The first time we viewed this property, we knew we were home. The woods, fields, wildlife, and house (created almost entirely from the lumber harvested from the land) drew us in. We purchased the home and 40 acres in 2018. Since then it has been a labor of love to make it everything we dream. A campground suitable for horseback riding was the goal for W15266. This was where the original homestead stood (firepit area). That home was transported across 95 on Davis road to become an Amish home. This area was overgrown and filled with rubbish, but still had a great deal of suitable plants hidden in the raspberries. We are continually working to groom it, and eventually, hope to better level the drive and sites and cover them with gravel. We need more and better fire pits and intend to have at least one more cabin- perhaps created from a refurbished corn crib? This cabin was refurbished in 2020 from the original homestead’s summer kitchen (where food was prepared to keep the house from getting too warm). Although it may have been easier to demolish and start over, Julie convinced Craig that the history was worth it. ;) I can’t tell you how disGUSTING it was, but we found treasures like the chair upstairs, the ironing board, and items on the walls and cupboards amongst the piles of Asian beetles and mouse chewings. Our current project you see in front is the bath/shower house. It has a toilet and shower and was completed 2021. With expansion, we will add one more toilet on the other side. The old shed in front, is a disaster. We fluctuate the same way we did with the summer kitchen: bulldoze or refurbish? It currently houses our equipment and lumber, but someday, we are hoping to have a small country Tiki bar. Craig has received the liquor license already. We love tucked away country bars with unique flavors, so we hope we can offer this to our customers. Jeske Equestrian is also a boarding/training facility. We built the horse barn in 2019, and last year we put up a 60x180 indoor riding arena. Maintaining and creating trails has been extensive. Keeping up on the signage and the trail map has been nearly impossible since Craig loves creating new ones with the skid steer on a regular basis! We are working on the pond area to be more recreational in our future as well. Thanks again for choosing us. We hope to see you again! Enjoy the sweeping prairie and sunset views from your camping area.  All sites have access to toilet facilities and water, each site has their own picnic table. Hike right from your tent onto 80 acres of prairie, woods and valley views. Lots of wildlife and wildflowers. Kayak the nearby Chippewa River. Shockingly few mosquitos for the upper Midwest due to the lack of standing water. The campsites are located on a working homestead, complete with old farm house and gardens. Site 1, Bee Balm is shaded by nearby trees and is closest to the shower and toilet. If you are camping with a trailer we recommend the Bee Balm site as there is more space and better access. The highlight of Site 2, Oak Grove, is a shady grove of young oaks that you can set your tent up under. Site 3, Meadowlark, is a tent site surrounded by prairie grass about 20' from where you park. It has a picnic table but no fire pit.

The English Pale Campground is located along the Black River in Jackson County, 1 mile west of the Village of Melrose. The entire property only allows guests and occupants who are 21 or older. Sites/house can be booked 6 months in advance. The main campground is 70 feet above the river, so the beach access paths have 14% grade change . We have 5 rustic (no hook-ups) RV/Travel Trailer/Tent sites "up top", a fully furnished “Manor” House, a travel trailer as well as 2 rustic beach sites and 2 rustic river sites that are located along the river. The property is a total of 70 acres, which includes the 4+ acre beach, a mile of river front and trails through the woods that connect them all. IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION: The river edge erosion wall construction is complete however it suffered extensive damage. The area will need to be repaired this summer (July and August) but not on weekends. The English Pale opened in 2021 and is a developing property. In November of 2025 an erosion wall was built along the Black River. This included clearing of a section of the forest, building a gravel access road and an riprap river wall to prevent further erosion. Since 2016 over 60 feet of the riverbank has washed away. ATV/UTV/golfcarts are allow to operate on gravel pathways without any permits. This includes up to but NOT on the beach. A permit from management must be obtained for ATV/UTVs to operate ON the beach. Our property offers a reasonable expectation of privacy and we do not offer day passes as our target guests are campers. We are an adult only property, but not a nudist campground, as that is not our central theme. We do not prohibit our guests from nudity for the purpose of sunbathing on the beach, campsites or sundeck, but nudity is not allowed in general common areas. Part of our nature is allowing discreet nudity for tanning purposes. While we target couples for time together, singles and groups are welcome. Welcome ; Located in southeast Minnesota's Driftless region of hills, valleys, fields and forests, we are a grass based working dairy farm with over 100 acres of woodland, including an extensive trail system and campsites in our wooded acres. What makes this woodland special is it's quiet, secluded setting and over 6 miles of hiking / skiing trails. Our farmstead sits three quarter of a mile off the paved county highway on our well maintained gravel driveway. Two of our sites require 4WD with a minimum of 6 inches ground clearance to access, and two are accessible with 2WD. If you do not have 4WD we can help transport your gear while you enjoy the walk in. There are plenty of woodland birds, deer, turkeys, raccoons and squirrels sharing the woods with you. At night it is common for owls to visit the campsite area to say hello, and coyotes talking in the distance. The winding trails through 100 acres of woodland offer a variety of woodland habitats, from Old growth Maple to mixed hardwood, to dense brush, to the edges of open pastureland. Bring your fat bike or mountain bike for an enjoyable ride. For winter users there is a mix of easy, moderate, and challenging winter cross country skiing or snowshoeing / hiking on the property. However the Rock Bottom Cabin is our only heated and insulated site and is available for winter booking. Winter access is walk in only with snow on the ground or in the forecast. We can help transport gear. This property is part of a working pasture-based dairy farm and guided tours of the dairy and cattle are available when scheduling allows. Children 12 and younger are free at our campsites. No need to be counted as guests , but please let us know when requesting to book. Jeff was super nice and friendly. We had a great time listening to live bluegrass and enjoying wood fired pizza. The camping spaces were nice as well. Spent the later hours at the campsite listening to the frogs chirping and watching the fireflies. Would highly recommend!

