Tenino, the area we are in is where the First Nations People used as the Gathering Grounds. The Europeans when they came with their railroad chose to continue that tradition. Tenino is ground zero for the measurement of where one is on the railroad. We fell in love with our farm with its much untouched acres to create a place where people can gather and reconnect with life's natural beauty.
We are certified organic, Salmon Safe certified, and pesticide free. Dragons' Gate Gardens is home to many giant crystals and here their beauty works delightfully with the land.

There is a giant crystal housed in a gazebo that overlooks the surrounding fields and woods. Time to meditate with the giant crystal in the gazebo can be booked with Kathleen for a fee of $55.
We are wild and woolly. We provide a place to experience nature as it simply is. We privilege pollinators above human aesthetics.
Wildflowers abound, including various dandelions of which many are edible and healing plants.

Welcome, to the Meadery, we are a working winery with several other interests to investigate as well. Come learn about making Mead. We have an annual cider press in late September or early October as well.
Want to learn how to Roast your own coffee bean? Or maybe you are competitive and want to race 132 or 124 slot cars on a Carrera 124 Digital Track. There is also a nice walk in the woods, and if it is hot you can float down the Deschutes River that is very close by.
Pitch your tent in a few areas you pick, there are Mountain Bike and Little kid ATV trails around the property as well. For more extensive ATV trails Capital Forest is about 30 minutes away. If you have a Weyerhaeuser permit for the area near me the gate is 2.5 miles away. There is a winery on site and an outside tasting area with a fire pit. Each camp site also has their own fire pits. Two bathrooms with showers. There are powered and non-powered RV sites. Water is available at the water station but not directly at the camp sites.
We are pet friendly. We offer firewood for sale on site, camp fires permitted outside of a burn ban.
We do not provide garbage service, we expect everyone to carry out what they bring in.
Guests love staying here: "Dean's acreage is a dream! We stayed there in our motorhome and absolutely loved it. We have two dogs and they are picky about making friends but adored Deans dogs. They are the sweetest and make the camping even more enjoyable.
Dean was kind enough to show us his Meadery and the property so we felt comfortable exploring and walking around. We would definitely recommend it for other campers whether you have an RV, tent, van, etc. For reference we comfortably parked our 31 ft motorhome and we were able to hookup to electricity (only available in one spot so inquire with dean!). There is a shower and toilet available for use in a separate building from his home in the backyard."

Kristy was an awesome host and there was one other group up by the rv pad, but we hardly saw them. Dogs were very friendly and Kristy let us use a propane fire-pit to provide warmth and a fire for our tent site. The bathrooms were clean and there was some water by our site, but we did not use it.
The camp, for the tent site… we arrived and she drove us all over her property and told us to just choose where we wanted to camp. We chose to stay in back of the horse area. While we could see the house from there, we didn’t care and if you want to move back in the woods further, there are spots back there too that would provide more privacy if you need that. This is a great site and a one of a kind experience being that close to the horses."

Once a working farm, Grey Owl Hollow sat fallow for over 20 years.
In 2017, Seth left the corporate world and he and Yvonne dedicated themselves to the stewardship of this charming locale.
The densely planted lumber forest was trimmed and thinned, allowing deer and other wildlife migration while providing shady campsites for nature lovers.
Seth has begun planting a redwood grove in the high meadow and Yvonne is adding hazelnut and walnut trees to the 80-year-old apple orchard.
Grey Owl Hollow is in trust and is intended to remain a nature sanctuary for future generations. Our 20 acre piece of heaven includes a fir tree forest for cool camping in the heat of summer. Black-tailed Columbian deer are regular visitors, while coyotes, owls, and frogs may serenade you in the evening.
We are firm believers in the value of time in the woods as a balm for physical, psychological, and emotional distress. We fell in love with this house and land when we purchased it in 2009 with the intention of starting an alpaca ranch. We worked for several years to improve the land, pulling acres and acres of Scotch Broom. We now are home to La Vida Alpaca, a herd of about 40 alpacas, and Tahoma Vista Fiber Mill, a custom artisan mill. Meet the alpacas, tour the mill and shop in our farm boutique during your stay. You can also take a fiber arts class while you're here. We can customize one for you.
We have great views of Mt. Rainier from many sites on our property. We have a mix of wooded and prairie areas, and cute and friendly alpacas grazing nearby. Note: Site #4 is only available for tent camping. Please book Sites 1-3 if you are have a trailer or RV.

