My husband and I LOVED our two-night stay in the bed-in-the-shed this past weekend. We've been up to Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center to do some gravel riding before and knew what to expect as far as amenities go. We were super pleased to have such a lovely, quiet and peaceful place to rest our heads. Shari was kind in her welcome and super communicative before and throughout our stay. We'll be making this a regular camping spot when we're in Vermont for sure!

The perfect place to get away from the daily hustle. The cabin was well built and surprisingly insulated. The well-thought out design provided plenty of room. The location is far enough off the beaten path, but close enough to civilization to grab supplies if you needed to. The basic kitchen cooking utensils are provided. We will definitely be back. It was an absolutely enjoyable stay.

We loved staying at Darren's yurt. It was cozy and well-appointed. The picnic table, fire pit, fire wood, and maple syrup for sale on-site were also nice touches. Note, that the drive to the campsite from the road was quite treacherous, even with 4-wheel drive. We recommend for those with vehicles that are high off the ground. Darren was a wonderful, communicative, and helpful host!

Darren was the perfect host! Very responsive .The property is peaceful and private! The yurt is the perfect place for a Vermont getaway with Vermont decor and very spacious … My pup loved running free and the maple syrup made by Darren was delicious on blueberry pancakes made on the grill.I would highly recommend Darren’s yurt for anyone looking to escape into the woods for a relaxing getaway…

This is a gorgeous spot, situated on a private piece of land, surrounded by old apple trees, and wildflowers. The shed has everything you need, a comfortable bed and a roof over your head. Added extras of wood, and coffee in the morning were greatly appreciated. I highly recommend,the bed in the shed. It is part of a compound with other accommodation options, including an Inn and camping. We had a delicious dinner at the Inn one evening. Very easy to find, and central to lots of interesting walks, rivers, and waterfalls.

We loved staying at The Bed in the Shed. It was a perfect spot and I especially appreciated no tent wrestling (setup and breakdown were a breeze!). The property is so tranquil. We were the only campers so we basically had the place to ourselves. Great location for gravel riders! So happy we found this spot, we will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at Blueberry Hill. While we opted for the bed in a shed (which was whimsical) we actually spent the night tent camping in the area near the fire pit. It was private and perfect for our us and our two pups who were camping for the first time. You can see some of the other sites across the field and there is some road noise, but the road isn’t busy.
Beyond the actual site, the walk to the outdoor center is easy, which is great to use the bathroom and outdoor showers. We also loved how easy it was to get firewood (the kit they prepared for us was great with kindling!!). We ended our stay with a hike behind the inn property. There’s a great set of trails and it was so easy to access.
This would be a great drive-in campsite for a party that is a little less familiar with camping, or even more experienced campers who want some easy amenities and a great view of the sky. Quick access to Ripton and Middlebury if needed. We are already daydreaming about returning and will definitely be looking into the inn as well!

This last minute trip was perfect because it was cozy but was also in a camping setting and felt outdoorsy our kids loved it and its was just adorable. Darren was really attentive and answered really fast he had everything ready for us because we were coming so late and already had the door unlocked for us and i really appreciated that! The Bed in the Shed at Blueberry Hill was perfect, a private minimalist oasis in the Green Mountains, with the nicest hosts and great amenities. The shower and wifi and access to an adjacent building made for a great experience. 10/10, I definitely will return.
