PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING: The cabin is older and rustic, and we are renovating it over time. There is a very steep/narrow staircase that excesses the second floor, and the twin bed artea is part of the lofty and is not an enclosed bedroom. The living space and kitchen are open concept, and there is seating for 4 at the dining room table and 2 countertop barstools as well. The adorable farmhouse style kitchen has everything you need to cook meals during your stay, including all cooking essentials and basic spices. We also have pancake mix and quick oats for our guests in case you forgot to bring your own breakfast. If you are lucky enough to stay in late summer, you can walk across the street to pick wild blackberries. The living room has a large TV and a nice selection of DVDs to choose from. We also have Starlink for both internet and streaming services. Cell service can be hit or miss depending on provider. The bathroom is on the lower level, as well as the first bedroom which has a queen bed. The 2nd bedroom opens up with a barn door and also has a queen bed as well as beautiful views of the creek and trees. For this reason it is my favorite bedroom! At the bottom of the stairs is the mud room which is a an enclosed patio and is a great place to store recreational equipment or wet/muddy items. It also allows excess to one of the decks which features outdoor seating and a bbq.

Huge views, outdoor sink, cold shower, and outhouse nearby. Gully Vista (request only) hike-in, tent/hammock site, via a narrow trail down into the gully. West Perch – Smaller site with water and power, tucked along the western parcel edge, pull through parking. Closed for construction for future base site of TiPi. Side Step – Closed. Most see tent campers and AWD vans . If you're trailering, and the trailer weighs more than your vehicle, this place is not for you. ✅ What Makes This Place Special: Big south skies—great for moon/stargazing. South of hundreds of acres of state timberlands, A new private link trail connects to the Howell Lake ORV trail network. Trail can be overgrown at first, then opens up to ORV trails. We’ve got firewood— not perfectly dry but it burns. Kindling recommended in wet seasons for starting. Trash-free land. Please keep it clean, you're welcome to burn paper products and I encourage you to buy more paper and less plastic. Please pack out all waste with you. ⚠️ A Few Notes: Steep drops —stay alert, especially at night. 1-mile private drive is bumpy—take it slow please, more so during dust season. Freshly drilled well , but I can't legally recommend drinking since it flows via temporary water setups still. I can fill tanks directly from the well if asked. Incredible location! This sweet cabin is nestled at the base of Mt. Jupiter, directly between Dosewallips beach and the Olympic national Park. There's lots of gorgeous, mossy maples, shaggy cedars, and elk herds roaming free. The Cabin is easily accessible from the road, and has parking available. There's a secluded fire pit behind the cabin with a seasonal stream running by. Its a relaxing place to hang out for a few days, and/or excellent basecamp to explore the amazing forests, mountains, and beaches nearby. Also, there's lots of great foraging to be done (nettles, mushrooms, and oysters; oh my!) GPS LOCATION: When driving to the cabin, your GPS will tell you that 'your destination is on the left'. This is a lie. The cabin will be on the right. There is a metal gate that is closed with a chain but not locked. CABIN LAYOUT AND SLEEPING AMENITIES: The Cabin is just a little guy; only 16'x20'. There is a kitchen, living room, and dining room area, and the bathroom is a separate room - we call it our 'studio cabin'. We have a fold out couch for which we provide linens, pillows, and a comforter. There is also an inflatable mattress that is a tight squeeze, but can allow for four people to sleep (with a little furniture rearranging). There is a deck that is large enough for a two person tent that would also make a four person camp-out comfortable. All linens and towels are stored in the trunk and the bathroom cabinet. There is a 4' round dining room table with four chairs and a small table on the porch with two more chairs. All the cushions for the chairs are in a cabinet under the table inside. ACCESSIBILITY: Unfortunately, the cabin is not wheelchair accessible. There are 5 stairs up to the deck and the bathroom door is only 27" wide. SURROUNDING AREA: There are small trails leading away from the cabin; do not walk down them! They lead to neighboring properties and I cannot guarantee that there won't be neighbors who would be very surprised by a stranger showing up on their land! There are lots of public trails only a few minutes drive in either direction from the property :) STOLEN LAND: This property is on stolen, indigenous land. If you are Coast Salish or Makah, please get in touch with me for a discounted stay.

