There is one big fire ring for cooking and/or bonfires, along with a large stationary stand up charcoal camp grill. There is also a small communal shed down at camp that contains extra camping supplies, etc.. feel free to use use and put back and or/ contribute to it! :) This spot is close by to Berkeley Springs, Paw Paw Tunnel, Cacapon State Park, and other nature preserves. More hiking, biking, restaurants, spas, antiquing- all within a beautiful 20 minute drive if you wish to venture out. There is a cabin on the property. I will more often be home than not, I will communicate with you about that around your stay. Sometimes I"ll come down to the river frontage if I drop in for a float .Also, we all get around on four wheelers and UTV's. So you will hear them from time to time. If I am home, please feel free to come up if you have any concerns/questions or to say hi! :) *Please note, you can normally get to this site without a 4 wheel drive vehicle. However, when the river is high it will sometimes flood the low water bridge where it crosses the Cacapon. Get away from it all and relax in nature. *NEW* We've just put in a heating and AC unit in the tent for a more comfortable stay. We have rolling pasture, old wood forest, streams and two ponds on our property. Beautiful tranquil views everywhere. We have a small pond with all kinds of frogs, spring peepers. We also have a larger pond that has catch and release fishing. Lots of hiking trails in the area with spectacular views. There is a country store here in Fort Valley with gas and a deli.

Weekend Trip to Our Farm in Strasburg, VA

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Full Moon dome. 2 adults and 3 large dogs had PLENTY of space both inside and outside to rest and relax. We LOED watching the sheep outside the large dome window while drinking coffee in the mornings (French press provided!). There was plenty of firewood for the firepit and a propane grill nearby - we had such a peaceful experience. Highly recommend ordering some popovers and banana nut w/ chocolate chip muffins! We ordered the night before and Remy had them made and packaged in a wonderful picnic basket by 08300 the next morning! And while you're there, pick up some fresh grass-fed steak for grilling bringing home. Directions: site navigation was very easy. Custom road, parking, and site signs made it very easy to find the dome at night, All linens for both bed and futon are provided so we didn't need to worry about packing bedding/pillows etc Traveled in early November and didn't have any issues with bugs like mosquitoes or ticks. Compost toilet in the dome was such a luxury and easy to use. Tips/tricks: bring a bucket or bowl for gray water. You'll need a way to wash plates/utensils, french press, hands etc.

The place was absolutely spotless, not even a spec of dust anywhere to be found. There were so many amenities that we did not get around to using them all. The host was extremely affable and respectful , which made for a very pleasant atmosphere. The detailed guide with pictures about all the nearby attractions was a very useful and heartfelt touch, my sincere thanks to Steve's wife. My expectations were not just met but exceeded in all departments so, I would rate my experience more than 5 stars. I hope to come back soon to further explore the trails.

The view and location was everything we were looking for when visiting luray caverns. We actually did a cold plunge in the river. It was awesome. We booked another night just because we wanted to enjoy the scenery and tranquility. The hosts were responsive. The only thing I will say is me and my girlfriend were unable to take a decent shower in the shower rooms because after a minute or so of the water running. It began to smell like sewage. So after the first night we didn’t shower or brush our teeth or anything inside the bathrooms/showers. It was a really horrible putrid smell anytime we tried to shower.

My husband, daughter, and I stayed here over the weekend. The location was peaceful and absolutely gorgeous with the autumn leaves. The cabin was cozy, and the accommodations were pleasant. The bathhouse was well kept, clean, and maintained. We hung out with our cabin neighbors over a bonfire, and the whole experience was memorable. We will definitly be coming here again.
