Luxe Den Capitol Reef sits on red rock at 7,000 feet outside Torrey, Utah, about 9 miles from the Capitol Reef National Park boundary. Capitol Reef is a Gold-tier International Dark Sky Park and Torrey is a certified Dark Sky Community, so the nights here are genuinely dark: on a clear, moonless night the Milky Way runs right overhead. Stay in a tipi, a Mongolian yurt or a geodesic dome. The tipis and dome sleep two and the yurts sleep three, and each has its own private bathroom a short walk away, in a dedicated bathroom building. Dogs are welcome in all six glamping units (up to two per stay, $15 per dog). Check-in is self-serve from 4 PM, check-out by 10 AM. Linens, towels and coffee are provided, and parking is free on site. There is no breakfast service; Torrey's restaurants are a few minutes' drive away. From here it's an easy drive to the Capitol Reef scenic drive, Hickman Bridge, Cassidy Arch and Cathedral Valley, and Scenic Byway 12 starts just down the road.
