As the name suggests, Where The Wild Things Camp truly is wild and not for everyone. We are off grid, meaning there is NO electricity, no drinking water, and only "spotty" cell phone service is best just anywhere before bathrooms. Make sure to check the weather forecast before coming out and be prepared for anything as the weather here in the desert can be unpredictable and ALWAYS stake down your tents! Red Desert RV Park has expanded to 55 full hookup RV sites along with 14 cabins. We are geared towards outdoor adventurists and sightseers wanting a cost-effective stay while taking advantage of everything Moab has to offer! We are locally owned by a family of 8 and love calling Moab our home. We understand the corporate overtaking that Moab has had in the last 5 years and plan to keep our campground affordably priced and locally owned. We have upgraded the old site plan from 7 RV sites to 55 Full Service RV sites this year. Most sites are pull through but we will have some back-ins. Our new bathhouse has a laundry, women's bathrooms and showers, men's bathrooms and showers, and an ADA compliant family style bathroom. In addition to the new bathhouse, we have a new office and retail store where we sell souvenirs, RV supplies, snacks, drinks, ice, firewood, and other necessities for guests. We do not currently have propane fill on site. We know that there are many options to choose from when it comes to staying in Moab. We urge people to support locally owned businesses that help Moab grow and solve problems that exist in our community. Moab is a recreation mecca with something for everyone and our little campground on the south end of the valley puts you within minutes of town, the mountains, and the red deserts around Moab.

Super friendly staff. Beautiful and super clean amenities and grounds. We received a text with clear instructions as we were due to arrive late. Don (staff) stayed up to meet us at the the main building and guided us to our site. He was joyful and helpful and such a great person to welcome tired and weary travelers. Bathrooms and showers were exquisite!

Weekend Trip to High Sage Hogans

We had such a great stay! The tipi was a really cool and unique camping experience, close enough to Moab to get to everything easily, but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of town. It was peaceful, quiet, and exactly what we were looking for. Our favorite part of the trip was definitely Ringo, the sweet dog on the property. He “showed us around” and played with our dog the entire stay. Watching them run and explore together was honestly a highlight. Danny was incredibly kind and hospitable. He checked in on us, made sure we were comfortable, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his guests having a good experience. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Great campsite with beautiful views! I stayed in mid November and had the whole place to myself. Site 4 was great. Site 5 would’ve also been a good choice. I passed by some of the other Hipcamps in the area and thought the sites at Arrowhead weren’t as on top of each other as the other ones. The outhouse was simple but very clean and was all you need. I would definitely stay here again!

The Arrowhead Campground is a short drive from the main highway. The best views of the Monuments, we even got to see the moon rise above them. Each site has a freestanding pergola (w/ one wall for wind control), a picnic table, and a firepit. There are two off the grid outhouses. Bring your own drinking and grey water. There is no running water available. Note: We stayed on site #7 were the owner's dog had visited us once in evening by the campfire and once in morning while we enjoyed a cup of coffee. He is a sweetheart who respects your space, but enjoys your company. He enjoys a little toss and catch with rocks or sticks. Don't worry he'll find the perfect rock or stick to toss. Thank you, Jeremy and family for sharing this special place with all us happy campers.

Jeremy is super accommodating, this is the 2nd time we have stayed with him. The views of the mesas and buttes from every campsite is outstanding. He is friendly and helpful (and if you would like a private tour of the backcountry of Monument Valley where only the Diné can go, he can definitely get you an A+ tour!). We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property.

Nice camp with enough space. Very good spot close to the Valley (walking distance). Friendly hosts. Three nice dogs are guarding the camp. Unforgetable dark sky with a wonderful milky way and an amazing view especially during sunset. Not easy to find (no sign next to the main road).
