Island National Seashore. Running Water Creek is a unique, fully off grid campground just 20 minutes to downtown Chattanooga. We have 80+ campsites spread out over 120 acres. Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid. Some info about the property: -we DO NOT have water or power hookups -we have gravel roads with a 5 MPH speed limit on the property (if you drive too fast the roads will seem rough) -we are right next to a highway and train tracks so there will be some noise (some days are better than others and we have no way of predicting how many trains will/will not go by) -none of our campsites have picnic tables (please plan accordingly) -most campsites have fire rings built, but if you choose a site without one you need to build your own

Come join us at this unforgettable camping spot at Historic Castleberry Bridge where the Gold Rush happened, the Indian fish trap still exist, the birth place of Denver Colorado and the hideout of Jesse James just some of the history that happened at your campsite on the Etowah River. Our motto is "Thanks for keeping it clean," so help us spread the word and keep it true! Look for the gate at Castleberry Bridge Rd (right where the bridge crosses the river) and drive through the gate and left and George (owner) should be there. He will open the second gate for you where you will be able to drive through and park at your site - weather permitting. To the left of the first gate is the community area with toilet, grills, picnic tables, etc. Remember, your phone might not work near the river. If you need help, you might have to go back up to the road to call us. George (the owner) is there most every day and all day. There's so much fun waiting for you to explore! Tubes are available for a $10 charge per day. If you're feeling extra adventurous, there are rope swings that let you swing over the river, and there are super cool places to splash around and swim, part of which, is in the Indian Fish Trap. When your tummy starts rumbling, don't worry. We've got you covered with grills in the community area where you can cook delicious food. So you can have a tasty meal with the sound of the river flowing in the background. Also we are within 5-10 minutes to stores, restaurant , etc. But wait, there's more excitement! If you're looking for an even bigger adventure, this is the perfect spot to begin an awesome kayaking trip if you brought your kayak. Castleberry Bridge is where people from all over the country come to experience going through the Miner's Tunnel. So whether you want to float, swing, swim, or paddle, Castleberry Bridge is the place to be for all kinds of outdoor fun! Camping price is for 2 adults. Kids under 13 camp free. For an additional fee you may add more adults to your group. George can arrange a pick for your kayak trip for $39 if needed.

Heavily wooded area. Some sites are more level than others. There is no water or electric to these sites and the campground bath house is about 200 feet away. All sites have a firepit and a simple log bench. The sites that are not fairly level for tenting have grommets installed on trees to hang hammocks. All five primitive sites are isolated from the glamping tents on the property. There are no vehicles allowed in the camping areas.

We are a working farm with staff tending to various jobs throughout the day. We have a map to show where the camping site sits on the property. We intentionally leave some of our fields uncut. In some fields, the grass can come up above the knees. We leave that to the animals to take care of. All of our staff are super friendly and happy to help guide you to the best camping spot and answer any questions. In searching for your campsite please note that there may be livestock in and around certain areas as we rotate pastures. Potable well water can be located from the blue spigot outside of the staff housing area, in between the orange and green tiny home, and outside the outdoor shower. Quiet, shady and private camp site! It was so peaceful, almost like being alone in the woods! Our site was next to the barn and we worried it would have a lot of foot traffic but we hardly noticed anyone else at all! Kate was incredibly nice and made sure our stay went great. The staff reached out to us multiple times prior to our arrival, so great communication too! Highly recommend staying at Mulberry Gap!

I loved Liberty Stables! Traveling solo, privacy and security is of most importance. Love the goats and mini horses. Being a horse person myself and on a traveling vacation, it was very relaxing to be around the horses. It felt like home.
