Weekend Trip to Pipe Lake Cabin
The cabin was larger than I expected! You enter into a large room with the main bed (bedding included), pullout couch, armchair and fireplace. Then there is the kitchen area with a good size dining table. Bathroom is right off the kitchen. No shower but that didn't bother us. Basic amenities for the kitchen is all provided and there are plenty of extra blankets. Just a PSA, your door code will be sent 30 minutes before the check in, we found ourselves worrying as the time got closer and closer!

Weekend Trip to Pipe Lake Cabin
Perfect for the first stormy weekend of Fall. Lots of reading, listening to the rain & hail! We did get a little sun & got a bit of fishing in. Wonderful & close views of an eagle, sitting right in a tree off the deck.
Pro tip: Shut the door between main room and kitchen. It makes the heater much more efficient. Can't wait to get back in Spring. Charming and peaceful.

As a solo female RVer, I’m always looking for a safe spot to park and this private land tucked back in the woods was perfect for a three day stay on Whidbey. The bonus access to a kitchen, indoor bathroom and shower was great! Ryan, the host when I was there, was very friendly and helpful. And having the house lights on when I arrived (much later than I planned and after dark!) was most helpful to be able to quickly get the RV settled for the first night. I couldn’t quite find a level spot, but had I spent a bit more time and worked with my tire blocks I’m sure I could have figured it out. The turnaround was tight but doable with a 19 ft trailer and a 15 ft SUV but some longer rigs might have to do some fancy turns to get out. Overall, great value! Thanks for hosting on Hipcamp!

I stayed one night at Flamingo Ridge to organize my gear and prep for future car camping trips—and it was just what I needed. As an older woman traveling solo, I appreciated the quiet woods and the sense of safety and welcome.
Ryan, my host, was incredibly helpful. The parking area was a bit uneven for my car “Sparky,” but he patiently helped me find the best spot. I was also greeted by Wendy and Peter—two exuberant German poodle puppies who added a delightful touch of joy to the experience.
There’s a communal kitchen and bathroom, both clean and functional, with clear rules and information posted near the entrance. It’s not fancy, but it’s well thought out and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
If you’re looking for a peaceful place to reset, test your gear, or just enjoy the forest (with a few tail wags thrown in), Flamingo Ridge is a great choice. I left feeling more prepared and more relaxed than when I arrived.

I loved my visit to the Harstine Hoopla! There weren’t any other visitors during my stay, so me and my two dogs had a very quiet, pleasant visit. The access to the beach a big reason I chose this spot, and it was perfect! They’ve got a wonderful property, I might just have to visit again.

Weekend Trip to The Hoopla
Quiet place easy to find. Great tent and bed. Enjoyed not have to put up our tent. Very nice hosts. Access to the beach very steep and a little dicy using ropes to get threw one place. But we did it!

The campsite (#4) was secluded and right next to a beautiful path that led to the ocean. The kids had a great time making structures with sticks. Great variety of shade and sun, which in the night offered great night sky views. There was even a place to hang our hammocks. The rooster could use a lesson in evaluating the brightness of the sky before he sounds off, but we knew what we were getting into with chickens nearby. :)

It was a cozy little cabin with a beautiful dock. The water was clear and perfect. Lot’s of curious little sunfish and perch off the dock. The deck was spacious for two people. We’d love to go back again.

Beautiful place to stay! The backyard is so so special and the house itself was very comfortable and cozy. The hosts were great, I had a bit of a special request and they were so kind and flexible! They left some treats for us and even grabbed a little vegan treat for me:) the outdoor tubs were absolutely incredible!! I would absolutely love to stay here again!

Laurenthia is a great host, very welcoming and inclusive with all her guests. There are several different ways to camp at Flamingo Ridge and my stay there was very comfortable. I will certainly check back with Laurenthia the next time I'm in the area and highly recommend Flamingo Ridge as a quiet, beautiful, friendly place to camp.

My husband & I really enjoyed camping here with very quiet atmosphere, forested landscape with a few walking paths & a beach trail with some overgrowth. The strings of lights were a real plus lighting up the path to the portapotty that has a sink/soap next to it. Quiet roads to bicycle on midweek. Hosts were friendly & easy to talk to.

This place is an absolute dream. Amazing people, secluded location, fun chickens running around adding too the vibe. The place feels massive. Great trails, beautiful views, and such a strong, beautiful community involved in keeping a clean, safe space for everyone. LGBTQIA+ friendly. Clean porta potties, fresh well water readily available. Rainbow lights strung everywhere and fun, small details that make the place so fun!

Lezli has thought of everything you could possibly need or want at her amazing place. We felt so pampered and relaxed during our stay. The place is immaculate and everywhere you turn is an unexpected surprise in the special details she has thought of. The view is spectacular, beds comfortable and cozy, shower was great, everyone loved the snack bar, and the outdoor kitchen makes preparing meals easy and was so well stocked. It was hard to leave and we can’t wait to return!
