Great Well water available near farmhouse. Biodegradable soaps Only if used in the ponds. Double Olympic sized Swim Pond we stock with Rainbow Trout to keep clear. We have been advised Not to allow imported firewood (can import Wood Beetle dangerous for our forest). - PLEASE use the Firewood bundle tubs we provide ($12.50) - pick up at the farmhouse or pull wood from the woods (and make it safer for use). The Guilford Fairgrounds is less than 1/4 mile away and has many hiking and biking trails. The land was originally part of a colonial Glebe Trust with the Church of England and divided up, the original 100+ year farmhouse and barn can be seen from many of the campsites. Guilford, Vermont is located in the southeast of Windham County, resting along the Massachusetts border to the south and New Hampshire not far to the east. A community with a long and interesting history, Guilford was actually Vermont’s largest town as long ago as 1790. Now, with a population of about 2,100, its by no means considered a large community yet with its beautiful old covered bridges, churches, and one-room schoolhouse, Guilford maintains an unmistakable sense of history while at the same time having a reputation as one of the truly unique small communities in southern Vermont. Guilford has some of the most quintessential small town landmarks in all of Vermont. Sites like the Christ Church, Broad Brook House, and Guilford Center Meeting House were all built in the early 19th Century and are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its a 15 min drive from Okemo/Ludlow, 10min drive from the Appalachian trail (7.9 mile walk) and there are 3 other Ski resorts within an hour of us as well as numerous lakes and hiking trails. Just 2 miles up the road is Star Lake and the quaint town of Belmont. Our 7 acres sits on the Northside of Belmont hill. Half of it is open with several gardens to meander through. On property we have a tree fort, greenhouse, chickens and pigs. We do provide fresh eggs for sale. There is a rudimentary outdoor toilet and shower. The shower can be filled with hot water using the faucet by the garage. 3 nights at Fall Water Farm

This little cabin was a nice retreat away from home for a few days. Having bedding provided was a nice touch and the bed is very comfortable. The parking is not far from the cabin (maybe 50-100ft) and the driveway was even plowed very shortly after a few inches of snow fell during my stay. There’s a fair amount of yard space available, great for playing in the snow this time of year, and the steam right outside the cabin door is a pretty sight and sound every time you exit. This cabin is also perfect for anyone who doesn’t like dealing with a wood stove to keep warm, instead a gas radiator controlled by a digital thermostat keeps the cabin warm exactly how you like it, a very surprising but much appreciated bonus I found out after arriving. Overall, this cabin was fantastic, warm, and cozy, and I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for somewhat easy cabin camping in the winter.

Weekend Trip to Bent Apple Farm

Perfect snow get away. Wood burning stove and heater kept us warm, even with just one. Enjoyed listening and looking through the vinyls. Loved the hot tub after a long day of hiking and the comfy bed. The cabin was cute and felt very lived in. It was a nice surprise to see a journal of how many people stayed there, especially during Covid, very lovely notes people left! Only down side - couldn’t stop sneezing at times, lots of dust in the crevices of the wood floor and fabric. Also wish there was a bit more privacy at the door and hot tub, could see the guest next door. Overall definitely would recommend and stay again!

I loved being there. Easy to find. Lovely to walk around the farm. Enjoyed the alpacas, chickens and turkeys. The staff was easy to communicate with via text. Electric, water and fire pit all easy to find and use.

The host accepted our last minute request on a holiday weekend! Great private spot in open field. Easy communications with host, family friendly and great for dogs. The river is a nice addition for the kids/dog. True to VT, it’s close to nothing, nearest coffee is 20 mins away. Great escape.

Gorgeous location! What a cool spot. Directions brought us right up the road that runs between the two main houses- Your classic white antique farmhouse on the left & the newer house on the right. Just past the house & down around back, we loaded up 2 big bins of firewood & headed down the hill to the campsite entrance on the right. There are 2 ponds along the road where RV's & vans can park, no fire pits, & kind of out in the open for us. The lower pond & camp site was lovely, but little tricky to get our little schoolie parked in close to the fire pit area, plus it was a bit wet & mushy, (understandably, in late November) so we decided to walk down & see if there was a dryer option. We found a few more drive-in campsites each with picnic tables, fire pits, a little outhouse & level, nicely woodchipped, tent spots. It's all pretty obviously marked with painted signs & little solar lights. Its adorable. We parked our bus down there since it was cold as heck & we wanted to be very close to a bonfire! This area was also more private, in the edge of the woods under the trees. We had the whole place to ourselves. We had a huge bonfire, while it lightly snowed. Beautiful.

We enjoyed the horse run in! The run in was clean and had everything we needed. Very much enjoyed the wood burning stove, hot tub, and fire pit. We found the dvd player, books, and record player charming. The farm is beautiful and we enjoyed the town of Londonderry. While the listed rules were a bit overwhelming, Ben and Loana were very kind and hospitable and easy to deal with (it was only surprising bc the rules had set a bit of a different tone). I would highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful place! The views of both sunrise and sunset are breathtaking, the location is perfect, and the property is very well maintained. Our host, Stephanie, was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Grateful Acres is just 25 minutes from great restaurants and coffee shops, and only 5 minutes from the stunning Somerset Reservoir and nearby hiking trails. We loved our stay and would love to come back!

We had a great time at the pond view campsite! Anthony was so kind and helped us bring all of our gear up and brought firewood up to us several times. The pond view was a little less dramatic than we were expecting but it was still a beautiful area and very private. Another note is that it was just us two single girls this weekend and we felt very safe. It was nice to know there was a family nearby if we needed them. All in all, we definitely recommend this site and would come back!
