We have cleared two of the cedar groves on the south side, and they are perfect campsites. The sites are 75'-100' apart, more private than a state park, but close enough that a bigger group would feel close. Portable Toilet is on site 100' from the Big Cedar site. May through October Cedar Hallow- Our original campsite, sports a hammock, a picnic table, a fire pit, a good area for 2 tents, probably 6 people. The site has huge cedar trees all around so it's filtered sunlight most of the day, & warm in the summer! Big Cedar- Our bigger site. Equipped with a fire pit, a picnic table, hammock, and space for 3-4 tents, probably 12 people comfortably. There is a dirt road that circles the property, it's great for walks and animal viewing but can get muddy in the rain so be prepared. Parking is a gravel lot directly across the little dirt road from the sites. Unload at the site then move to parking as to not block the road. Trucks with campers can pull tight to a site but don't pull into a site please, obey standard fallen tree limb boundaries. I keep a large water tote on-site with hose water for washing dishes or boiling.

Lots of native flora can be identified with your plant identification app or book. The beach is about a mile away where you can hunt for sea glass and enjoy the waves or build yourself a shelter out of driftwood. The mostly flat gravel road can accommodate any size RV. 10 minutes to Coupeville, Greenbank Farm, Ebey's Landing, Port Townsend Ferry, and Patmore Pit Dog Park. 20 minutes to Freeland 25 minutes to Oak Harbor 30 minutes to the Clinton-Mukilteo Ferry 35 minutes to Deception Pass What you will need to bring: - firewood; apologies but I am unable to continue providing firewood. - self-contained RV, camper van, motorhome, or camping gear - water - grill or rack for fire pit - camp chairs/table - mosquito repellent - flashlights - recreation equipment Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash and in the presence of the owner at all times. Power (30A/20A), water hookup, comfy campsite chairs, picnic table and fire-ring/cooking grate (check for Jefferson County burn-ban). No wi-fi, but cell phone reception is typically very good. Eastern part of Olympic Peninsula has many great trails in the Olympic National Park (35 minutes away). Also, local trails in Port Ludlow less than 10 minutes away. Easy access to Sequim, John Wayne Marina (with large boat launch), Port Angeles and Port Townsend as well as the Olympic Discovery Trail for a great bike riding adventure IMPORTANT NOTES: • For your safety, Hipcamp requires background checks for all Hosts. • For our safety, Hipcamp requires Hipcamper profiles include renter’s real full name. The site was great, exactly what we needed visiting family in the area. It was overcast and drizzeling when we pulled in but the next morning the skies parted and what an amazing view of Mt. Baker and Hood Canal. We are at the longest recommended length for the site - a 30 ft, 5th wheel. Getting in was no problem. Getting out took some basic experience maneuvering the turn. All in all, it's a great site. Absolutely recommend.

Such a great experience! This is the perfect Hipcamp for those that want a hub for surrounding activities! I enjoyed the site and the host was very appropriately communicative. The description of the place is perfectly honest. Expect a visit from fluffy dogs and lots of farm and wilderness sounds. I heard a barred owl when I first arrived. Tasty water and the sauna and bathroom/shower is perfect!

The excellent: - Host was super nice and very easy to get a hold of - Pad sites are level and easy to find - Trail to sites is well-maintained and well-marked - Storage boxes at each campsite - Forest was absolutely gorgeous Do note: - Not as remote as I was expecting. You can see a house from the sites and hear a good bit of road noise. (However, it was pretty peaceful at night) - Pad sites are pretty small- my 4 person was a snug fit. Anything bigger would definitely not fit, and if your tent needs guylines staked into the ground, this is not the site for you (though you could probably get away with tying off to trees) - Parking is a bit tight. I don't think anything bigger than a standard SUV (think dodge Durango, Ford Edge, etc) would fit without sticking out into the road some. I was driving a Pontiac G6 and it was a comfortable size for that. All in all? I would book again quite happily and very much enjoyed camping here.

Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm

Valhalla tree farm is beautiful and so serene. The different birds calling and talking through the sounds of trees moving in high winds, so good! The pup and I went exploring through the property and trails feeling like we were fully in Ferngully. Our shelter camp site on Huckleberry Hill was perfect. Dave clearly puts a lot of thought and care into providing the best experience. Not only was he communicative and responsive, but he was also accommodating. Thanks to the shelter at our site, we didn’t drown in the torrential downpour! This property is highly rated, the pup and I agree 💯

The convenient location near shops, a gas station, and an outlet also adds to the overall experience. The host was amazing and the place was incredible!

The Ranger, ha ha inside joke. The GM was extremely helpful on finding the discovery Trail! He knew my first name, but I do not know his. This RV park has only been open for 2 1/2 months. What a wonderful facility. Very clean and well kept. Deer visited our campsite this morning! What a joy. Private individual shower/bathrooms. The whole facility is immaculate. It definitely checked all the boxes quite safe clean and friendly. Thank you so much! You made our visit to the Pacific Northwest a complete joy.

What a lovely experience! Beth was so communicative and answered our questions. The yurt had a super cozy bed! You can stay here even if it’s chilly - the evenings were cold BUT the accessible campfire and super warm and cozy bed kept us warm! It is absolutely feasible in chillier weather, just be prepared! Her husband helped us out with some firewood as we hadn’t had a chance to buy any and he also kindly shared some homegrown apples with us on our way out! Clean bathroom, peaceful environment, and 2 lovely dogs! Will absolutely stay again when we find ourselves in the area. Thanks! :)

This spot is amazing! The view was fantastic with the lake and valley below holding our attention all day and evening. It rained almost the entire time, but sitting out under our canopy watching the rain come down was a wonderful way to pass the time. And all this, while only being five minutes from one of the best dive bars in Washington. Evelyn's has great food, interesting people and great service. Thanks Zack for the great spot, we will be back.

Weekend Trip to Hobson Meadows

Two of us stayed here for one night. We live in Seattle and it was a perfect place to stay after spending the day in Bellingham. We arrived after sunset and our host quickly came outside to help guide us to our yurt, which was so appreciated. It was raining on and off throughout our stay, but we stayed dry and the bed was unexpectedly comfortable. The only suggestion I have is to add another large rug inside for warmth and coziness. We’ll be back again, hopefully for longer!
