RV camping near Bellevue guide

Overview

Across Lake Washington from Seattle, the city of Bellevue is decidedly urban, with limited RV opportunities beyond a smattering of urban RV parks. Fortunately, you won't need to drive far to snag a spot at an RV-friendly Hipcamp, as there are lots of private landowners who welcome RV adventurers just outside in town, both in Redmond to the north and slightly further inland in the lushly forested Snoqualmie Valley. Recreation activities abound in the area, from fishing and boating on Lake Sammamish and Lake Washington to hanging out on the beaches of the lake's only island—Lake Mercer—or the shorefront expanses in the nearby community of Kirkland. If you prefer to stay on dry land, you’ll find excellent hiking and wildlife-spotting opportunities in Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park. Bellevue is also a fantastic base for wine lovers, as Washington’s celebrated wine community of Woodinville is only a short drive away.