Weekend Trip to Secluded Forest Yurt

We absolutely loved staying in the yurt it was very spacious with plenty of extra moving around space. The host left us lots of candles and other essentials to use during our stay. The outside firepit, bbq and hammock is a great addition. Although the mosquitoes where out with a vengence we managed with the spray and tiki torches our host also provided. (Understandably so since we had a nice good rain a day before our trip)

Our family had the most incredible stay here! We came with our 9-year-old daughter, and it was such a special experience from beginning to end. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—they were some of the kindest people we’ve ever met. Clare served us beautiful coffee served on an elegant platter, which was such a thoughtful touch. We loved the farm tour and getting to learn about the property, but our daughter’s absolute favorite part was collecting fresh eggs from the chicken coop each morning. Those are memories she’ll never forget. The peaceful setting, genuine hospitality, and attention to detail made this so much more than just a place to stay—it felt like visiting friends. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already talking about coming back. If you’re looking for a unique, relaxing farm stay with amazing hosts, we can’t recommend this place enough!

This place was great! So much to see and explore. The outdoor kitchen area was well setup and stocked with everything you need to cook your meals. My kids loved the games and the big net, which they played on for hours. Overall I'd recommend it to other families for sure.

This is lovelier than pictures can depict. Just the perfect getaway for families or groups of friends. The barn and field are great assets, and we had a lovely night of s’mores. When we left, my son said, “This was not what I expected, but it was so much fun!” Thank you!

We loved our time here! Gary is so kind and welcoming. The baggins inn site was awesome! Our tent was clean and spacious. The shared kitchen was awesome! We had everything we needed and the whole vibe was so chill. Our kids loved running throught the forest and playing all the games that were centrally located. As parents, we felt so relaxed and comfortable. Our kids LOVED their time and asked to go back the moment we got in the car.

Virginia is the best host. What a cute and hidden hideaway. The yurt was massive and the Forest gave us so much to explore. Reception is spotty so plan on disconnecting and enjoying nature. My son and I had great quality time.

I loved staying at the yurt. It truly is secluded and had a beautiful short walk through the forest to get there. Inside the yurt has lots of thoughtful details like lanterns, tea, and extra blankets. The yurt also smelled wonderful, perhaps the type of wood it is made with (?) and was very clean. I have stayed at many unique places and this is one of my absolute favorites.

Cannot recommend this location enough! Gary, the host was very welcoming and maintained the perfect balance of being there to socialize and help us operate the campground while also not intruding. His dog Bacchus was the friendliest camp-dog we've ever met and our kids loved him. There are several camp/glamp locations that share a communal space. All of them are great but from our perspective the Lotus Tent was the best for families. It has its own private campfire, outdoor kitchen, and composting toilet. The tent has a mattress with blankets, a rug, and is seemingly weatherproof/bug proof. It is also the closest site to the main kids play area. I have 2 main tips for anyone who comes: 1: Check in with Gary regarding what camping supplies your location has. We MASSIVELY overpacked given how furnished and stocked the Lotus Tent was. 2: Find a chance to use the outdoor heated shower after dark when the various lights have come on. The experience is truly magical and refreshing. In conclusion we had a wonderful time and plan on making this a yearly visit. Thank you Gary and staff!

Loved this quiet oasis, the trees surrounding the a-frame shaded from the hot summer sun, and a very quick walk to the river allowed for a quick dip and enjoying the sunshine. The a frame was so cozy at night, definitely a highlight! Clean outhouse just behind the a frame was very convenient. Would definitely return!

Absolutely charming location and quite private. Virginia is friendly and welcoming and so thoughtful in all the touches she adds to the Yurt and property. It was so much nicer than we even expected. She had candles inside and out, string lights and tiki torches. Firewood and kindling were stacked and ready for use. Such considerate touches! We would love to visit again soon!

The Wanderbus experience was one of my favorite parts of my PNW adventure. It was our last stay before going home after 4 days of hiking and it was the perfect end to our trip. The bed itself was extremely comfortable and the vibes were ‘chefs kiss’. The optional private hot tub was amazing and a must for anyone.. Gary provides essential oils you can add to your water for extra relaxation. Perfect for the sore muscles. I was overwhelmed by how much love Gary put into his entire property. From the compostable toilet & the fully equipped outdoor kitchen to the creative art, whimsical decor and the property pets.. I wish we could’ve stayed a bit longer. Maybe silly but my favorite part of the camp experience was the outdoor shower in the morning. It was so refreshing - spacious, fresh air, hot water & good water pressure. He also provides plenty of body wash/shampoo options. His dogs were super sweet and fun to play with. We also got to pet the bunnies and walk the trail to find a garden & chickens. Very cool place and I will recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Thanks for your hospitality Gary and for sharing your space with us.
