This is our family farm, though you probably will not see us much. The campsite is located on a corner of the property on Cummins Creek and once you get there you will feel secluded in nature. Matt grew up here swimming, fishing and exploring in this creek...the creek has taught him more about life than anyone ever could. I hope that you too can understand why we always walk alway feeling like this is a very special spot! TARA was named after the sailboat TARA, pierce family started the vineyard in 2006 and opened the winery in 2007. The historic Murchison mansion is an iconic structure in the midst of the vines. Onsite tasting room and restaurant with share plates and full meals. In 2023, we have added a beautiful 50 ft pool with lovely water features, there is an activity fee to use the pool. Please plan to arrive before dark, so you can get settled in the daylight. We do not have 24 hour staff.

The lake was intended to serve primarily as a reservoir for the city of San Antonio, but it had the secondary effect of transforming the economy of Comal County. Even before the lake was filled, construction had begun on dozens of new subdivisions along the 60-mile lakefront and in the hills around it. By the mid-1980s, more than 80 new neighborhoods had been built, and the little ranching communities of Sattler and Startzville had become thriving commercial centers serving tourists from nearby Austin and San Antonio. The full-time population of the lake area was estimated at 12-16,000, and many thousands more were in the area on weekends.

2 nights at Stunning Dome Retreat w/Hot Tub
This place was amazing. The hosts are so kind and there is always someone you can speak to either in person or via text/phone should anything come up. We LOVED our stay. It was quiet, peaceful, clean, and BEAUTIFUL. We basically lived in the clean pool and hot tub, which overlooks a beautiful field, of which is next to some longhorns and horses who are turned out some of the day (with none of the farm smell, which I personally wouldn’t even mind if it did but I know some people are more sensitive). The bathrooms were super close to the tent, and nice and clean and easy to access. There is also an outdoor bar area next to the bathrooms which gives you access to a large sink with running water, and a place to do any dishes you might have. The AC was nice and cold in the tent, and it was super roomy, had outlets, and the bed was super comfy in our opinion. Will 10000% be back!!! Thank you Zvi, Shmulie, and Chris!!

This was such a dreamy stay in the yurt village. My lover and I lucked up and had the place to ourselves. Everything was immaculately CLEAN! The interior design in the yurt was so cute! We had everything we could've needed in our space. My dog was in heaven running around near the lake and frolicking. I was nervous about the bathrooms but they were spotless and odor free. We had the most relaxing time. Mandy is super responsive and attentive as a host. We were always in great hands. I cannot rave enough about this stay! 10/10 recommend.

My fiancé and I had a great time staying in the airstream! The airstream was roomy and the bed was super comfortable. Landers has just about everything you could need on a relaxing get away. The outdoor shower was somewhat close to the other site but we felt that we had privacy during our time there. We loved getting to watch the ducks and love on the dogs on the property!

Beautiful area and property! House had everything we needed, kids loved the house and loft. We enjoyed walking the trails behind the house and being surrounded by the beautiful hills. We loved our stay at the Hideaway! The cabin is quaint but very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for us to cook breakfast and dinner every night. We enjoyed the hot tub, star gazing and had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The land was beautiful! We saw hummingbirds, turkeys and lots of deer. It is the perfect place to stay when enjoying the area.

We had a wonderful stay in one of the glamping tents. It was the perfect combination of being close to nature while still enjoying the comforts of a cozy vacation. The tent was spacious, clean, and well furnished, making it feel much more comfortable than traditional camping.
The peaceful surroundings created a relaxing atmosphere. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities provided made the experience feel special without taking away from the outdoor setting.
The retreat itself was well-maintained and offered a great escape from everyday life. Whether relaxing outside the tent. The entire experience felt rejuvenating. The guy who was on site was named tres and he was excellent and very kind! I would highly recommend the glamping option to anyone! It was a memorable and relaxing getaway, and I would happily return.

Ultimate dog family getaway! Completely fenced in yard, no holes. My boys (dogs) loved the sound of nature out there and enjoyed the freedom of just roaming around. The Robins Nest is a really special place, a true hidden gem. My wife and I just stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and it was so peaceful. We spent two nights here and enjoyed soaking in the cowboy tub with the camp firing going and making smores. There’s nobody for miles and you get true privacy in the most beautiful treehouse. Shellie is so accommodating and really made our stay! A host like this is rare, you can tell she pours love into this treehouse with each little detail. My wife and I will definitely be back with our pup, I think he enjoyed it even more than we did, which is very hard to do ;)