Joyce was a lovely host and met us when we arrived. Her camping area was flawless and scenic. She provided very kind small touches and the environment was relaxing. We used her site as a stop over during a longer trip but would certainly recommend for a family just wanting to bond and spend a quiet weekend outside together. We have dogs and had the luxury of letting them frolic off leash because we had the place to our selves. There is a small county highway fully out of sight and you can only slightly hear vehicles.

I arrived after dark so it was helpful to have messaged Andy earlier to know exactly where to park my vehicle for sleeping. In the morning, I saw the nice view of the farm land around me on the rolling hills. There is farm equipment and storage sheds, and other buildings around the various campsites. I saw RV’s spread out, and other lodging accommodations on the land. A farm store was near the entrance of the driveway.

We had arrived late at night @ 9:30, the host met us and guided us into our spots. Very friendly hosts. I shopped in their little store when leaving, they have a great selection of beef and pork, they had other stuff too.

Sweet little spot on the cornfield with electric and water! Unfortunately we were just passing through the area and decided to book a site for a night kind of last minute. It was right off the 90, super easy to get to, and right down the road from an extremely clean truck stop! We wish we could’ve had more time to explore the trails and stock up at the farm store!

We booked late and about an hour from our arrival. Although Hipcamp let us book for an electrical site, Andy messaged us right away explaining his electric sites were already booked but let us park in the lawn. Wish I didn’t have to pay for electric considering that, but it was a nice spot to run our generator and pick up eggs from Andy’s farm store.

Very centrally located little gem of an RV park with lots of shade trees. There are so many sites nearby and the Mississippi River is within sight. Nice, clean bathroom with large shower stall. Owners are very responsive as well.

Conveniently located 2 mi off the highway. Quiet atmosphere for a night after traveling. Site spacing is spacious. Water and 30 amp electric available. Farm store with eggs and meats for sale. We were hoping for ice cream but we weren't that lucky 😂 We will stay again.

Weekend Trip to Wedges Creek Hideaway Pizza Farm!

This was our second time camping at Wedges Creek. We loved the first experience so much we came back with more people. We had campsites and cabins rented. Cabins 2, 3, 4 and 5. All we absolutely adorable. Clean and cozy! The campsites were 7 and 8. We enjoyed beautiful bonfires at night with a bonus of watching the wildlife walk along the fields. Take advantage of the woodfired Pizza! Amazing! Live music at night made for a fun night of dancing. Outdoor venue on nice days along with an indoor venue in case of weather. Jeff, the host, goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. Make sure you ask him for the story of Frog Town and take the tour if you can! Highly recommend! Already planning our 3rd trip!

Perfect level spot on a beautiful farm. Yes it is very close to I90 and you will hear the many trucks. But you can also be on the interstate in minutes. Cleanest porta potty we ever been in. And the cutest little store.

Great quiet one night stopover here on our way east over the July 4th holiday. Intentionally looked for somewhere away from crowds and this did not disappoint. Especially appreciated the electric service with the overnight temps in the high 70s. Easy in and easy out. Would definitely stay again!

A great stopover location not far off I-90. Even with our late arrival, we were just early enough that the host greeted us and gave us direction to our site. Peaceful location and plenty of room for big rigs. Will definitely make it a stop whenever possible when traveling through. Don't miss checking out their little store too! I am sure there are things to do in the vicinity and stay longer, but we were traveling through and just needed a nights sleep.

We loved staying at this camping site. Area was beautiful and quiet. There was some road noise from Route 90 but not too bad. We had plenty of room to keep our tow dolly and car on. Good water pressure. We walked around with our dogs and saw steer, goats, and lots of birds. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Very nice location. Met a very nice couple from Alaska! Conveniently located off the Highway. Loved the ability to buy farm raised meats! Can't wait to eat the tomahawk steak! When you don't want the normal rv park and small atmosphere. This is your location! We didn't realize State Parks don't open until May!

Nice camp set up with water and electricity. Smooth entrance and exit for our 28' travel trailer. Andy responded quickly and ensured we were all set up even though we arrived after dark. Only downside is I-90 is just across the field and highway noise was a part of the stay. Thanks much Frickson's.
