We live on 52 wooded acres in a natural area surrounded by lakes and ponds just 14 miles north of Montpelier VT. We are located on the Green Mountain Gravel Growler bike packing trail and 7 miles south of the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. We have lots of hiking , biking, boating and swimming opportunities nearby. Our amenity's include a bath house with two flush toilets and a hot shower. We also have a washer and dryer available for our campers. We have two 30 amp RV sites with full hook ups and 4 tent/small RV non electric sites. We are 100% solar powered and have good WIFI but no cell service. We cater to small quiet groups who can enjoy our peaceful setting. If your are bike packing and our sites are booked just text or stop in we will accommodate you. Weekend Trip to Woodbury Meadows

Jon was most accommodating and a wealth of local information. He loaned us an electric heater for our camper so we didn't have to use the noisy one installed. The driveway was a bit daunting for backing up but we did it without too much effort. There's a great hike with waterfalls on the property and a cute cafe close by with good food and live music. The bathrooms were the cleanest and nicest I have seen camping! We will definitely return!

Weekend Trip to Rooted Acres Farm

We had such a lovely stay here! The host was incredibly responsive to all our questions, and the cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It came with a portable heater inside that kept us warm at night (just remember to turn on the gas outside first!). Without proper winter clothing, it might be a bit chilly to stay here during the colder months, but we went toward the end of October and it was still perfect! And the hot tub!! Such a clever and wonderful addition! Just a heads up: you’ll need to build a strong fire to get it hot within about 3 hours, and you’ll likely want to make two fires - one for the tub and another to sit back and enjoy. Be sure to bring lanterns, as it gets dark pretty quickly once the sun sets. Even though we had cloudy skies, we could tell that on a clear night the stargazing would be incredible. The cabin is well-equipped with dishes and running water for light cooking, brushing teeth, etc. There’s also a small convenience store about 8 minutes away on the main road. Overall, we would highly recommend this place. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning!

Betsy was wonderful! We got a little lost getting there and it was getting dark, but she came right over to our campsite when we arrived to welcome us and deliver the wood we bought. I highly recommend buying some wood because she even brings kindling, newspaper & a fire starter in order to make a lovely campfire under the stars! I highly recommend Betsey’s place!

An amazing stay at a beautiful property! It was a little hard to find- when I clicked the directions option on the booking, it took me to two different places that were both incorrect. The address for the campground is 262 depot street, and the campground map is difficult to find- doesn’t seem to be on the Hipcamp site. Our friends booked the river run site so we were able to take over the whole area, and our dogs could run around and play which was great! Very private and secluded, though it might have felt too close if people at the adjoining site (river run) were strangers. We will definitely be back, so many cool and different options for lodging!!
