Kathy was amazing! We decided to take a chance and tent camp in late October. The site is very peaceful and she built firewood up for our first fire upon arrival. We left many things behind on the days we traveled to fish or hike with no worries. The river and woods are peaceful. Appreciate the water she leaves to clean hands and cookware! Look forward to returning and camping next year. Thank you Kathy and Randy!

I loved camping here for Labor Day Weekend!
If you are camping in Door county this is a good spot. Just make sure you have a thick blanket or camping mat for the ground. There are large mulch pieces.

My dogs and I had a fantastic stay car camping at this site. I spent most of my time paddleboarding in the river and I would highly recommend this site to folks who enjoy paddle sports. The water was clear with a muddy bottom. Feeding the fish was definitely a highlight! There was plenty of shade and grassy areas for me to exercise my dogs. I had no issues with bugs; not even mosquitoes. I didn't have to wear any bug repellant. There was no grill grate or tripod for cooking so keep that in mind. The site is a bit noisy, you can hear the nearby highway traffic, lawn mowing and train. I came on a Saturday and there were gunshots going off until dark (maybe a shooting range nearby?) But those are things the host can't change. I brought a white noise machine along and that helped a lot. Overall I had a fantastic time at this site and can't wait to come back.

We really enjoyed this site. It was private, secluded and well maintained. Kathy and her husband were very kind and attentive, and they did everything they could to make our stay pleasurable, including driving over to unplug some of the fairy lights so we could have darkness near our tent. The only negative feeling I have regarding this site is the traffic noise, it is VERY loud and noticeable, it got a little better at night, but still obvious. I feel like it's just something to be aware of. We would come here again though, no doubt.

Camping at Riverside was a wonderful get away for our 1 year wedding anniversary. The spot is private and wonderfully manicured. It was great to have a Porta Potty onsite, and the shower bags were a good sent for rinsing off and cleaning up dishes. Kathy and Randy were friendly, and responsive. Our pup Kitty LOVES the river! Having access to firewood on site was another plus! We will definitely be back if we are in the area!

This was our 2nd time staying here and we highly recommend it. It is a great place, well maintained, private and perfect place to bring dogs that aren't use to being around tons of people or on leash. Its a safe place to post up and go explore Norway, Iron Mountain and much more. Kathy and Randy are amazing hosts and we enjoyed visiting with them again this year.

We were there during a terrible storm, the staff were so conscientious and caring of their campers...the staff found a temporary camper for a couple who lost their tent in the storm. How great is that! We will definitely visit Camp Door again! Thanks for a great experience.

We had such a wonderful stay at Kathy and Randy’s riverside camp spot! You can tell they truly care about their land and about creating a welcoming experience for their guests. The property is beautifully maintained, and the thoughtful amenities made the night so comfortable—from the clean port-a-potty to the stocked firewood, solar string lights that came on at dusk, and even a shower/changing tent with warm sun-soaked water bags ready to use.
The river was calm and peaceful, and it was the perfect setting for our dog’s very first night camping (she loved being able to roam off leash!). We fell asleep to the sounds of the river and woke up to birdsong, with hummingbirds visiting the flowers and trout swimming in the clear water nearby.
This place has so much to offer if you’re looking for a quiet, well-cared-for spot to connect with nature. We’re so grateful for our stay and for such kind and passionate hosts!

II liked that the campground was outside of town a bit as Door County can get crazy busy and loud in the summer. Spent some time at Bailey’s Harbor and enjoyed our time at Door County Brewing and Lakeside Winery. A great place to watch the sunset. We will be back,

The campground is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and well-equipped. A heartfelt thank you to JoJo, who went out of her way to lend us her personal hair dryer — such a kind and thoughtful gesture that meant so much to us. This is a traditional, close-in camp (spaces barely separated) that has been well used over the years but also well-tended. Good location in the middle of the Door County tourist area, close to many of the attractions that make Door County, WI a grat place to visit. The neighbors we met were friendly; those we didn't left us alone. Many small cabin and glamp tents, this would be a nice place to "home base" a family for excursions into the area.

There is nothing like waking up to an absolutely gorgeous view of a peaceful river. Kathy and Randy have put a tremendous amount of love and hard work into this campsite, and it shows! Massive level gravel site that has tons of room to maneuver (we have an F150 and an 14’ camper) and still maintains patches of shade trees. Without a doubt, the cleanest, freshest smelling, cutest port-a-potty in the ENTIRE world. They had two solar shower bags filled and ready for us to use and a shower/changing tent all set up. There were so many other thoughtful amenities including solid wooden picnic tables and benches along the river (no wobbly plastic junk here) and sunken fire pits. We felt safe and secure. Our travel pup, Molly, had a grand time sniffing around and watching the fish jumping in the water. She gives River View: Five Paws. 🐾 🐾🐾🐾🐾
Our only problem was that we didn’t have more time to spend here. Book this site - you won’t be sorry!!

Really loved staying at Kathy’s site! The setting was quiet and peaceful and made for the perfect escape on a busy holiday weekend. We loved being able to drop the kayak in the water. There are a couple good spots for tent camping and the site was great for my pup. The porta-John was clean super and—dare I say—cute! Come with bug spray and keep an eye out for ticks (which is true anywhere) but, like other reviewers noted, the gravel helps with the mosquitos. Kathy was so kind and considerate, checking on us due to possible storms in the area. Hoping to come back again soon!
