Know Before You Go
- Cape Henlopen State Park is about a 30-minute drive east of Georgetown.
- The park has a per-vehicle admission fee. Camping reservation fees and fishing permits are also required.
- Facilities include a visitor center, food concession, fishing pier, picnic areas, and restrooms. Beach umbrella, bike, and kayak/canoe/SUP rentals are available in season.
- The swimming beach provides lifeguard patrols from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
