Sequim Bay State Park is situated in a unique geographical feature referred to as the Sequim rainshadow. Located just inside the Puget Sound on the Olympic peninsula, the air in Sequim Bay is unusually dry, making it a popular spot for boaters hoping to stay out of the rain. The waters in the bay are calm, so it’s a pleasant spot to float, plop a line in the water and see if anything bites.
On land there is a tennis court, baseball field and horseshoe pit to keep visitors entertained. But if you’d rather do something less sportsy, you can take a stroll along the paved Olympic Discovery Trail. There’s plenty of camping spots here, so feel free to take a few days to experience all this beautiful little bay has to offer.

The Lower Loop is what’s up! Lower Loop sites 66-86 are furthest from the tennis court, ball field, and horseshoes pit, but perhaps getting away from all that ruckus is exactly why you came here. Lower Loop is closest to the Sequim Bay, and the boat ramp so you can be the first to set sail in the morning!Read more...
