Want to be close to Long Beach Island (LBI) without the crowds? You've found the place! Our lot is 1.22 acres only several miles away from LBI, New Jersey. The owner-occupied residence is tucked away from the road with only one neighbor in sight.
We live in a 1987 geodesic dome home on the property. Additionally, our self-converted 2002 International Blue Bird school bus is parked here. There is plenty of room for you to park in the circle driveway or to the left of the dome.

We have two private, quiet and roomy wooded campsites, both with shared access to a private-entrance indoor bathroom with shower, a jacuzzi, a washer/dryer and now a cold plunge that you can set to your desired temp. Please rinse off with the nearby hose or the outside shower before using the jacuzzi and cold plunge. The bathroom, W/D, jacuzzi and ice plung are at the main house about 150 yards away. One site, Deep Woods 1, has power and party lights. Our second site, Serenity Now, has a screened gazebo. Both have plenty of parking, fire pits, chairs, and unlimited wood. Our 2 and a half acre property is situated in a very rural quiet area. The Wickecheoke creek, a tributary of the Delaware, runs through the property. There is a private seating area at the little creek for serene enjoyment and private meditation.
The camp site has a small firepit and picnic table and the cabin has a large firepit, a patio area, and back deck. Plenty of wood is available - free again this season.
The camping area is semi wooded. Both the campsite and little "log and have access to a large open grassy area, fun for children or dogs to recreate.
The little 'log cabin' is a cozy and complete cottage with full kitchen, full bathroom, queen size bed, and a pull out sofa, pull out chair and pack and play. (Sleeps 4).
There are many parks, conservation reserves and nature trails to hike nearby. Your can bike along farm roads in the area and find places to have your picnic lunch. Forgot some supplies?- within 3 short miles are many shops, services and restaurants, many deliver.
Several varieties of wildlife are in the area: you will spot eagles, white tail deer, racoons, wild turkeys and red fox, to name a few, while you stroll, bike or drive throughout the area.
Stop at the many creeks and enjoy the vibrant sounds of the bubbling waters; fish, frogs , turtles, blue heron and the many critters who habitate the waters.
For birders there are over 75 species of birds within a short walk. During changes of seasons you can often see many birds in flight migrating to far away places. Bring your binoculars and camera.
For you shop and antique explorers, just a short drive to the Delaware River and its quaint villages only 10 miles away: Lambertville, New Hope and Frenchtown. Boutiques, art studios, antique shops and restaurants .
Enjoy any one of the many local Brewers, Distilleries and vineyards all within a short drive of Oak Grove Acres.

Nestled on the ridgeline of the 3rd Watchung Mountain, the property sits above The Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. You'll be in a neighborhood, for sure, but a quiet one with lots of room for people and pets to stretch. The property has a 3000 square foot Summer wildflower field with a cozy tent spot in the center. There is also a grand flat grass area for setting up multiple tents. A 100-foot dog trolley run spans the land so your fluffy can run and stay close, too. Numerous outdoor chairs and tables are set up in various spots to best enjoy the land. There is a fire pit and free firewood available. Use of up to two 8-foot single kayaks or a single 17-foot canoe is available. My property is an old blueberry farm. There is a cleared area that I use for dog training at the front of the property and some trails throughout the property; but mostly it’s a quiet place to sleep in a small/medium sized self-contained RV without slide-outs to the side (your RV or van must contain a toilet which must be emptied off-site. Further note: I DO NOT allow tents). Also, if your RV has low clearance, there is a slope from the road to the driveway, thus the bottom of your RV may scrape the ground (neither of my vans have a problem with this: I have a Ford E350 and a Ram Promaster).
If on the site in July, you can pick a pint or two of blueberries (IF they are available) for your own use. The berries are chemical free. My neighbor to the right also has a pick-your-own farm with tended blueberry fields (you are not allowed to pick my neighbor’s crop unless he is there so you can pay him)
My site is in the NJ Pine Barrens which is renowned for its unspoiled nature, abundant, and diverse wildlife. It is also within the Pinelands National Reserve and within the area designated by the United Nations as an International Biosphere Reserve.
Nearby is the Batona Trail, the Franklin Parker preserve, canoeing on Chatsworth Lake or the Wading River, bicycling through the Pine Barrens and and the cranberry bogs on the bicycle lanes on Routes 532 and 563, the quaint village of Chatsworth also known as the Capital of the Pines, Hot Diggidy Dog a food stand within the village of Chatsworth, and Brendan Byrne State Forest which includes the historic cranberry farming village of Whitesbog where the cultivated blueberry was developed by Elizabeth White and Dr. Frederick Coville. The Whitesbog Preservation Trust which manages the village has an extensive year round calendar of events and a month-long blueberry festival during weekends in July.

We quite enjoyed our stay. It was exactly as promised: shady, private and the jacuzzi was a nice extra and welcome after a day at the beach. Very easy to find, thanks to Pat's clear directions. The shower was a life saver with the heat, we used towels on the floor as it gets dirty real quick otherwise. The location is a great launch point to do anything in the county. We'll definitely be back.

Wading Pines Camp Resort is a hidden gem. My partner and I took our two kids and two dogs for a short weekend. We stayed in a cabin behind the pond and it was simple yet had everything we needed. We decided with all our gear and the boys to just buy and cook food once we got settled and was happily surprised to find the day a little restaurant! Very reasonably priced and tasty, it was such a stress taken away, not needing to cook, clean up after or buy and transport food. Our stay was unfortunately quite short, but we’re definitely looking forward to coming back soon, trying different sites and tent camping and kayaking on the trail behind the cabins!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

He even recommended the Upper Hideaway since no one had booked it, and it turned out to be a great spot! He also gave us helpful recommendations on nearby places and things to do. Tom and Mary have a very nice setup with three different camping spots on the edge of a meadow under some trees. There is a 30 amp hookup and a water hose for water. I was camping there and visiting the Old City of Philadelphia as day trips. It's about an hour from Tom and Mary's place to the center of the Old City in Philadelphia.

We had a great stay here! It was the perfect spot for visiting Long Beach Island—close enough to get to the beach and restaurants easily, but nice and quiet when we wanted to relax. The best part for us was the huge fenced-in backyard. Our dogs had an absolute blast running around and playing, and it was so nice not having to worry about them.
Janissa and Jesse were wonderful hosts. They were friendly, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We'd definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone, especially if you're traveling with dogs!

The people at the campground were helpful and friendly. Our site was perfect. They had offered us a free upgrade which we definitely appreciated! There are a lot of summer-long campers there but the place still has a weekend camper feel. We would definitely go back.

I loved getting a nice affordable spot away from the crowds at this spot. The host was very nice to talk to. We didn't take advantage of the fire pit or hot tub, but having a bathroom was very nice for me and my girlfriend. We used the power hookup to plug my vans 20amp male end shore power plug in which was very nice. My Chevy express van is 9 1/2' tall which did have a few small limbs to scrape in the short trail back in, but it fit well into the spot and I could back out even at night. Very private. 15-25 mins to OCNJ beaches and 15-20 minutes to Sea Isle City night life.

A wonderful example of nature taking back the land, this area that formerly housed the Lebanon Glass Works factory in the 1800’s is now a lovely landscape of forests, streams, and swampy land. Natural highlights include the Cedar Swamp Natural Area which is home to endangered plants. History buffs can seek out the Whitesbog Village which was once a bustling cranberry and blueberry town and is currently being restored. There are 25 miles of trails waiting to be explored in Brendan T. Byrne State Forest where you may catch glimpse of an abandoned building through the trees that'll remind you that nature always prevails!
