We do live on the property with two small dogs (friendly) and chickens (contained). A privacy fence separates the homes. The drive way is shared by guests and property owners. Amenities: Excellent AC/heat Electricity -On demand tankless water heater. -Wi-Fi Kitchen has a mid-size refrigerator, 4 burner propane gas stove with oven, large sink and individual filtered water faucet, microwave, toaster, coffee bar, and all cooking and eating utensils necessary to prepare a meal. We provide coffee, tea assortment, creamer, sugar, spices, olive and avocado oils, and Farm Fresh eggs. Bathroom has a flush toilet, 36” shower stall with body wash, shampoo & conditioner dispenser. Weekend Trip to Capitol Reef RV Park and Glamping

Stayed in #60, an A-framed structure about 200sq/ft with electricity, AC, heat, and windows that view the sky. Site has a picnic table, fire pit, and chairs around the fire. Very comfortable bedding. Beautiful and quiet grounds. Well maintained. Bathrooms and showers are a 10/10. Justin at the store/clubhouse is top notch and a great host with great recommendations to local hikes and restaurants. There is also a cool dog park area that is fenced in and has some fun obstacles for them. All in all this place is awesome and we cannot wait to come back.

The A-Frame tent, and campgrounds in general, were pristine: clean, nicely appointed, and surrounded by stunning mountain views. We can't recommend this campground highly enough--a much welcomed newcomer to the Capitol Reef area!

What a great spot! The bath house is super nice -- running water, including 12 minute hot showers included with stay! There's also free laundry if you're staying and a nice big sink that I used to do dishes. A hangout area and tons of outlets for charging up electronics, couch and some tables/chairs, free wifi, and a microwave -- felt like I was glamping! I will definitely recommend this place to others! I will say, the tent camping spots while flat did not appear super level so just be aware of that. Great location close to many things in Grand Staircase as well!

Weekend Trip to Red River Camp - Capitol Reef

We boondock in our SUV so the spot was more than we needed. That being said, we were the only ones there and the red rock back ground was gorgeous, and the night sky so bright and clear. The porta-jon was clean and fresh. Other than the rain/wind storm that blew in for about an hour or two early in the morning, it was a very comfortable stay!

Beautiful and peaceful setting. Very clear directions and instructions. It was wonderful having full hook-up! And an extra nice surprise to receive a gift of coffee! Thank you! This site is ideal for stopping somewhere near Capitol Reef. Beautiful drive from the park through the National Forest; I was not expecting Ray's place to be as nice as it was. Brand new guest area with a TV, shower, laundry, and bathrooms with great WiFi. Great piece of land with excellent views and better services. As a tent camper Ray was kind enough to offer a trailer for my night's stay due to low temps. I have stayed at multiple hipcamps over the last few years and this is far and away the best. Will be coming back 100% when in the area.
