Once the largest man-made reservoir in the world, Grand Lake St. Mary's State Park may have relinquished its title, but not any of its grandeur. Explore the 13,500 acre lake in your high-powered boat, where bald eagles and herons have chosen nearby trees as their hallowed nesting grounds. Although no hiking trails are available, you can always rent a bike and wheel around in search of beaver or coyote sightings.
