Amazing experience! This is a very family friendly camp site. We camped in a tent and the spot they set us up with was really nice, near the outdoor shower, outhouse, and a hammock with a string of lights hung through the trees. There are horses and ponies and goats that roam the property and come say hi and there’s some playground equipment for little kids to play on. The property is fenced in and it felt very safe to let my kids run around. It’s owned by a very sweet family, who maintain their land really well. As a member of the LGBTQ community, it’s often difficult to find places that I can feel safe out in nature with my kids and they were very accepting of my family and I. If you’re looking for a fun, quiet, family friendly spot to camp, I highly recommend staying here.

Weekend Trip to Indian Blanket Ranch - Utopia Texas

This is an amazing find and a great weekend getaway! It was my favorite HipCamp find so far. The cabin is very secluded and quiet. The nature trails are beautiful and very well maintained. Leann was very responsive to messages and a great host. There is a gate around the cabin to keep your fur babies close. We had clear skies and enjoyed star gazing in the hot tub. I can’t wait to return!

We absolutely loved tent camping on Krystal’s land! It was beautiful and nice to get away out into the country for a couple days. We loved the open atmosphere and the fact that the animals could roam free. We loved every interaction we had with her animals they were all very sweet and kept to themselves. If you’re looking to camp somewhere away from the city this is the place to go! We could not recommend Krystal’s land more! Thank you for the awesome opportunity Krystal and we will definitely be booking this place again if we find ourselves on that side of town again!

One of the best out there. Bridget was fast to respond and really cares about the guest experience. She went above and beyond a few times unprompted. The sites were great and spaced well apart. Easy drive from Austin. Kayaks available for rent and we took them out to go fishing. Beautiful land that is well taken care of. Plenty of details that show that the property owners care - from the fire pits to the showers to the layout of the sites - all very well thought out. Our family had a wonderful time. One note - you can hear the train horns at night, which kept us up the first night. They didn’t seem to bother us as much the second night. Bring earbuds if you’re sensitive to that. We’ll be back. Thanks again!

Two tents have one queen bed and two have two queen beds. We provide two air mattresses to sleep total 16!! There are AC units in each of the tents to keep cool at night. Please note that the hot tub is only included if all 4 tents are booked. Our common areas include 2 showers, 2 toilets, 1 extra large sink area connected to the bathrooms, 2 grills and 4 large picnic tables, a bar and coffee station, a fire pit, hammocks and a rope swing. This space is perfect for any family celebration, reunion, birthday party, ect! It is tucked away at the bottom of the property so you get the space to yourself. IMPORTANT! There is an additional $25/yurt if you want to use the hot tub during your stay. Guest access When you arrive at our house you will park in our circle driveway and walk through the double green gates down the hill to the glampsite. (To the left past the house) The road is slippery/steep so please use the steps. Backpack recommended for easier up and down! You can roll a cooler down the (steep) road! Fuller's Folly River Ranch

Sundancer On The Brazos sits on Comanche Creek in an isolated forest on a 350 acre working cattle ranch with a quarter mile of river frontage! The Comanche were quite active up and down this part of the Brazos when the earliest settlers arrived around 1850, until the Comanches' eventual conquest by the Texas Rangers and their Colt pistols around 1870; we have found lots of flint and some arrowheads on high places here. Going further back in history, the Fuller's Folly River Ranch has an abundance of petrified wood, they say that if you have fossilized sea shells you were under water, but if you have petrified wood you had land creatures. Hunting for petrified wood is a fun adventure here. (But leave them for the next person to discover!) Weatherford is only 10 minutes away and Granbury is only 20 minutes away; both have great restaurants. And this close to Fort Worth (30min), you could actually commute and have a ranch to come home to at night--note the lower pricing mid week.

About 15 minutes to tube rentals to float the river in San Marcos. The San Marcos outlet malls are a shower trip. An approximate 30 minute trip to Wimberly, TX wineries. There are wildflowers all over the property; especially in the spring time. We have seen deer grazing on the property and some travelers have found fossils and arrowheads (no guarantees of course). It was a quick drive from a busy day in Austin where the nature and quiet we’re so needed. Shellie has thought of everything for this amazing getaway. We could have gotten away with not bringing a thing. A quaint treehouse, overlooking a pond, nature all around, two more ponds a short stroll away. Our favorite part, the seclusion. An escape from the busyness and chaos of the world. Being able to cook dinner by the fire, hear the bullfrogs croaking and take a soak in the outdoor tub overlooking the evening. Do yourself a favor and invite the day with a grateful heart while showering in the open air shower. Sun rising, view of robins and chickadees while appreciating the whisper of the oaks all around. At Robins Nest we were explorers. We were artist, we were fisherman. We were silly, we were fun. We lived out every child’s dream, including my own inner child. We were storytellers.