Guests love staying with us: "What a fun and unique trip for our family! Jean and David are such a hardworking and nice couple. We had a great time learning about alpacas. We did the tour and it was really interesting to learn about how the yarn and felt is made. The little shop is cute too and of course we had to grab some souvenirs :) Their dog Snowflake is such a sweetheart and was so kind to our 4.5 year old and rambunctious 2 year old. So neat to have the alpacas roaming around the property. Lots of open spaces for our children to run around on. Definitely recommend!"

Absolutely love Tony’s Campground! 2 girlfriends and I are on a ladies camping trip and started with 4 nights at Tony’s. It’s a nice, large, private spot with green grass for the dog to run around and us to sit under trees and read, chat, chill, etc. The gazebo provided a shady place to hang out and play games. The amenities are great. It was really nice to have electricity and water, as well as a portapotty. Overall a dreamy site! Would definitely love to come back.

I highly recommend giving this place a try, it was absolutely beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. The owners were so friendly, kind, helpful, and understanding. It was our first time staying out there so we were a lil lost in trying to figure out where we needed to go but the guy was absolutely awesome. It really was such a great experience for us staying out there. Thank you so much for all your help and for giving us the opportunity to get to stay there and experience a perfect sort of peacefulness and really enjoyed being there so much ☺️ if anyone is looking for a beautiful, peaceful place to recharge and enjoy time out in nature away from the craziness and business of the cities and people, this place is a for sure a sanctuary healing sort of space, I definitely recommend this place. This was our second annual overnight trip to Grey Owl Hollow! As always, Seth & Yvonne are always so welcoming, and their property is beautiful.
For group camp sites, I don't think you can get any better. Electricity in the main camp, sink and running potable water, and plenty of room for several large tents. A noticeable upgrade was the automatic lights in the bathroom! This made going to the bathroom in the evening much easier.
Overall, we love Grey Owl Hollow and can't wait to come back next year!

We had a great time camping here. Nelda set up some tables and chairs for us which were a huge help when cooking and managing our gear. There was a lot of wood around the site and she had created a little tent bed out of wood chips! The site is a well cleared space in the trees which had plenty of room for our 10 person tent and a gap for the firepit. It's not listed but she also had a camp toilet for us which was helpful. There is one good spot and maybe a second decent spot for hanging a hammock. We didn't have any issues with animals. And the property was able ro accompdate our two cars without any fuss or getting in other campers' way. Over all this site was a great compromise, offering wide spaces out on country roads while still having a trickle of cell service and access to town!

My wife, dog and I loved tent camping at this spot. We had plenty of room for our 1 tent and car in the main area of the site. The dog loved being able to run around off leash and we felt like we had a ton of privacy with all of the large surrounding trees and farmland. There was access to a lazily floating river ~200 yards from camp through some undergrowth that made it tricky to get to the river.
Ashley was very communicative and quick to respond to any questions we had.
The one downside is that the site is pretty close to an active train line that has a train once/hour during the day and a couple times during the night. It didn't bother us as we live close to an airport, but it could be an issue for others.

I've stayed at this Hipcamp before so I already knew that Scott was a kind and gracious host. This time we stayed in site 3 and it was also a great time! The site fit my friend's camper van and my tent. Our dogs were able to run around for a little while off leash because there were no other campers for part of the time. That was also an amazing perk of staying here. The sites are a decent amount of space apart, the camping section is fenced in, and there's a walking path to get around. We thoroughly enjoyed it! New since last time I stayed there was an outdoor shower, and a cabin that I hope to stay in sometime in the future! Again, there were some spectacular sunsets and quiet starry nights. Would definitely recommend!
