We have a 5 acre homestead/hobby farm that is nestled in the Sam Houston National Forest. We are off the beaten path with beautiful views, peace and quiet and farm animals! We have goats, donkeys, rabbits, a miniature cow, a miniature horse, a pony, ducks, geese, turkeys, peacocks and chickens roaming our property. We just had a new addition Colt who was born on our property March 12th 2023. He is our precious little donkey.
We are a semi primitive camping spot. Come and enjoy getting away from the city without going too far. Enjoy the beautiful star filled sky. Feed the animals at 9am and love on them all day. Nestled on 6 acres in the hills above Fredericksburg, Hill Country Soulcation is surrounded by towering oak trees, native landscaping and wildlife. You can satisfy your wildest adventure during the day and relax under the starry sky at night.
We have three units on the property and each is approximately 500 feet from one another. We've tried to use the natural landscape to provide as much privacy as possible.
Each unit has its own private two-person hot tub, fire pit seating area, propane grill (propane provided) and outdoor dining area. We also offer an additional community outdoor area with dining table for six, large fire pit seating area, horse shoes pit and cedar barrel sauna.

Cowboys and Angels RV Campsites, Cabins and Events is a gated 50 acre high fenced game ranch that offers a unique setting for a vacation getaway. Located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, you'll find the perfect spot for your relaxing getaway. We offer RV sites with full hookups (20/30/50amp, water, sewage), at nightly/weekly/monthly rates (electricity included in rate!). Most sites are surrounded by hearty oak trees to provide ample shade.
No RV? No problem! Cowboys and Angels also has eight cabins that vary in size, as well as a two bedroom Lodge with a relaxing soaking tub in the master bathroom and a full kitchen in the open and spacious main area.
Enjoy the wide variety of wildlife as you sip coffee and watch the sunrise/sunset. You can take advantage of Bortle 3 dark skies for a fantastic stargazing opportunity, since we don't have the light pollution found near cities.
Property amenities include a swimming pool, hot tub, covered pavilion with picnic tables and BBQ pit, covered band stage, party barn, WiFi lounge with coffee nook, and a rustic little chapel for the perfect wedding venue!
Twenty minutes from area towns with a variety of eating and shopping options. Access to the Guadalupe River is nearby in Kerrville. Fredericksburg is a scenic half hour trip , and is home to many vineyards for wine tasting. Twisted Sister motorcycle loop is nearby as well as many Texas Hill Country activities in Bandera, Comfort and Boerne.

Weekend Trip to The Hive Yurt Retreat
The Hive Retreat is simply magical! When my niece asked to go camping for her birthday I wasn't sure how I, a non-camping person, could make that happen.
The Hive was the perfect solution. We could make a fire for hot dogs and s'mores. Enjoy the stars and a sunrise over the pond. Wake up to natural light through the skylight but also be in comfortable beds when we did.
The restrooms were wonderful, and the hospitality and details Mandy puts into each stay is spectacular. It truly feels above and beyond at every turn.
We cannot wait to go back and are already recommending The Hive to friends!

Our cabin was clean and fun. There were deer on the property. The host was friendly. After full dark the stars were bright and light pollution was minimal. The town of Ingram was 20 minutes away and had a nice coffee shop and some good restaurants. The views and scenery around the camp were lovely.

We had such a great time staying at this treehouse in Lockhart! My wife and I stayed here with our two dogs, and it was the perfect cozy getaway for all of us. It had a really fun camping feel while still being comfortable, and the way it was creatively built around the tree made it feel unique and special. We especially loved the arts and crafts touches—it added so much charm. The bed was warm and super comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day outdoors. On top of that, the host was very responsive and genuinely kind, which made the whole stay even better. We’d definitely recommend this spot and would love to come back!

We are new to RVing and this camp really made us feel welcome and comfortable with RV life. The site was excellent, easy pull thru, and very well kept up. We were traveling with three dogs and we were very close to the pet area which was also very well kept up. All of the hookups were lighted making it much easier to hook up at night. Overall, we would highly recommended this camp.

This trip was mega cool. The tree house was super comfortable. To everyone considering there I have a message: there is a property full size bed in the tree house. The photos make it look like it's a tiny sofa and you can't sleep on it, but in reality it is a proper bed big enough for two people. Over all I would give this place 5 out of 4 stars.

I think I found a hidden gem for the price of a piece of coal. This camp ground thought of it all. Clean, convenient, and quiet. I was able to relax and reorganize in the midst of my trip. I will definitely mark this as a place to stop again. Tip: book through hip camp for the deal.
The address takes you across the street onto a narrow road. Watch for their sign.

Perfect weekend getaway from apartment living! Plenty of privacy and an enclosed gate so our pup could wander while we made a campfire. Hot tub was such a wonderful treat, all water was temperature controlled and easy to use, compost toilet was clean, the bed was sooo comfy and grilling/cooking amenities were plentiful w/ options! Landers was an excellent host with clear direction and quick communication. This place is in an excellent location for travelers or those just looking for a nearby weekend retreat. Very safe. Love the ducklings on site. We look forward to visiting again very soon.

2 nights at HomeAway Ranch & Wildlife Preserve
I stayed in the Lindavista Cabin and the pictures don't do it justice. The inside of the cabin is completely styled in luxury country chic. You'll find a giant LCD television in the living area, stainless steel appliances, lcd-enabled mirrors in the two full bathrooms with wraparound glass showers (one on each floor), a huge two-person jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom upstairs, remote controlled air conditioners and fans on each floor, a private balcony off of the master bathroom, and a fully enclosed sunroom off the master bedroom that could also be used as an additional bedroom for more guests. Even the kitchen faucet has an LED light that shines from the water to let you know whether the water is hot or cold. There's a comfortable little porch at the door of the cabin, and I was visited by an entire group of 9 or 10 adorable goats a couple of times each day! The cabins on this property are spaced pretty close together, but the owners did an excellent job of arranging them so that the cabins do not directly look into each other, a relief since there are no curtains in any of the many windows of this cabin. There was a small hiccup on check-in time (Hipcamp said 2pm but the owners told me 3pm not long before I arrived), but otherwise I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing, peaceful, and luxurious stay.

Lovely wide open property with large spaces, adorable cabins, large clean bath house, pool and hot tub. our surprise was to find it is also an exotic deer farm so all the time here we were surrounded by the deer roaming freely.
