The sites overlook the beautiful Canadian River breaks to the north with wide open skies to the west and east to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. These are rustic sites with no improvements. We are just getting started with this so you’ll be able to help us from the ground up. If we are not in a burn ban you’re welcome to have a campfire. There will be opportunities to call up a wild coyote or watch some mule deer or an occasional antelope stroll by. You could even be awakened by the horses on their way to water in the morning and we can set up some horse riding if we have enough notice to schedule time off from the 9-5 haha. simple reasonably spaced and level sites except in spots can be rocky. Very quiet. Great sunsets and close to town. Laundry room with four working washing machines and dryers.(uses app, coins, or cc). Small clean bathroom and check-in was working in laundry room… Plus the price is right.

I loved my hipcamp experience here! To start, the host is quick to help with any questions or information. I was arriving late and received a response almost immediately with everything I would need. Ted, their dog, is awesome. We were told he'd help guide us when we got there and we kinda laughed, said aweee, and expected to see him bark from their house. No...this cutie led us all the way to where we needed to go--not kidding, he would LET US KNOW if we were going the wrong way by standing and barking in front of our car. Not only that, he would keep the same pace as us, make sure we were following along, and only left once we got out and pet him on the head. He was so perfect and honestly made the whole thing worth it. Besides that, their land is beautiful. The horses just graze alongside your car and the windmills are so close! We car camped which was perfect for the weather. A starry night , a beautiful sunrise, and some horse pets later, we were on our way! Quick easy perfect rest stop.

We stayed here one night with our RV and really liked it! 😊 The place felt safe and peaceful, and we slept great. The laundry was nice — not spotless, but the machines were good and it’s great that you can see the remaining time in the app. There’s also a gas station nearby, which is super convenient. The sunset was beautiful, and at night we could see lots of stars ✨ The only downside was a bit of an unpleasant smell in the evening, but overall a really good stay. Definitely recommend! 🚐🌅

We were surprised to see over a dozen others there (but always delight in comparing the rigs!) And the winery, friendly service, and Rockin Music were fun! Dog friendly. Great hosts. Sweet spot.

Oh y’all, I wish I’d gotten to spend more time here! Who knew windmills make the gentlest, subtlest white noise? Did I have to dodge cowpats (the cows and horses kept a respectful distance) and stick to the gravel road for a dusk walk for fear of rattlesnakes? Sure, but it’s Texas!!!

Our family had an absolute blast here. From exploring the old ruins, to seeing tarantulas and bombardier beetles, to even a tiny mouse, we had so much fun exploring. The night sky and the stars were incredible, as well as the lightning show behind our rv. Usually there is too much light pollution in other places, but this spot was perfect! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone, and we will definitely be back if we pass this way again.

We LOVE this place! It fits the camper and the boat nicely! It's really good to have interview access for movies and online games to relax in the evening. It's a very nice clean place and getting able to bring our dogs is such a joy. Thank you for the great stay!
