There is no outdoor music at any time. Quiet hours are 8 pm to 10 am.
There is no picnic table or any amenities, but you can fill up water at our barn if needed.
DO NOT USE THE WOODS AS A BATHROOM. It is necessary to bring your own latrine.
The water at (shallower) Dockton Park (about a 6 min drive away) gets warm from swimming in summer if you prefer it to 54 degree deep water here!
Please clean up after your pet. Dogs must be leashed AT ALL TIMES in the field. If no one is around at the beach, they can be off leash, but leash up if anyone approaches until they pass. Please never leave your dog unattended outside where barking will disturb the peace.

Manchester State Park features a beach, sand dunes, and flat grasslands, with nearly 18,000 feet of ocean frontage. The beach line curves gently to form a "catch basin" for sea debris, which accounts for the volume of driftwood found here. Five miles of gentle, sandy beach stretches southward towards the Point Arena Lighthouse.
One of the main attractions is the excellent steelhead fishing in the park’s two streams, Brush Creek and Alder Creek. The park features a variety of coastal wildflowers, including sea pinks, poppies, lupines, baby blue eyes and blue irises. The park provides habitat for tundra swans. The San Andreas Fault runs into the sea at the park.
The park takes its name from the village of Manchester, which is located in Mendocino County on Coast Highway 1 about seven miles north of Point Arena.

These tent sites are about a 300ft walk from the parking lot, and vehicles can not access the sites. Each site offers a picnic table and fire pit.

There is a communal central deck for camper's use, with a sink, propane stove, some cooking utensils, power outlet and a hose bib. A communal port-a-potty is available to campers.
The working farm fields are not open to campers, but can be admired as a backdrop. Wave hi to any farmers you see out there working! A You-Pick flower patch and farm stand at the entrance of the property are open for frolicking, picture-taking and flower-picking seasonally.
You'll see bald eagles, hear owls and watch deer pass through your camp. But you are only about a 5-10 min walk from town! This does mean you'll often hear music from events on weekend evenings, and plane traffic does fly overhead. Vashon is quiet and full of nature, but you're not out in the middle of nowhere! We are a one hundred year old family owned farm with an organic garden, Permaculture garden, an apiary, and Christmas trees on six acres. We have Horseshoes, Tether ball, Disk Golf, Corn Hole and a small library for you to enjoy. Early spring the frogs go crazy later followed by the sounds of nesting birds. Fall is the season for migrating birds that rest at the ponds next door. August is the time to fill up on blackberries. There are individual campsites with a barbecue and picnic table and a shared fire pit. The fire pit didn't see much use last two years because of the fire danger so we have moved it to an open area that will be safer and hopefully be open longer, there is also an area at each campsite if you want to bring a propane fire ring (or we will have some for rent). You can star gaze from the fields and the major constellations can be seen on a dark night. We are becoming increasingly suburban and there is some road noise that can be heard and even with farms on three sides of us, you still might hear our neighbors in the distance. Campsites one and four are across the road from each other and campsites two and three are adjacent to each other, perfect if you have another family traveling with you. The Washington State Fair is 3.9 miles/ 13 minutes away, Tacoma Dome 7.5 miles/ 18 minutes, Point Defiance Park Zoo and Aquarium 19 miles/ 30 minutes and Wild Waves water park is 15 miles/ 26 minutes away. There is a gallery of wild life photography taken on the farm displayed in the outhouse. Eagles, hawks and Ospreys are frequent visitors to our property.

We almost don’t want to leave a review because this place feels like a secret getaway we selfishly want to keep to ourselves… but it’s too good not to share. This was our third stay here with our dog, and somehow each trip has been even better than the last. He absolutely loves the open space to roam, nap in the grass, and explore, and we love how peaceful and tucked-away everything feels while still being incredibly convenient.
You get the best of both worlds here: quiet countryside vibes with plenty of sun and shade, plus downtown restaurants and coffee shops are only about a 10-minute walk (or a super quick 3-minute drive). It feels remote without actually being remote.
Everything is thoughtfully maintained, the bathroom is always clean, the grounds are beautiful, and the kitchen/deck setup honestly pushes this into glamping territory if you want it to. Morning coffee under the trees, campfires at night, and wide open skies made it hard to leave.
If you’re looking for a dog-friendly spot that feels peaceful, cozy, and just a little magical, this is it. We’ll definitely be back again… and probably still debating whether we should keep telling people about it.

There was a lot of good things about this place. One, I was able to stay relatively far from most others, making it a little more private than a state park camp. The kitchen/freezer/fridge that is open for use was super helpful. I still cooked at camp and used a cooler, but doing dishes was great. The big field where we camped was soft, and drained well. The lawn was so nice, and great for kids to just run around. Lots of dogs here for my dog to interact with. There was a trail nearby that you could walk. This place was only 10 minutes from town. The hosts were very communicative, and the price was great. One thing that was not great, was that there was only one fire pit. I had thought there would be the ability to have one at our camp. One suggestion I would have, is to make the bathrooms accessible from outside the barn. It was a bit awkward to go through the barn to go to the bathroom. There was 2 women who basically lived in the common space, sitting right outside the bathrooms, and so you walk past them a dozen times a day when going to the bathroom, taking kids to the bathroom, or taking a shower. Felt like it was their house that I was using to go to the bathroom.

Our second time here and so thankful for Brittany sharing this amazing spot. One of our pups is severely anxious so we chose to book both the rv and tent site to get the extra privacy. That said, the sites are far enough that if you don’t have an anxious pup you would still feel a sense of privacy. The access to the cedar river trail is awesome and the fire pits are perfect. Super quiet, felt very safe and enjoyed the star gazing at night. Thanks again!!
