Clayton Geneva Camp Ground began as a retreat for our family since the 70's. My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family.
Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile.
Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy.
Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

Spend your days cooling off in natural swimming holes, floating along the creek, or casting a line for smallmouth and redeye bass. The area is rich with wildlife—you may spot otters, mink, deer, and a variety of birds ranging from songbirds to bald eagles. In spring and early summer, wildflowers blanket the forest floor, bringing vibrant color to your hikes.

A short walk downstream leads you to Waterloo Falls, a scenic destination featuring two waterfalls, outdoor recreation areas, and an event space. This hidden paradise has a waterfall that used to have a mill on it in the early 1900's. There are cliffs on each side of the creek making it the perfect spot for serene relaxation. Following upstream is an assortment of spots to pitch a tent. The most notable sites are surrounded by hemlock tree's and is peaceful when birds chirp over the small rapids echoing from the large overhang
*I am in the process of making multiple sites but until I do so it is first come first serve. There are multiple sites at main campsite and along creek, I've had a private event of thirty people staying at once. There are also smaller spots next to waterfall, uphill near cliff and I've had people go below falls for some complete wilderness (blocked by gorge and waterfall). With this being said, I do offer private bookings and accommodate special events!
*I travel for work, so I won't always be here, but I will send directions and details after confirmation and make sure all is savvy during. Please be respectful to one and another and let me know asap if any issues arise but truthfully everyone has been amazing and I thoroughly enjoy meeting and getting to know everyone!

This area is an old tobacco and cattle farm on a point above Laurel Lake. We do a bit of farming and crafting when we can and thought we’d try and share our lovely spot! Much of the timber on the place is nearly 100 years old hardwoods, with a couple of fields throughout. I camp here myself too, and can recommend it for privacy!

• Dual Sports Weekend reservations require a three-night minimum stay, full payment, and are non-refundable.
• Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day weekends require a two-night minimum stay, full payment, and are non-refundable.

We are a working cattle farm on 33 acres with rolling pastures and peaceful wooded areas to enjoy. Hike down to Wilson Creek to search for geodes and explore the woods. Sit a spell by the creek side fire pit. Try fishing, swimming and boating at Barren River Lake, just a short drive from the property. Mammoth Cave, Kentucky Down Under and the Corvette Museum are all within 30 min.

Cumberland Falls RV Resort is a small, private, and peaceful 26-site RV park designed for a relaxing, nature-filled getaway. Each spacious site ranges from 60 to 100 ft deep so we can accomodate any big rig regardless of size—every site as well features full hookups (30/50 amp, water, and sewer), a private fire pit, picnic table with umbrella, and two comfortable Adirondack chairs, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
At the heart of the park, guests can enjoy two pavilions, a pickleball court, cornhole, horseshoes, and a gated dog park to let your furry friends run freely—great for both families and couples looking to relax or stay active. Golf cart rentals (available after May 15, 2026) make it easy to explore the property, including our scenic 2-mile private hiking trail and a 2.5-mile golf cart path leading to our beautiful 4-acre catch-and-release lake.
Located in McCreary County, Kentucky, we are less than one mile from Cumberland Falls—home to the famous moonbow—and surrounded by some of the most breathtaking outdoor experiences in the region. The area offers over 170 miles of hiking trails, 500+ natural arches, and opportunities for kayaking, rafting, horseback riding, and more.

2nd time visiting here and will continue to come back! I have had the place to myself both times which makes it even better! Still working on the best spot to put my tent but I have zero complaints! wonderful campground! Trevor was a great host for my family and I. He was available at any time. its just a beautiful site with some nice additions like the pickleball court, the weber grill, the shower and bathroom, and of course the 2 goats! Highly recommend a little escape here.

We had an amazing time at Amber's property. The RV sites had all the basic things for hookup and the bathhouse was nearby. Only downside to the sites was a lack of shade. The hike down to the river was nice and we enjoyed a quick swim. Amber hung out for a bit and shared about her family's farm and animals. She has put a lot of work into this property, and we will definitely be back to enjoy it again!

Amber, the host, was very nice. She greeted us a couple of times during our weekend stay. The bathrooms were really clean and the area was pretty. I do also like all the optional add ons you can do here if you wanted!

We had a fantastic stay with our 2 dogs. Gavin's property has a nice layout that feels private and the sites are well taken care of. Plenty of space for the dogs to stretch their legs and plenty of sky to stargaze. This was our 2nd time staying here and we hope to be back in the future!
