The narrowest part of the driveway is 2.6m (about 8.5 feet). There is a 3m x 3m (10' x 10') tent platform and a large picnic table. Firewood is provided. Near our home about 120m/400 feet away through the trees but relatively private. Within a short pedal or drive to some of the best mountain biking and hiking Vermont has to offer, 15 minutes to Richmond and Hinesburg, and just a half hour to Burlington. Weekend Trip to Pine Cone Cabin

Small, cozy, and warm cabin. It snowed 2/3 days we were there, and wood stove kept us toasty! Dog’s enjoyed the little trail to the power lines in the morning. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

I loved my little snowy weekend here! The heated hive was lovely and warm, and Sandy was so kind. Her land is so very pretty, and I can't wait to see it in bloom again soon! The cabin was a perfect retreat for my husbands birthday. Our dogs enjoyed all of the outdoor adventures and cozying up with the wood stove. There’s enough creature comforts to feel at ease while also enjoying the simplicity of being in the woods.

Weekend Trip to Rooted Acres Farm

We had such a lovely stay here! The host was incredibly responsive to all our questions, and the cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It came with a portable heater inside that kept us warm at night (just remember to turn on the gas outside first!). Without proper winter clothing, it might be a bit chilly to stay here during the colder months, but we went toward the end of October and it was still perfect! And the hot tub!! Such a clever and wonderful addition! Just a heads up: you’ll need to build a strong fire to get it hot within about 3 hours, and you’ll likely want to make two fires - one for the tub and another to sit back and enjoy. Be sure to bring lanterns, as it gets dark pretty quickly once the sun sets. Even though we had cloudy skies, we could tell that on a clear night the stargazing would be incredible. The cabin is well-equipped with dishes and running water for light cooking, brushing teeth, etc. There’s also a small convenience store about 8 minutes away on the main road. Overall, we would highly recommend this place. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning!

This space was amazing! Ted was so attentive and communicative - gave us an extremely warm welcome. The cabin itself was perfect, couldn’t ask for more. The space heater kept us warm, the bed was comfy, the shower had warm water and the view was beautiful. We will be returning!

Weekend Trip to Harold's View Farm

We loved our stay in the Cabin at Louella’s place. It was peaceful, had a lovely view of the mountains, and everything we needed for a rustic weekend stay. The bed was comfortable with plenty of warm blankets available. We brought sleeping bags and a small propane heater that kept us warm enough. We hope to visit again in the future and would recommend the cabin to anyone looking for a cozy stay.

Weekend Trip to Green Mountain Trails

We stayed here while mountain biking the Heart of the Greens loop on the Velomont trail. It was the perfect spot. The stars were amazing, sunrise was fantastic and the descent in the morning was great. Matt was responsive and recommended some great trails. I want to back already.

A stone phantom lays atop the hill, Far away yet near the pulse. A richly loved and stocked stone hut Stands testament to hands and hearts. Well water to quench the thirst and cook, Logs to crack apart and warm the bones. Mattresses solid to cradle to sleep. Books to occupy a seeking mind, Tools and woods to occupy seeking hands. Bring food, clothes, bedding, fuel (if you don’t want to cook only on wood), power packs to charge devices, headlamps are always good, and an exploring soul. The mountains will mold you.

HOWL is at the bas of Camel's Hump! It's an easy drive to the trailhead and one heck of a hike up. Totally worth it! There are equally cozy or adventurous options all around HOWL.

HOWL is a lovely place to stay! The hosts were welcoming and warm, opened their home as if I was an old friend and made sure that I felt comfy and ready to enjoy the beautiful surrounds. I'd recommend staying there - either camping or in the farmhouse - anytime your path takes you to the Upper Valley in Vermont!
