We are a Nature Retreat bordering Nature Conservancy land along a tributary and up and down the Rappahannock River. You can hike along the stream down to the river and up and down the river. You can fish and float the river. There are no trails so a moderate level of fitness and comfort in the forest is needed. You can follow the water ways but it is wilderness. Camping there is primitive but available or you can camp or glamp at Earthwalk Ways Retreat. We are also adjacent to a 50 acre farm on the other side of the creek that is available for hiking. There is a reservoir nearby as well. We are in the midst of the suburbs not far from Fredericksburg, which has some great historic and community places of interest. Our facilities are private and we only rent to one or 2 guests at a time. You can glamp in a trailer, or car camp in a nice campground with power and water or you can go primitive and pack in. All spaces include access to our classical 11 circuit labyrinth and backyard gardens where you can enjoy zen rock garden and other contemplative nature crafts. There are some great extra's here as well including an outdoor jacuzzi and indoor infrared sauna and massage chair. These spa features are another great way to get your zen on here. I offer Forest Bathing and individual retreat support sessions, an quarterly sweat lodge and also vision quest support if people would like to experience a solo nature immersion feast.

Weekend Trip to Sistermoon Farm

My daughter and I stayed for a mother-daughter birthday weekend, and the campsite was perfect! It is very secluded and private and we were able to completely relax and just be in the moment. Maria left us a basketful of such thoughtful items to make the stay just that much better! We were only about 15 minutes from Harpers Ferry, so we were easily able to make a day of that and come back to relax by the fire. The second night, we had some weather come in, but the canvas tent kept the wind and rain out and we stayed perfectly nice and dry and cozy and were reading by lamplight (which was so fun)! I would absolutely visit again, and highly recommend! Thank you Maria! It was amazing!!

Lived the glamping experience. Jeremy and Remy have the place ready keeping all needs of customers in mind right from firewood to morning coffee. Yummy Breakfast is available upon request also. They clearly work very hard to make this happen. The farm is very beautiful also. Nearby is George Washington park and Shenandoah is also accessible.

This campsite is awesome. The yerts were clean and spacious and sitting right near the river as expected. The bath house opened up for the first time this weekend and they were done very nicely, great for longer stays. The train did come through a couple times the first night and will wake you up for sure, but it adds to the charm! Would highly recommend this site for a weekend get away or even longer!

Weekend Trip to Our Farm in Strasburg, VA

I stayed at this farm for a unique getaway and booked the Half Dome, and right from the start you can tell there is real care put into the experience. The dome itself was spotless, thoughtfully set up, and had that perfect mix of rustic feel with comfort. You can tell the hosts pay attention to the little things, and that goes a long way. That said, the bed placement was the one miss for me. It blocked what should have been one of the best features the view. It was a bit of a letdown not being able to fully enjoy that from inside, especially in a space designed around the outdoors. During the day, the dome does warm up pretty quickly. There are ventilation portals that help with airflow, but on a hotter day you will definitely feel it. It was manageable, just something to plan around if you are staying in warmer weather. We took a look inside the Fall Dome while we were there, and honestly, that would be my next booking without hesitation. It is noticeably larger and feels more like a suite than a tent, giving you more space to relax and spread out. Breakfast was a highlight. The popovers and scones were excellent, and the coffee was clearly crafted with care. It felt like a small but meaningful touch that elevated the whole stay. And then there was the real star of the show the family dog. Friendly, comforting, and exactly what we needed since we had to leave our own pups at home. That connection added something special you just do not get at most places.

Visited the Big Dipper on a friend's recommendation and it did not disappoint! We came with our two young kids and were joined with another group that also had little ones. Entire spread is perfect for relaxation and the nearby area offered plenty to explore. We thoroughly enjoyed the pond on the property and the brewery/winery across the street made for the perfect pit stop on the way back from a day of hiking. Will definitely be back! Great spot just outside of Harper's Ferry! Matt was awesome and very accommodating (he definitely helped me with a few things I forgot to bring). Fun little cabin with windows showing off all the scenery. He even has coffee in there which is always important. I would absolutely stay here again!

Our time there was nice & peaceful. The cabin was well stocked, comfortable, & warm. The restroom facility was comfortable to use, particularly with the heater in there! The resident black cats were a welcoming addition as well - they love to play and snuggle, and appear to be well fed lol. The access to firewood was great as well, though inventory was low. The owner was very responsive and kind. 10/10 would stay again!

Our group of seven really enjoyed staying at the lodge in the middle of winter when the property was covered with snow. We loved hiking around the Rolling Ridge property and trying to identify all of the animal prints on the snow. Hearing and seeing a variety of woodpeckers was a highlight. The fireplace gathering area was my favorite part of the lodge. It was a wonderful space to visit, make music, and play games. Wifi was easy to use and reliable. The road and parking area were plowed well for easy access to the lodge. We plan to return!
