Star Hosts are highly rated, responsive, and committed to providing incredible experiences.
Disappearing in the woods doesn’t have to be a bad thing. We just prefer to call it forest bathing... Imagine a place that makes you feel like your experience is the only thing that matters. A place that thinks of everything, so you have the space in your mind to explore what matter most to you. A place that inspires and provides the means to help you turn those ideas into something tangible. A place that imbues everything with purpose, including you. Disconnect from distraction. Reconnect with yourself. Choose your level of immersion with our unique shelters. Villa? Geodesic dome? Whatever your preference, each shelter provides a dreamy cocoon to rest, reflect and recharge. They're outfitted with the luxuries you're used to and some you're not. For us, off grid doesn't mean out of touch, at least not entirely. Remember phone booths? Walkies? You'll be just fine. ** Please note: Cell reception and wifi can be spotty. We're happy to point out the best "phone booth" spots for the former, and we are constantly working to improve the latter. We appreciate your patience as we perfect our little piece of the wild. That said, in the meantime, we do urge you to embrace the option to disconnect when possible. We've found it can be quite liberating to go missing for a little while :)

Unique shelter in a geodesic dome!
This is a great place to unwind, and peruse unique shelter structures. I couldn't stop looking at the geodesic dome construction of the shelter, and the simple, yet elegant amenities included inside. Although it seems you don't have that much space, there is quite a bit of floor space, if not the headroom to go with it. The property is fantastic, quiet, and if you want to unwind and unplug, a great place to do so. The plunge tub was a bonus, and I enjoyed the privacy of the open deck. My only caveat would be to carefully select your unit at Missing Motel. Vagary does have some rather trepidating stone stair steps from the parking place to navigate. A couple are surprise wigglers. The host was super attentive and everything was expected. You might be better prepared for cooking and cleanup if you bring some extra utensils, plates, etc. We had enough to manage, but I would have brought extra car camping supplies, like plates, and cups. The purpose is to not add more trash to the environment, but if you're not used to eating off small crockery bowls and using the same silverware over and over, be prepared to make a change in your habits!

Magical retreat
Beautiful property with so much privacy. We loved the walkway to the outdoor area with hammocks and cushions. Such a magical place!

Beautiful getaway for my wife and I for our 3 year anniversary getaway. We enjoyed the opportunity to disconnect from the world and reconnect with each other. We hope to go back and experience the other cabin options in the future.
