To the left of the first gate is the community area with toilet, grills, picnic tables, etc. Remember, your phone might not work near the river. If you're feeling extra adventurous, there are rope swings that let you swing over the river, and there are super cool places to splash around and swim, part of which, is in the Indian Fish Trap. When your tummy starts rumbling, don't worry. We've got you covered with grills in the community area where you can cook delicious food. So you can have a tasty meal with the sound of the river flowing in the background. Also we are within 5-10 minutes to stores, restaurant , etc. But wait, there's more excitement! If you're looking for an even bigger adventure, this is the perfect spot to begin an awesome kayaking trip if you brought your kayak. Castleberry Bridge is where people from all over the country come to experience going through the Miner's Tunnel. All sites have a firepit and a simple log bench. The sites that are not fairly level for tenting have grommets installed on trees to hang hammocks. All five primitive sites are isolated from the glamping tents on the property. There are no vehicles allowed in the camping areas.

A lovely home away from home with everything you could need for a lil rest and relaxation... a/c to beat the heat, patio grill, wrap around mountainscape complete with lightning bug show at dusk, and a sweet pup named Lady Cooper for porch sitting company. The hosts went over and beyond in sharing their property and kindness, including a hand-delivered, freshly picked and baked blackberry cobbler (which I devoured within minutes, thanks again Chris!) Weekend Trip to Piney Hills Campground

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Piney Hills Campground was the perfect place to kick off our road trip! We only stayed one night, but it was exactly what we needed, and I would absolutely stay here again if I'm ever back in the area. The campground is tucked away in the peaceful countryside of Mauk, Georgia, and has such a charming, relaxing atmosphere. They offer a little bit of everything—primitive campsites, adorable yurts, RV sites, and more comfortable campsites like the one we stayed in. We stayed at Site 3, which had a nice view of the main house and one of the horses. If you're looking for the best sunset views, I'd recommend requesting Site 4. It has a platform overlooking the small farm and is the perfect spot to enjoy the evening. One thing people should know is that there is a train nearby, and you'll hear it every 15–30 minutes or so. Unless you're an extremely light sleeper who needs complete silence, I don't think it's an issue. It certainly didn't take away from our experience. The bathhouse was clean, cute, and had hot showers. My only suggestion for improvement would be the motion-sensor lights—they turn off pretty quickly, so you'll find yourself waving your arms while you're in the shower or even sitting in the restroom to keep the lights on. There's also a small camp store, which is a nice bonus. We arrived at 6:00 p.m. and left around 10:00 the next morning, so we didn't have a chance to explore everything, but our stay was peaceful, quiet, and very enjoyable. Thank you

Weekend Trip to Secluded Forrest Getaway

This is a peaceful, secluded spot. It’s a campground and hostel so it’s obviously got other people around but the rules are clear and direct and everyone was friendly and polite. The hosts work to ensure that everything stays well stocked and clean in the communal , as well as ensuring the rules are followed to ensure everyone has a lovely stay. I will be starting again.

Wonderful private property tucked away in the country. Clean water, fun to fish and swim!! So awesome of Mike to provide amenities and allow dogs. We will be back!!

Camping in their camper was the best experience! Very clean and had everything. Eston and his wife are so welcoming and willing to help wherever you need! Their property is beautiful and has a blackberry trail where you can pick and eat berries.

The spots to camp are beautiful and well kept. The horses roam in their enclosure, and you hear them along with plenty of birds and the creek.

3 nights at Briar Ridge

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay at Spring Dale Hipcamp hosted by Eston and his wife. They were incredibly warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The campsite was peaceful, well maintained, and a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. Our pet, Naina, had an amazing time too! She especially loved playing with their friendly dog, Lady. Watching them have so much fun made our stay even more memorable. Thank you, Eston, for your wonderful hospitality. We truly enjoyed our time at Spring Dale and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, pet-friendly getaway. We can't wait to visit again!

Weekend Trip to Lakefront get away

Amazing secluded spot. All hookups available. Great scenery from your temporary home. Has a dock to fish from. This was our first trip with the new travel trailer and were able to bring our two dogs with us for their first camping trip. Towed a 2026 wolf pup 16cm (23feet long) with a 2025 Ford Ranger and still had plenty of room. Mike made sure we knew if we need anything to not hesitate to ask. We didn’t need anything but always nice to have excellent hosts. The campsite was clean.

Weekend Trip to Piney Hills Campground

Awesome site, and the facilities were great.!The host was very kind and helpful. We had a wasps nest above the platform and left a message for the host about the minor issues. She took no time at all and showed up to the site with wasp spray. Also gave us a little more information about the campground while we were waiting for the wasp spray to kick in.Will definitely be back again.

Weekend Trip to West Preserve

Enjoyed the time there and fishing in the creek was great. Will say the picnic tables are not there and grass was a bit tall but for being booked the night before it was not too bad.. the showers do have good hot water and running sink.. however there were quite a few hornets/ wasps nest that made showering a bit nerving wracking, could’ve been a tad bit cleaner however for booking the night before not a big deal.. I had noticed that there was only one fire ring which was not what we had expected we did have a good time and really enjoyed it once we got settled in but I’d recommend bringing a folding table and plenty of bug spray

7 nights at Glam Camp At The Old Dairy

My Bf and I stayed for a week! It was a perfect mix of camping life and indoor living. We would 100% go again and it was a perfect test for future van life! Trails around the camp were a site to see as well!
