The Space:
Your campsite is located on a sprawling 32-acre property, ensuring total privacy and a true sense of seclusion. One-third of the land is forested, with the remainder consisting of creekside and pastureland. Our private home is situated on the far end of the property with its own separate entrance, while you’ll have your own driveway and gated entrance.
We are close enough that if you need a cup of sugar or a telephone, we’re here for you—but we won’t intervene in your stay unless invited, such as for a live guitar singalong by the fireside. If you stay up late howling at the moon, or if your dog barks at wildlife late at night, you’re far enough away that we won’t be bothered.
The property fronts a serene creek with truly pristine water. Due to the remoteness of the area, there is no industry or population density to pollute it. It’s perfect for cooling off on a warm day, trying your luck at fishing, or simply enjoying the tranquil sounds of flowing water.
You are literally surrounded by three national forests. Step off your site and directly into miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing.
There are multiple large, level areas perfect for setting up tents or parking self-contained RVs, giving you plenty of room to spread out and make yourself at home.

This is a great spot for mountain bikers and river lovers. So close to snowshoe and affordable makes this an easy decision. Also the wildlife, flowers, and river on the property make this a truly powerful place. There is some traffic and noise from the road but it quiets down through the night and all you can hear is the trickle of the stream.
We have a lovely 20 acre are that has easy to pull up to camp sites and some that take a short walk but are able to camp right near the river bed. We offer camping for all ranges of groups and travelers. We have campsites for tents, cars and vans, big RV's and Trailers, and then group sized sites. There are many remarkable places to see while you're visiting; Cranberry Wilderness area, Watoga State Park, Bear Town State Park, Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park, the Highland Scenic Highway + a little further North up 219 is Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort; a favorite for skiing + snowboarding, mountain biking, music (4848 Festival) + many other outdoor activities!

Lazy River Farm has so much to offer. Tents sites are in a wooded setting, on a beautiful hill, spread out for privacy. Not at the river. Camp sites also have fire rings with wood available for you to use. Campers are welcome to use any wood that's on the ground near or around your site. Camp sites can be accessed with a high clearance 4 wheel drive vehicle or walk up the hill to your site. With easy access down to the river, by walking or driving, you can cool off in the beautiful Cow Pasture River.
Glamping in the Vardo Wagon is another option, with its close proximity to the river and cozy interior. The Gypsy Rose sleeps 2, but can sleep 2 additional guests with a tent.
Paddle boards and kayaks are available for free if you paddling near the farm. (Life jackets are limited but are required, so if you have one bring it) drop in a line to fish, or simply sit by the river and listen to the soft rapids.
Lazy River Farm is a working farm, with lovely Scottish Highland Cattle, pigs, chickens, horses and livestock guardian dogs.. Your welcome to come and pet the animals. Do not feed animals. Do not go into fields or stalls with any of them.

The Space:
Your campsite is located on a sprawling 32-acre property, ensuring total privacy and a true sense of seclusion. One-third of the land is forested, with the remainder consisting of creekside and pastureland. Our private home is situated on the far end of the property with its own separate entrance, while you’ll have your own driveway and gated entrance.
We are close enough that if you need a cup of sugar or a telephone, we’re here for you—but we won’t intervene in your stay unless invited, such as for a live guitar singalong by the fireside. If you stay up late howling at the moon, or if your dog barks at wildlife late at night, you’re far enough away that we won’t be bothered.
The property fronts a serene creek with truly pristine water. Due to the remoteness of the area, there is no industry or population density to pollute it. It’s perfect for cooling off on a warm day, trying your luck at fishing, or simply enjoying the tranquil sounds of flowing water.
You are literally surrounded by three national forests. Step off your site and directly into miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing.
There are multiple large, level areas perfect for setting up tents or parking self-contained RVs, giving you plenty of room to spread out and make yourself at home.
This is a true off-grid experience. Come prepared to disconnect, as there is no phone service, and enjoy the stars free from city light pollution.

With multiple campsites, car camping, and remote primitive sites, there are plenty of options for your next adventure. Located on 600 acres, we have developed the previously used agriculture land into a trail center in hopes of transforming the property from an underutilized farm into a facility that could support local outdoor recreation use and programming. This is a great spot for mountain bikers and river lovers. So close to snowshoe and affordable makes this an easy decision. Also the wildlife, flowers, and river on the property make this a truly powerful place. There is some traffic and noise from the road but it quiets down through the night and all you can hear is the trickle of the stream.
We have a lovely 20 acre are that has easy to pull up to camp sites and some that take a short walk but are able to camp right near the river bed. Welcome to The Trout Camp, aka Fontinalis Farms, a small, family-owned campground nestled beside the Monongahela National Forest on the banks of Big Run and The North Fork River. Lazy River Farm has so much to offer. Tents sites are in a wooded setting, on a beautiful hill, spread out for privacy. Not at the river. Camp sites also have fire rings with wood available for you to use. Campers are welcome to use any wood that's on the ground near or around your site. Camp sites can be accessed with a high clearance 4 wheel drive vehicle or walk up the hill to your site. With easy access down to the river, by walking or driving, you can cool off in the beautiful Cow Pasture River.
Glamping in the Vardo Wagon is another option, with its close proximity to the river and cozy interior. The Gypsy Rose sleeps 2, but can sleep 2 additional guests with a tent.
Paddle boards and kayaks are available for free if you paddling near the farm. (Life jackets are limited but are required, so if you have one bring it) drop in a line to fish, or simply sit by the river and listen to the soft rapids.
Lazy River Farm is a working farm, with lovely Scottish Highland Cattle, pigs, chickens, horses and livestock guardian dogs.. Your welcome to come and pet the animals. Do not feed animals. Do not go into fields or stalls with any of them.

Nice spot right next to the river. Secluded from any other nearby houses and towns (not too far if you need to run into town). Campsites aren’t large and are tightly packed from what I noticed but I stayed in one of the pull up spots closer to the road/river. I also stayed in the winter so we were the only ones there so this wasn’t a problem for us. Firewood is a great deal.

Weekend Trip to Olde Tyme Cabins
The location was perfect! We felt secluded in our little camp and were able to hike up the hillside nearby. We loved the campfire with the lights strung around, and there were roasting sticks in one of the RV cubbies. The hot tub was amazing. We did get rained out of the hot tub, since there is no awning over it, but once the rain stopped, we were able to enjoy again. The master bed was comfortable, and the bunk beds have a curtain to keep lights out for later sleepers. We camped in mid-November and stayed warm and cozy the whole time. Our only complaint was the water. It never quite worked well enough to shower, and washing dishes was frustrating. We did let our hosts know, and they came quickly to work on it, which helped for a short while, but didn't last the duration.

Great camping spot at Site 1, it over looks the valley behind the property is gorgeous to wake up to. As the description says, you definitely need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get up the hill.
It takes someone spotting, but you can navigate through the trees to get your vehicle directly at the site. We arrived in the evening and in the dark it was a challenge.
There is a portapotty/outhouse as far as amenities, but no running water at the site. Bring water with you to avoid a long walk.
