A little oasis in the woods, just minutes from civilization :) Phil was an excellent host, the cabin was cozy and so cute, and I will 100% be coming back! I'd love to try out the bigger campsites sometime too! But the tiny cabin and cute little downtown Duvall might just be my new favorite getaway."

At just 186 square feet, this spot is all yours to enjoy away from the noise of the city in our large and lush backyard. You will have full rein of a private patio to smoke or enjoy meals on our newly built cedar deck, or enjoy a drink in the shared hammock space under our towering Eastern Hemlock tree. Your quiet backyard refuge is newly converted with everything you’ll need for a fun weekend away. We are just two blocks from the bus stop with access to Seattle’s great transit system. This space is close to the airport, close to downtown, and walkable to the home of the The Rat City Roller Derby in White Center. And only two blocks from your door is Westcrest Park, a Greenbelt with trails and a beautiful view of the Seattle skyline. If you feel like staying in, enjoy our Mr and Mrs Pacman games in your “mini arcade” or make use of some of the supplied board games or the sudoku/coloring books available. Relax on an iconic Seattle drag bar’s original “lips couch” and grab a book from our queer library with beer available for purchase in your kitchenette. This is a stand alone structure that is separate from our main house. There is no shower in this dry space, but there is a camping sink that functions like a normal kitchen sink with hot water capacity. The shed has an easy to use composting toilet with clear instructions if you’re a first timer. Also, “Ms Pacman's Backyard Glampsite” is a converted shed, so be ready for some lower ceilings and narrow spaces. The lofted full bed is cozy, so don’t bob your head on the way out! The bed has a six inch memory foam mattress with extra blankets and pillows available. Everything is washed with free and clear laundry detergent for any sensitivities. We provide a small refrigerator, a 2 burner stove with pots and pans for light cooking, coffee making supplies (reusable keurig pods or pour over coffee along with creamers and sugars), wine openers, dishes, and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors. You will be one block away from Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. Less than a mile north, you can explore the West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails. Only two blocks south of the property is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. You’re also walking distance to downtown White Center, which has a microbrewery, a roller skating rink, a gay bar, a plant store, and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants.

The cabin is set in a small cul-d-sac on a quiet wooded lot. It is approximately 5 miles from Mount Rainier National Park and 15 miles from White Pass skiing. The neighborhood is surrounded by Gifford Pinchot National Forest with many hiking trails nearby. The property is at 1500 feet elevation. Enjoy Mount Rainier all year round! This cabin is a great place to getaway and stay after a day of skiing and exploring the outdoors. Although small, it sleeps four comfortably and has all the amenities for your stay. Wi-Fi, TV with free Netflix, AC. Please note, there are three steps leading to the porch entrance of the cabin. Inside, there is a steep set of stairs leading to the bedrooms. Due to the steep stairs, we caution all guest with small children to provide close supervision. One bedroom is private with a queen bed. The other bedroom is in a loft type setting where it is open to the stairway and not considered private. The bathroom is located downstairs next to the kitchen. The cabin is equipped with ductless heating and cooling AC for all season comfort. Guests have access to the entire place. There is one locked closet under the stairs. There is a motion activated floodlight camera on the corner of the house pointing down the driveway. It's for your protection as well as ours when the property sits vacant.
